I was in my room getting ready for tonight. I haven't had the chance to loosen up on this stressful ass tour and have fun. I got out the shower and put on some clothes. I sighed knowing august always call me after his shows to brag about how good he did and how much he wanted me there
"He probably sleep" Chris said. I nodded
"I should get going, it's late" I said getting up. Chris did the same since he drove us here. We were talking about a little of everything while on the car
"Are you excited" I said referring to Kenzie
"Yeah I'm a lil nervous thou" he said shrugging
"Why? You already got two kids?" I said. He chuckled
"This time it's different, I'm actually with Kenzie l, well was and don't gotta question if it's truly mines or not" he said. I nodded as he pulled up to august house.
"Was?" I questioned. He nodded
"She told me that everything is not what it seems and I would understand later until then she doesn't want to be with me" he said shrugging. I nodded understanding that she's probably scared
I was about to get out the car until he spoke again
"I'm really proud of you" he said. I looked back at him
"What?" I said. He smiled
"I'm proud of you. You really taking care of yourself and you doing good asf at this music shit. You gonna take off I promise you" he said. I smiled and wanted to cry at the same time.
"Thank you Chris. I really appreciate that" I said reaching over and hugging him
"Ight gone wit that sensitive shit" he said pushing my head. I laughed and closed the door. I unlocked the door and went upstairs.
I haven't heard I'm proud of you since my mom passed. I almost cried real tears back there but I had to catch myself. I really was proud of myself but it felt good to hear it from somebody else that acknowledged your progress
