Mr Kim was staring at Mrs Son with eyes full of love. He finally succeed to convince the woman to move to his house. After one year of a secret relationship, she agreed to take a new step in her life with that man.
They met one and a half year ago at Mrs Son's café. She was a new manager, and he was a regular customer. A handsome man, always alone, coming every week, the same day, at the same time, ordering the same thing, 2 latte and a cake. But he always left after drinking one coffee.
Mr Kim: I will come to pick you tomorrow morning and we can spend the entire weekend together so the kids can get to know each others.
Mrs Son: Honey, you know, my Y/N is a very quiet kid... but do your sons will agree to us moving in?
Mr Kim: It will not be an issue... they are obedient kids. I'm sure that the youngest will be happy to have a female presence at home.
Mrs Son finished her drink and took a look at her phone. She must go and cook dinner for her daughter who was probably back from school. She smiled to her lover and said while standing up:
Mrs Son: It's time, I need to go...
Mr Kim: Let me take you back home.
The couple got on Mr Kim's car, and he drove her to her house. During the ride, she was thinking about this past year and the new turn that her life took after she met that man.

Mrs Son is a 35 years old single woman who ran way from her abusive husband. She escaped from her miserable life with her daughter 2 years ago. Y/N is now 10 years old. She was beaten by her father and since she has trust issue and barely speak. Mrs Son did everything possible to keep her safe and since they ran way, she used different names, changed of job and places every six months. but this time, things were different.
She met Mr Kim during her shift and naturally, they started to talk. At first their relationship was friendly but one day, Mr Kim asked her for a date. She refused several times but finished by say Yes. And after a second and a third one, they were a couple.
Mr Kim was widower with 7 sons. He was 45 years old and a powerful businessman in the eyes of everyone. He owned several companies but also some underground business that he delegates the management to his trust men and his elder sons.
He found a second life as a man with Mrs Son. He married his first wife very young and had his first child at 23. His wife died from a cancer 5 years ago and she asked him to find someone else to grow old with. At first, he was not interested by dating women, but it was different with Yejin. She made him feel alive again.
Mr Kim knew about Yejin's past, and he swore to never treat her like that. He was completely honest with her about his business and even if she was a bit afraid at first, she trusted him.

Mr Kim: Yejin... Mrs Son... we arrived. Where were you?
Mrs Son: Ah... sorry I was only thinking.
Mr Kim: Not to another man I hope???
Mrs Son: I have no time for that Mr Kim. Be careful on you way back... and text me when you're home.
Mr Kim looked at her girlfriend entering her small apartment. He felt someone staring at him and saw a tiny silhouette at the window of the second floor. He smiled but the little girl quickly hid herself. He was waiting for the next day with impatience. He wanted to offer them a new life, a decent and deserve life.
Mrs Son: Y/N, I'm home. How was school?
Y/N: Hi... as usual...
Mrs Son: Y/N, can we talk? (Y/N nodded and sat on the couch without a word.) Y/N, you know that mommy has a boyfriend, right? (She nodded.) Well, what do you think if we move to his house? (Y/N looked down and stayed silent.) He is a very kind man, I promise. You know that mommy will never let anyone hurt you, right? (She nodded.) Y/N?
Y/N: If mommy wants to go... I'm okay to go...
Mrs Son knew that her daughter would agree only to please her. But she wanted to take that opportunity to show her that life could be different.

Mr Kim stopped by his office before going home. When he entered the house, his sons were ready to have dinner. He joined them.
Mr Kim: Guys... as you all know, I'm seeing someone, and I asked her to come live here with us.
A silent followed after their father revelation. Jin, the eldest, said:
Jin: Are you planning to marry her? Does she know that you have your own family and our activities?
Mr Kim: Yes, she is aware. And no, we didn't plan to get married for now... we just want to live together.
The youngest were listening the conversation with interest while Yoongi and Namjoon were already back to their phone.
Jin: Strange... but it's your life, it's not like we have a word to say.
Mr Kim: Yejin wants to be sure that it will not be an issue for you to have them here... It will not change your life.
Hoseok: Them?
Mr Kim: Yes, she has a little girl... Y/N, she is 10.
Jungkook: I don't want a girl with us! I'm sure she is just a boring baby of her mama!
Mr Kim stared at his youngest. His rebel attitude although he didn't meet them was not acceptable for him.
Mr Kim:Son, I thought that you will be happy to have a woman in the house but not thatyou will react like a spoiled kid! Anyway, they will come here tomorrow so Icount on you to welcome them in a good way.
No one dared to talk after, and the dinner finished in silent. Mr Kim went to his bedroom while his sons went to Yoongi's room.
Jungkook: Hyung, why Dad wants to have that woman in our house?
