"I'm gonna have to see Moon" you stated "what? Why would you need to do that?" Sun asked nervously "well when I was looking at his ai chip this thing broke off" you explained as you pulled the part out of your pocket to show Sun "and I couldn't figure out where it went so I just wanna check how badly I just screwed up" you added, "you broke him?" Sun questioned quietly, sounding somewhat horrified "I dunno yet, maybe, I could just be something as simple as him not knowing how to pronounce a few words any more or he could not be able to learn at all, or anything really, that's why I wanna check" you explained, starting to walk away "I'm gonna go over here and hide, you can turn off the lights okay?" You said, ducking back behind a pile of foam shapes "o-okay I guess..." Sun said, waiting for you to hide before switching the lights off, it was quiet for a while before you heard an unfamiliar voice "mmmm... weird...dream" they muttered, sounding disoriented, you peered over the foam shapes to see Moon sort of just standing there, his eyes which were currently pale blue rather than red scanned over the room to confirm that it was empty "closing time?... Already?" He questioned, picking up your tool kit which you'd left on the floor and placing it on the desk before pushing the foam block you'd been sitting on back over to the pile which you currently hid behind, looking around the room one more time before holding his hand up at which point a cable dropped from the ceiling and he caught it, hooking it to the loop on his back and quickly being reeled up onto the platform before halting at the doorway, scanning the inside of the room and suddenly shouting "SUN WHAT DID YOU DO!?...WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOTHING?!...THERE ARE DESTROYED BOTS IN OUR ROOM THEY ONLY PUT THINGS THAT WE'VE BROKEN IN HERE!....I DID NOT I'VE BEEN ASLEEP ALL DAY!......... 3 YEARS?!" His voice still sounded mild despite his shouting, nothing like the growl you were used to hearing from him and clearly not meant to be loud, You listened to him, confused for a minute before realizing he was arguing with Sun and you just couldn't hear what Sun was saying, he rushed into the room then and you could hear the floor scraping as things were moved around, you also heard a lot more shouting though you couldn't quite make out what was being said other than "WHERE IS THE CEILING?!" At one point
Eventually when things calmed down you headed out of the daycare and to the door to their room, knocking and waiting patiently to be let in, you could hear a muffled conversation as Moon approached the door "who is here?...i don't know anyone name y/n....well why are they trying to get into our room it's a mess in there I don't want them to see it, it's honestly embarrassing....they already have?...fine" Moon opened the door for you before imeadiatly turning around and walking back down the hallway "there, happy now?...of course I'm in a bad mood.... Well apparently I've been asleep for three years and my entire life fell out from under me.... how am I supposed to feel" he grumbled as you followed him into the room which was already a bit more organized and he resumed his cleaning, entirely ignoring your existence within the room "he-" you began to speak before being cut off "I do not socialize past closing time" he muttered "its not past closing it's actually only 3pm" you explained "fine then, speak, what were you going to say?" He replied "well I was going to say hello since this is my first time meeting you without you trying to maul me" you said "I don't 'maul' people so I don't know what you mean by that...if it's not past closing then where are all of the kids?" He questioned "the building isn't closed but the daycare is, I've been running repairs on you and Sun for the past few days" you answered "it will be open again starting tomorrow" you added before hearing the doors down in the daycare open "Y/N?" a now familiar voice called "YEAH?" You called back, heading out onto the platform "oh, I just saw that the lights were out on the camera feed so I figured I'd check on you!" the employee replied before Moon walked out onto the platform "why would you need to check on them? I'm fairly capable of monitoring one person!" He replied "well y'know, given your reputation I kind of assumed the worst!" The employee replied before hurrying out of the room "GET BACK HERE, WHAT REPUTATION!?" Moon shouted after them "so you really don't remember anything you did?" You asked "how am I supposed to remember what I did if I haven't done anything!? For three entire years!" Moon replied before looking towards the floor for a moment, listening to whatever it was Sun was telling him "yes I know you told me that already but I'm telling you whatever that was it wasn't me" he replied before you pulled the part out of your pocket again to show Moon "I'm starting to think it was this" you said as Moon leaned in to look at the tiny object, he had night vision which wasn't made to process fine detail well "what is that? A dead bug?" He questioned "no, it's a part that was hooked into your ai chip, it wasn't welded on so I think someone could've stuck it on there some time after you were made" you explained "and now that I broke it off you're back to normal or awake or whatever it was you said, it must be some sort of hacking device or inhibitor that was blocking you out" you said "well then get it away from me, I don't want anything to do with it...yes I heard them Sun, very smart" he replied as he took a step back away from you and you stuck the part back in your pocket "it's nice to finally meet you, sun has told me a lot about you already" you said "yeah, well he hasn't stopped yapping about you since I let you in here and it's about to drive me crazy.....well it's too late now Sun I already told them.....its nice to meet you too y/n" Moon replied before promptly spinning around and walking back into the room to continue cleaning "you just regained consciousness for the first time since three years ago, don't you wanna relax or something?" You asked, getting tired just watching the animatronic "I can't relax in this sort of conditions, all I can think about is rats or bugs or spiders crawling all over me....what do you mean, I'll talk however I want about spiders, what are they gonna do? Bite me? I'm made of plastic and metal....an animatronic?...What sort of kid would want anything to do with a giant spider? Most of the kids I know are terrified of spiders, especially the big ones" he rambled, shoving the head back onto a headless staff bot which stood at a table you watched for a while before climbing down from the platform to help Moon clean as he continued to talk with Sun, mostly ignoring you which you didn't mind, he didn't know you so there was nothing to catch up on
After a while Moon had pretty much settled down and was currently sweeping the cobwebs off of the wall since he'd finished organising, you dragged some of the boards and pieces of ceiling out of their actual room, throwing away all of the plaster and insulation and stacking the planks as well as the beam against one of the walls "so if the daycare has been closed for a few days what have you been doing this entire time?" Moon questioned, going silent for a while and simply nodding along as Sun presumably listed off what the two of you had been doing, Moon suddenly halted and looked over his shoulder at you, obviously his face was frozen in a smile but you could somehow read concern from his expression, causing you to pause and look back at him, still holding an armful of plaster chunks "wait wait, they did what now??..." He questioned before He then chuckled and waved a hand dismissively, turning back towards the wall he was sweeping "oh you meant sleep as in actual sleep, that makes more sense, phew, for a second there I thought that damn security guard let you on the internet too.....oh don't worry about it it's really nothing just probably don't go around telling people they've slept with you...you don't have to know what it means trust me, I wish I didn't" he mumbled as you quickly turned your attention back towards what you were doing, feeling your cheeks burn "yeah I can assure you nothing like that has happened nor will it ever" you said before dropping the armful of plaster into a trash bag "I need that broom whenever you get done with it"
