Saturday - 11:35pm-August
"New York Make sum mf noise" I said screaming in the mic
"It's been an honor. I Preciate y'all rs, label coming soon" I said throwing up deuces and walking off stage.
I got my towel from the lady backstage and went to my dressing room.
"Wassup" trey said. I sucked myself teeth
"Tf you doin in my dressin room" I said looking at this nigga eat my chicken
"Look man this beefin shit petty as hell" he said standing up.
"I ain beefin wit you Nigga. I just don't fw you. It's a difference" I said opening the door so his ass can get out.
"Ight bru" trey said walking out. I blew my breath in frustration.
"2 moe months" I repeated to myself.
I grabbed my stuff and headed out to bump into some broad.
"My fault" I said lookin up. She smiled
"No I'm sorry. I should've been paying attention" she said. I looked at her up and down. She was a light skin thick sum.
"I'm draya by the way" she said sticking out her hand. I shook it
"August" i said shaking her hand.
"I know" she said walking away looking back at me.
I watched her walk pass and looked at her butt. Damn she got a fatty. Nah nah shut Ts up I gotta girl and nobody fuckin wit her.
After my show I went straight back to the hotel, I wasn't feelin the after party tonight. I took a shower and FaceTimed Ahmira
"Wassup mamas whatchu doin" I said looking in the camera
"I am in the studio" she said smiling. I smiled at her
"You figured out how to work it" I asked
"Yeah Chris helped me" she said messing with the sound board. I nodded
"I miss ya" I said
"Awwn I miss you too" she said kissing the screen.
"How was your show"
"It was coo. Could've been Betta if I had my lady hea" I said sitting down on the bed
"Babe you know I wanted..." she started
"To start yo career" I said she sighed
"I thought you would be happy" she said folding her arms
"I am happy baybah I just want you hea wit me" I said
"Be more supportive please " she said
"I'm sorry ma" I said she nodded
"Well I gotta go" she said I sighed
"Baybah" I said as she hung up. I blew my breath and laid back until I heard a knock on my door. I got up and opened the doe.
"Damn you not gonna let me in" she said smirking
"Tf you doin hea Chanel" I said looking down at her
"Well hi to you too" she said walking in and sitting on the bed
"Bru you gotta get outta hea" I said pointin towards the door
"What you don't miss me" she said getting up and rubbin her hand down my chest
"What you doin hea bru" I said smackin her hand
"You know my sister yo backup dancer. I'm here supporting and supporting you" she said kissing my chest
"You got 5 seconds to get out" I said clenching my jaw. She laughed and walked away
"Bye babes" she said waving and walking out. I rubbed my hands down my face
Sunday - 12:34pm- Ahmira
Today was my relaxation day. But Kenzie haven't been answering her phone so I was going to pay her a little visit. I knocked on her door and she waited until she answered
"Hey" she half smiled while fixing her robe. Her eyes were puffy and she was sniffling.
"Kenzie are you okay?" I said taking a step back.
"Yeah I just have Covid" she said waving me off and walking back in her house. I pulled out a a mask and put it on and walked in.
"So you couldn't answer your phone" I said sitting down at the end of the couch
"I didn't feel like talking" she said shrugging her shoulders and taking a sip of her tea
"Have Chris been here to take care of you" I asked
"Yeah. I told him I didn't want him to be here" she said blowing her nose. I tilted my head
"Um Kenzie, is it something else wrong" I asked her.
"Why would you think that?" She said turning her attention towards me
"You? Sensitive McKenzie doesn't want to get babied while sick? Something's wrong" I said looking at her. She sighed
"Ahmira " she said waving me off
"Tell me" I said resting my hand on her knee.
"I have Covid, but the last time me and Chris had sex he didn't pull out" she said rubbing her forehead.
"Awwwn so your pregnant" i said smiling
"No Ahmira, well...I don't know. I'm scared" she said shaking her head
"Why?" I said looking at her
"What happened to my mom" she said wiping her eyes
"Ohhh Kenzie" I said hugging her not caring if she was sick
"I just can't live with that" she said shaking her head and bawling on my shoulder
"Don't think of it that way. That won't be the case with you, but first we have to get you a pregnancy test" I said looking at her. She wiped her face and nodded.
"Okay I'll be back okay " I said getting up and walking out the door
"Now where you going" Max said shaking his head. I rolled my eyes and got in the car ignoring him.
I know august hired him to protect me but he talks too much. Just shut tf up and follow me, whenever something pops off just do your job.
I pulled off heading towards the 24hr corner store. Hopefully they had test. I got out and so did Max. I went in the store and looked around until I went into the isle where the test was and picked up 4 just to make sure
"Um Miss does august know" Mac said tapping my shoulder. I rolled my eyes
"Mind your business" I said walking up to the register. I paid and walked back to my car. I got in and drove back to Kenzie house and used my key to get in.
"Kenzie" I said coming in with the bag.
"Upstairs" she shouted. I went upstairs and went to her room and she was laid out on the bed.
"I got four" I was putting them on the bed. She rose up and looked at the boxes
"Okay but you take 2 and I'll take the other two" she said handing me the box's
"But these are for you. I'm not pregnant Kenzie" I said chuckling
"Okay when's the last time your had a period" she said folding her arms. My smile dropped
"Um I don't know like a month or two ago" I said shrugging
"Take them and meet me back in here" she said walking in the bathroom. I sighed and looked done at the boxs
I mean I always wanted another kid but I never really thought about it. I half smiled knowing I had another chance of becoming a mother
I walked to the other bathroom in the hallway. I opened the packages and sat on the toilet while holding the test in my hand. I peed on them and did my business washing my hands off.
I went back to Kenzie room with tissue around the test. I sat the bed and waited. She came out and sat next to me
"Whatever happens, it's okay" she said holding my hand. I smiled and held her hand. We sat in silence until her timer went off
I hopped up and set the test on the dresser scared to look at them. I rubbed my palms together wanting to call august but I didn't. Kenzie came out the bathroom and looked up at me.
"What does yours say" she said holding her tests. I took a deep breath and walked up to the dresser. I picked them up and looked at them
"It's... negative" I said lowly. I didn't know how to feel. I wanted to have another chance because it wasn't fair the first time but maybe it wasn't my time yet. Kenzie rubbed my shoulder
"What does yours say" i said turning around to say clearing my throat. She took a deep breath and looked down at the test
"It's says" she said squinting. She started smiling
"Omg I'm pregnant" she said squealing and jumping up and down. I smiled and hugged her
"Omg I'm soo happy. Hopefully it's a girl" I said rubbing her stomach
"Hopefully " she said looking down.
"Now you gotta tell Chris" I said jumping up and down. Her smile dropped
"What if he doesn't want another kid, especially with me" she said sitting down on the bed
"Mmtch girl he loves you" I said waving her off. She smiled
"I'm pregnant " she shouted while dancing in her seat.
I smiled at her. She deserved everything good coming her way