Jin: JK, you are still young... our Dad is a man before being a father.
Namjoon:And for that he will impose us his girlfriend and her daughter!
Yoongi: I don't care who Dad will brought in our house so have your pseudo meeting somewhere else.
Jimin: I'm not against... (He felt his brothers stares.) What? I'm just curious about what it is to have a little sister...
Taehyung: pff I'm agree with JK, I don't want them in our house!
Taehyung left followed by Jungkook. Namjoon had no interest in that discussion, so he also left Yoongi's room.
Jin: Hobi, what do you think?
Hoseok: Like Yoongi Hyung, I don't care, it will not change my life. As soon as they don't put their noses on our business...
Yoongi: If you are done, I need to sleep.
Jin: Okay, okay, Jimin, let's go, our dear brother needs to rest.
Jimin went to his bedroom while Jin went to the kitchen to grab a beer. He was sure that the next days will not be quiet.

The next morning, Mr Kim was ready to leave when Jimin stopped him. He wanted to accompany his father to pick up Mrs Son and Y/N.
Mr Kim: My son knows how to please his father.
Jimin: Don't worry Dad, they will accept your girlfriend soon, I'm sure.
Mr Kim: You're only 16 but are way more mature than some of your brothers. I count on you to help Taehyung and Jungkook to change their mind. I will not accept a bad behavior from them.
The driver parked the car in front of Mrs Son's building. Mr Kim went upstairs followed by Jimin and knocked at the door. Few seconds later, Yejin welcomed them.
Mrs Son: We are almost ready... please come in... ah, you're not alone.
Mr Kim: Jimin, one of my sons, he wanted to pick you up too.
Jimin: Hi Aunty, I'm Jimin... nice to finally meet you.
Mrs Son: Omo... you're so cute... (She pinched his cheeks and he blushed.) Y/N, are you done? It's time to go! Y/N... hurry up!
Mr Kim: Yejin, we have time, don't rush her...
A tiny girl came from the only bedroom of the apartment with a bag on her back. She seemed smaller than kids of her age and was looking down.
Mrs Son: Y/N, this is Mr Kim Songho and his son Jimin. She is my daughter, Y/N. She is a bit shy.
Mr Kim: Hi Y/N, nice to meet you, you mother talked a lot about you.
Y/N: Hi... Nice to meet you too... (Her voice was very low.)
Mrs Son: Let's go! ... Y/N, relax, okay?
Yejin took Y/N's hand and Mr Kim took her suitcase. They got on the car and Jimin sat next to Y/N. She didn't say a word after leaving the apartment. Jimin tried to engage the conversation whit her.
Jimin: Y/N... Are you happy to move in with us? (He asked with a warm smile, but she looked at him quickly without answering before looking down again.) ahaha... you can talk freely you know.
Mrs Son: Sorry Jimin, Y/N is not at ease with people.
Jimin: I understand... she is still young and it's a big change.
Mrs Son: You are really mature...
Jimin smiled to Mrs Son. He liked to be praised and he immediately felt at ease with his father's girlfriend. He found Y/N cute even if she was distant. They arrived at the Kim's mansion after 20 minutes.
Mr Kim: Ready to meet everyone?
Mrs Son: I am a grown woman you know, I'm not afraid of kids... but are they ready to have us in their house?
Mr Kim:Of course, you don't have to worry about that. Let's go inside.
Jimin led the way, and they entered the huge house. Y/N was looking everywhere while holding tightly her mother's hand. This place was too big for that little girl. When they arrived at what looks liked the living room, they heard male voices. There was 2 guys playing games on a giant screen while 2 others were on their phones.
Jimin: Guys, we're back.
Everyone stopped talking and they looked at the newcomers. The two guys on their phones stood up but the two youngest just continued their game.
Mr Kim: humhum... (He showed his annoyance.) Sons...
Jin: Hi Mrs Son, I'm Seokjin, the eldest son of this family, nice to finally meet you. This is Hoseok, and the two youngest Taehyung and Jungkook.
Mrs Son: Hi everyone, nice to meet you too. I am Yejin and this is my daughter Y/N.
Jungkook and Taehyung bowed to Yejin after the bad glare of their father before the four brothers looked at the tiny girl who was trying to hide herself behind her mother.
Mr Kim:Jungkook, call Yoongi and Namjoon. Yejin,please take a seat. Y/N, do you want to drink something?
Y/N shook her head and sat near her mother. A man came with some soft drinks and 2 minutes later, Yoongi and Namjoon showed up. They introduced themselves and took place on the couch. The ambiance was awkward. It was clear that all the sons were not happy to have those 2 intruders in their house.
