(A/N) how I made the Sun doll

I had a few people asking how I made my lil sun doll so i figured I'd try to make a tutorial I'm not great at explaining stuff though-

What you'll need
·model magic clay
·craft felt
·acrylic paint
·polyester stuffing
·a chopstick (optional but it'll make life easier)
·metallic beads
·high-temp hot glue
·super glue
·some type of sealant
·scissors
·thin red ribbon and slightly thicker red ribbon

Step 1
sculpt hands, face, neck, and feet out of model magic
The neck and face should be separate pieces
Make sure to add flairs to the ankles wrists and base of the neck to help hold them in place when you assemble him

Step 2
Once the pieces are dry break apart any loose or weak joints and superglue them back together so they dont fall apart later
Paint, and seal

Step 3
Cut the rays out of felt leaving tabs on the ends so that you can attach them to the back of his face using high-temp hot glue, cover the ends with a circle of black felt and press it as flat as possible, once cooled attach his neck using hot glue as well and hold it tightly in place until it cools
Now his head is complete

Optional: before gluing on his rays you can add a gradient to them using acrylic paint

Step 4
Cut out felt pieces for his torso and pants making them slightly larger than they need to be for seam allowance and making his torso longer than is necessary so you can attach his legs
Tip: fold the felt in half to cut out both sides at once
Carefully glue the edges of the pieces together, leaving openings at the waist, neck, and ankles

Once the glue is cooled, carefully turn the pieces inside out (you may need a chopstick to help with the legs)

Step 5
Glue thin red ribbon to his pants to make the stripes, be sure to glue the edges so they don't run
Tip: you can cover up the seams on his legs with the ribbon
insert his torso into the pants, attaching it with glue around the waist
Attach his feet by gluing his pants legs around the thinnest part of the ankle
Be very careful, model magic softens with heat and may break easier

Step 6
Use a slightly thicker ribbon to cover up where you attached his waist and secure his ankles better
Add the stuffing once all of the glue is completely cooled (you may need a chopstick to help push stuffing down into his legs)

Step 7
To make his arms, fold the felt over and cut off the folded part a bit thicker than you want his arms to be, glue the edge together leaving the top and bottom open
turn inside out once the glue is cooled (probably gonna need a chopstick)

Step 8
Attach his hands the same way you did his feet and wrap his wrists with ribbon
Once the glue is cooled stuff his arms (again with the chopstick, I did say it makes life easier)

Step 9
Cut the tops of the arms at a diagonal to line up with his shoulders and glue them suckers on
His body is now complete

Step 10
To attatch his head to his body make a ruffle that fits tightly around his neck and will not slip over the base
(Idk how to explain that honestly ruffles are hard)
Insert the base of his neck into the torso and glue the ruffle to the torso to attatch, do not apply hot glue to his neck, it's too skinny, it-will-break

Finally for his bells and buttons attach metallic beads to his shoes using super glue and to his wrists using hot glue, and hot glue two small squares of ribbon to his chest

Optional: use acrylic paint to add joints and details to him

You're done!
