"We've been here for a whole work shift! I told you we should've went to grandma's house last night." Ziora complained standing in front of Kingdom Living Church.

"We can't go to grandma house every time we don't want to go to church" her sister Zara rolled her eyes, she was annoyed with being at church for going on 8 hours, which made her annoyed by her sister.

"and why the hell not?" Ziora placed her hand on her hips, ready to get out of the heels she wore.

"Zi, your language... we're in front of a church" Zara face lit up noticing her parents walking out the door.

"Girl, shut up Big G knows my heart." The sisters rushed to the car jumping in the backseat.

Ziora and Zara attended church with their parents two Sundays out of every month. It had been that way since they moved back into a home with their parents. The 25 year olds dropped everything to move with their parents, meaning they were back in their home until they could save money and move out.

"Ma, play Rod Wave." Ziora joked as they drove further from Cordova into South Memphis where they now resided.

The parents followed their church congregation to Tennessee. The loyalty to them was weird but she couldn't complain she was so ready to leave the state of Virginia.

"Rod who? Imma beat you with a damn Rod if you ask me to play him again." Her mom turned around playfully mugging her.

"Not the cussing right after church." Scrunching her face up she flinched when her mom sent a playful smack to her thigh.

"When you get home, go change. We're meeting a girl from my job." Zara and Ziora looked at the Snapchat of her co-worker Angel. In the background there were three niggas that wore big icy chains and dressed in designer clothes.

"Why I gotta go with you?" Ziora checked her phone for notifications, she sighed when she noticed it was just Fashion Nova. She wasn't waiting for a text from anyone but she figured since she paid her bill she could at least receive some damn messages.

"You know I'm not going anywhere without you."

Ziora sighed, getting out of the car when they pulled in front of their home. She rushed upstairs to shower and change. She couldn't lie, she was excited about going somewhere other than being home and going to work.

Unlike Zara, she couldn't find anyone worth hanging out with at her job. She barely spoke, she always had 'nigga thoughts' and the white people wouldn't understand

She decided to not do too much, this was only considered her being on "the block" but she still needed to be fly. She was new to South Memphis and she couldn't get caught looking like a bum.

Walking out of the room she smiled at a fully dressed Zara, nodding in approval at her twin sister. The fraternal twins were always the best dress and they didn't lack in the face area. The two girls were gorgeous. Ziora was the chunkier twin, she had the hips, ass and breast. Zara wasn't lacking but she was nowhere near as thick as her sister.

"Ready? I checked her location. They're literally only ten minutes away from here." Zara looked her sister over with a smile.

The car ride was short and they were able to get two songs out of it. When the girls reached their destination they pulled out the bottle of Patron they kept for reasons like these, between the two they had five shots each to give themselves a buzz but not get completely drunk around a bunch of people they didn't know.

Zara looked around locating her Co-workers who stood near the same three men that she recorded on Snapchat. One arm was wrapped around India's waist and the other hand held a double stacked white cup. Similar to the ones inside the hands of the other two men.

"How that nigga fold towels? He got a little chin." Zara scrunched her face up, her eyes then shot to Brickz.

Ziora thought he was cute, he definitely wasn't "lil bro" and he wasn't a runner. he wore a ton of jewelry, rings were placed on every finger, the chains that hung around his neck were filled with Diamonds and he rocked watches on both of his wrist. He was flashy, but his demeanor was very reserved. He let his money do the talking. He watched his surroundings. She noticed every couple of seconds his eyes shifted. While the two men engaged in a conversation he stayed to himself, getting a feel of the block that he was once raised on. Zara pulled Ziora to her co-worker.

"India this is Ziora, Zi, this is my coworker India." Zara introduced the two and Zi just smiled and waved. She felt uncomfortable around all the men.

"Nice to meet you." Her country accent flowed from her lips "That's Poppa, my man. Brickz and Money." She pointed out the three men that stood side by side. Money's name fit him well. You could tell he was loaded with money.

"Y'all want a shot of something?" India offered, she looked down at the bottles of Patron that were almost empty. She nodded her head when she saw the lonely Hennessy bottle that was sealed.

"We'll take a shot of Hennessy." She spoke up for her and her twin.

She felt a pair of eyes on her, she knew his mama taught him it was rude to stare because he was black.

When you were younger two things your black mama always taught you was, It's rude to point and stare. So she couldn't understand why he was doing such a thing.

DeMarion "Money" White. Since a child, Money found ways to make money. At the tender age of 9, Money got his first job at the grocery store bagging groceries. He was attentive and only worked with the cashiers that moved the fastest. The fastest cashiers meant more tips.

When the week ended, DeMario would go buy newspapers and resell it for more to the working citizens inside the South Memphis neighborhood— by 15, he started selling joints. The money wasn't the best, but he kept hustling.

Money name rang bells through each of the cities. He was one of the most talked about names, not only was he hated but he was admired. Whether it was the expensive cars that cruised Memphis streets, or the clothes that he'd only wear once to his hard demeanor. Money's name was always in someone's mouth.