Mrs Son asked the boys questions about school or their hobbies and everytime, their answers were direct and short. Jin is 22, Yoongi 21, are at university and work part time in the family companies. Hoseok 19 and Namjoon 18 are 1st year university students. Namjoon skipped a grade. Both of them also started to have interest in business. Jimin 16 is with Taehyung 15 in the same high school who is part of a big complex with Jungkook's middle school. The youngest is 13.
Mrs Son: So, as I said earlier, you can call me Yejin, I'm 35 and work as a Manager in a café. Don't need to be too formal with me, I am a simple person. Y/N is 10 years old and as you can see, she is quiet child. And oh, she has a common point with you Namjoon, Y/N also skipped grades, 2 to be precise. She is just one year below Jungkook.
Namjoon: Good for her. (His tone was cold.)
Mr Kim: That's great. (He smiled to Y/N.) You will not feel alone in your new school with the boys.
Y/N: I have to change of school again?
Y/N finally spoke, and everyone stared at her. She questioned her mother but immediately looked down after those few words. Jimin noticed the "Again" and her sad tone.
Mrs Son: Yes, it will be easier if we live here.
Taehyung: Dad, can we go to our room now?
Mr Kim: It seems like those kids are too busy to stay with us... (He stood up after staring at his son.) Yejin, let me show you the house.
Mrs Son: Did you forget what is it to be a teenager? Don't force them to stay here because of us, I don't want to disturb their habits. (She smiled to the boys and followed her boyfriend with Y/N.)
Taehyung and Jungkook disappeared in an instant. Yoongi went back to his room too. He had some work to do and didn't want to lose his precious time. Jin asked questions to Jimin about his first impression of Yejin and her daughter. He was curious but also glad to see his dad happy.
For lunch, Mrs Son proposed to cook. It was new for her to cook for 10 persons, but she wanted to try the challenge. Usually, the Kim family has a chef who prepared their food and the butler who take care of the house. Mr Kim didn't want to have female staffs and only took a chef and a butler to take care of the children. His wife was the one who manage everything before her death.
Mr Kim: You don't have to do that to please the kids...
Mrs Son: It's not to please your sons but I'm used to cook our own food, that's all. Y/N, Sweetie, why don't you go to the living room while I'm preparing lunch.
Y/N nodded and timidly went back to the living room. She quietly sat on the couch but felt Jimin's stare. He went to sit near her.
Jimin: ...So, Y/N... what do you think of the house? If you have question or if you need something, tell me. (She nodded.)
Hoseok: Jimin... You found a new toy... (He laughed.)
Jimin:Hyung! I only try to make her at ease...
Jin: Kid, where is your father?
Jin asked by curiosity, but he didn't expect to see that type of reaction from that little girl. She stared at him for long seconds and her eyes became teary. It was like she wanted to say something, but the words were stuck on her throat. She nervously played with her fingers. When she saw Mr Kim coming, she ran to the kitchen.
Mr Kim: Y/N, what's wrong? What's going on here? Jin, tell me!
Jin: I only asked her where is her father and she...
Mr Kim: In the future, never mention her father in front of her...
Hoseok: It means that we will have to be careful of our every words and actions from now on just because of that kid?!
Mr Kim: I only ask you to be careful with Y/N. She is young and had a difficult life. I know that you will not consider her like a little sister in one day, but treat her well, that's all!
Mr Kim went back to the kitchen and found Y/N sat on a corner. Yejin was explained to the young girl that she needed to open up a little.
Yejin finished to prepare the food and they all reunited at the dinning table. Jungkook and Taehyung were glaring to Mrs Son and her daughter as soon as they sat. Once again, Yejin tried with Mr Kim help, to start the conversation, but it was not an easy task.
The rest of the day were quiet. Y/N found a quiet place in the garden and installed herself with a book. Her mother and Mr Kim enjoyed a moment alone in the living room when all the boys left to their bedrooms.
After dinner, Mr Kim showed Y/N her new bedroom.
Mr Kim: Y/N, this is your bedroom, I hope that you like it!
Y/N: Yes, thank you Uncle.
Mrs Son: It's a very nice room, right Y/N? Look at all of these... Songho, when did you prepare this?
Mr Kim:I have an efficient team... and I want the both of you feel like this is yourhome
Yejin smiled with affection to her boyfriend and Mr Kim let them alone. Y/N took her pajama and went to the bathroom. After that Y/N was ready to sleep, Yejin joined Mr Kim.
Y/N was now alone in that big room. She never slept alone since they ran away from her dad. She felt anxious and couldn't fall asleep.
After an hour, she needed to see her mom and found the courage to leave her room. She was trying to find her way when Yoongi, Namjoon and Taehyung show up in the corridor.
Taehyung: That movie sucks!
Namjoon: Let Dad hear you and you will see what will happen.