Leaning against his matte white Rolls Royce Wraith, Brickz, Poppa and Poppas fiancé stood beside him. The three men occasionally took trips back to the neighborhood whenever there was events.

The girls walked passed eyeing Money, they did everything to get his attention. They wanted the money, cars, clothes and status like India had. He always paid them dust. Everyone had entered the block since they got word that Money, Brickz and Poppa made their way into South Memphis. They knew exactly where to find him, on his old block.

He wasn't a target, for now.

The niggas were trying to be seen as much as the woman and it made Money queasy. He couldn't see himself begging for a spot when he could've made his own and that's what he did. He made his own lane, without stepping on the toes of others in the beginning and that's what gained him so much respect, attention, love and ally's. He took over Shit effortlessly while creating territory.

You couldn't play Money pussy, ever. He was silent but deadly. He had the aim of a sniper. He never left a trace behind. He was quick on his feet and smart. He wasn't often tried for these reasons.

Money eyed the girl in black and orange who didn't pay him any attention. He chuckled.

"Yo, there go crazy ass Bri. Hide me Nigga." Brickz tried to stand behind Money who just laughed at his friend.

"Getcho dumb ass on."

"Brickz, I know you seen my text last night." Bri rolled her neck, flipping her hair off her shoulders.

"Bitch, stop playing you know I been blocked your number. You be on some nut shit. Delusional ass" Brickz used the palm of his hand to cup the top of her head "now turn around and get the fuck away from me."

Bri decided to take her L and not embarrass herself any further. Walking away, Money eyes fell on Ziora once again.

"Hey." She looked over at him with an awkward smile. With a simple head nod he looked her over once more. Her eyes looked him over from head to toe.

Nodding her head in approval, Money chuckled lowly.

"Come here ma." He gently grabbed her hand pulling Ziora in front of him.

"Where you from? What you doing in my hood?" Ziora stood in front of him, biting back her smirk she looked everywhere else but at him.

Placing his hand on her chin, she snapped her eyes in his direction pulling her face away.

"Stop my skin sensitive."

"That's black people favorite excuse." Brickz chimed in and Zara sucked her teeth.

"If her skin sensitive, her skin sensitive lil nosey, not our fault you got that sandpaper ass skin." Brickz looked down at Zara with a smirk on his face.

"I'm from Virginia Beach. I'm in your hood because I moved here last month and I'm on ya block because Angel invited us. That's alright with you?" She spoke sarcastically. Money chuckled lowly with a nod.

"How old are you?" Ziora looked young to him, but as long as she was over 21, he was going to get her.

"I'm 25. I turn 26 in April. Big Aries shit" She chuckled more to herself. "How old are you?"

"34."

"Damn! I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Ziora mocked Kevin Hart, Money sucked his teeth letting out a laugh.

"You got a nigga?" Money didn't care, he was going to have her whether she had one or she didn't. Placing the cup to his lip he took a sip. Ziora stood on the tip of her toes looking inside of the cup, scrunching her face up.

"Need to stop drinking that shit." She spoke matter factly. "— and no, I don't have a man Sir. You got a baby mama at home? Niggas love they baby mama." Ziora laughed lowly at herself.

"Nah, no baby mama at home. My bitch might get jealous though."

Ziora threw up the peace sign "gotta blast." Money grabbed the elastic on her leggings pulling her back in front of him.

"I was just playing man, chill." He smirked at her, licking over his lips.

"Yeah, you not finna have me crying, sliding down a wall and dry heaving. I don't like baby mamas and I don't like drama." Placing her hand on her hip she shifted her weight to her right leg.

Money licked his lips, Ziora was beautiful to him and her body was amazing. Whoever was her surgeon did her right. Some of these bitches waking about was built like Ants.

"Ion like baby mamas or drama either." He spoke in a bored tone.

"You hungry?" Money laughed watching her face light up, she nodded her head yes.

"Always." Grabbing her phone from her purse, she looked at the No Caller ID number, double clicked the power button to decline the call and toss it back into the pocket book she held on her side.

"we going to get some food, let's go." Money informed Brickz and Poppa who were both in their own world that included the women in front of them.

The phone rung again, Ziora raised her finger stepping back she answered with an annoyed look. Money grabbed the phone from her hands, he was simply doing Ziora a favor. He could tell she ain't want whoever was on the line to keep calling.

"yo." He spoke nonchalantly.

"who the fuck is this?" dude yelled on the other end.

"She busy." Money hung up the phone placing it in her hand.

"ion like ex Niggas and ion like drama."

Ziora smirked at him, rolling her eyes playfully. She was intrigued.

"you riding with me." Money opened the door up and she closed it back.

"I'm riding with my sister."

As on cue, Zara walked over to Ziora

"Zi, I'm going to take my car home. I'm riding with Brickz to the restaurant. Is that okay with you? If not, we can ride together that's no problem."

Ziora shook her head no and looked at Money who held the passenger door opened once again.

"nah girl, ride him... i mean ride with him." Ziora laughed loudly with her sister "I'll ride with Money. Stay safe." They smiled and parted with each other getting into the separate car.

this was the start of Ziora's and Money journey. a wild but contagious ride.