Yoongi: (He saw Y/N and asked in a cold tone.) What are you doing here?
Y/N stared at them few seconds before answering with her small voice.
Y/N: Mom... I want to see my mom...
Taehyung: That baby wants her mommy...
Namjoon: You will not disturb adults in their bedroom at this hour... Go to your room!
Y/N: ... but... (She looked down once again.)
Yoongi: Are you stupid or deaf!
Taehyung:Probably both... ahahah...
Jimin heard the voices coming from the corridor and came out of his bedroom.
Jimin: Guys, what's wrong? Y/N, you're not sleeping?
Namjoon: That idiot was about to barge in father's room.
Jimin: Hyung, she probably wants to see her mom. Y/N, come with me, I am taking you to her.
Yoongi: Jimin-ah, are you stupid? You're 16, think 5 minutes.
Jimin: Aishh... Y/N do you need something, I can maybe help you.
Namjoon: Take her to her room! Such a nuisance...
Y/N was scared of them. They didn't hide their repulsion to her presence. Jimin didn't understand why his brothers were so rude with her. He wanted to grab Y/N's wrist, but she stepped back, afraid.
Taehyung: Jimin... you're nice with her, but that ungrateful brat is afraid of you...
Jimin: Y/N, you don't have to be afraid... no one will hurt you...
Taehyung: Don't listen to him and be scared... it's better.
Jimin took Y/N's hand and dragged her to her bedroom.
Jimin: Y/N... don't worry about my brothers, they are a bit cold, but they will not harm you. My father and your mother will be sad if they know that you are afraid to live here.
Y/N: I'm sorry... I only want to see my mom...
Jimin: Your mom is probably already asleep. Tell me what's wrong? Are you scared to be alone? I saw that there was only one bedroom in your house, you sleep with your mom usually?
Y/N nodded before looking down as usual. Jimin took one of the plush and handed to the little girl.
Jimin: You are not really alone... you have him. (He smiled but didn't receive a smile back.) You're not easy with me... but it's okay, you need time to be used to me, I understand, I'm 16 you know.
Y/N grabbed the plush and lay down under the blanket. She murmured a small "Thank You" and closed her eyes to notify to Jimin that he could leave. The teenager smiled and left to his own bedroom.

The next morning, Yejin woke up early. She was preparing breakfast with the chef when her phone rang. It was the owner of the café, he needed Yejin to take the shift today instead of the other manager who was sick. She firstly hesitated but he promised to give her a bonus and she didn't want to let down her colleagues.
Mrs Son: Sweetie, Mommy needs to go to work. I will try to find someone to take the afternoon shift, but you will have to stay here for now. Honey, is it okay if Y/N stayed here with you?
Mr Kim: You are not seriously asking that, right? You are both living here now, this is your house.
Y/N: It's okay Mom, don't worry about me.
Yejin quickly grabbed her bag and left. Mr Kim asked one of his men to drive her. Y/N was taking her breakfast with Mr Kim when the boys arrived.
Jin: Where is Mrs Son?
Mr Kim:She had to go to work, Y/N will stay with us today.
Namjoon: So now, we have to babysit that kid too!
Mr Kim: Namjoon, pay attention to your tone! Jungkook, Taehyung, you're the closest in age with Y/N, why won't you play with her after breakfast?
Jungkook and Taehyung exchanged a devilish look.
Taehyung: I'm sure that she is not interested by your proposition! (He sent a dark glare to Y/N.)
Y/N: I have homework to do... I can stay in my bedroom...
Jungkook: Great, stay in your room, far from us!
Mr Kim was piss off because of his two youngest sons. They were acting like spoiled kids, and he needed to remind them who ruled this house. He stayed silent until they finished their breakfast. When Y/N left to her bedroom, he called Jungkook, Taehyung and Namjoon into his office.
The 3 brothers were no testing their father's patience anymore. Mr Kim scolded them and warned them to not play the pseudo bad boys with Y/N or they will have to face his anger.
Namjoon: I can't believe Dad! Aisshh... being scolded like a 5 years old kid because of that stupid girl!
Taehyung: I will make her regret her desperate tentative to steal our Dad's attention!
Jin: Don't do something stupid Tae, you will be punished otherwise. And that kid didn't do anything. Father tries too much to create a bond between them and us.
Jungkook and Taehyung didn't listen to Jin and went upstairs to find Y/N. Their father wanted them to play with that girl, they will play with her, in their own way. They entered her bedroom without even knocking that made Y/N startled.
Taehyung: You, didn't I warn you last night! Dad scolded us because of you!
Y/N: I'm... sorry... But I didn't... ah... what... what are you doing?
Jungkook: We will play with you as Dad requested...
He smirked and dragged Y/N across the house, under his brothers' stare...
