All at once. Just gone like it never happened. My family was running towards me. I tried to explain, but my throat was raw from screaming. I could barely talk. Edward translated for me.
"She says that the pain wasn't hers," he told them. "She thinks it was Jasper."
"We need to get to him," Rose said. "Now."
"Yes, I agree," Carlisle said. Everyone nodded. "Everyone pack your things. Alice, have Josh tell the wolves. Half come with us, the other half stay here to protect Charlie and the girls." Alice nodded and ran out the door. "I'll get the tickets."
Everyone was running around the house, making sure we had everything we would need for a battle. I took the girls home and told Charlie what was happening. It was hard communicating to him as my throat still hurt, but I could talk a little now so he got the general idea. When I got back, Carlisle had everybody in the living room.
"All flights from here to Augusta have long layovers," he said. "We'll get there faster if we drive. It's going to take around 47 hours with no stops."
"There's no other way?" I begged. "We can't run?"
"There's too much at risk," he shook his head. "The chance of someone seeing us is too great. I'm sorry. I should've listened to you and left as soon as we found them."
"It's okay," I assured him. "But we need to get to Jasper. So let's go."
{time skip ~ 2 days}
When we got to Maine, I immediately picked up Bella's scent. I followed it with Emmett, Edward, Rose, and Danny. The others went with Carlisle to his friends house to meet up with our allies who have agreed to fight.
"Kennedy!" I heard from behind me. It was Alice, Josh, Sam, Jake, and some other wolves. I think their names were Embry and Paul. "We want to help."
"Split up," I told them. "Four of us will go to the front door. They'll be the distraction. Ring the doorbell when Carlisle sends Sam to you. The others will go around back."
"I'll go to the front door," Josh offered. "Me, Jake, Embry, and Paul will be new to most of the army. The probably don't know about shapeshifters. It'll give us an advantage."
"That's perfect," I said. "Take Alice, Danny, and Emmett. They'll hide around the corner and come help you when the fight breaks out."
"I'll text Carlisle and tell him the plan," Rose said. "So that he can divide his group properly and send Sam to them."
"That's great Rose," I said. "Now when we split up, do not engage. We're not prepared for a battle yet. We're too outnumbered. We're just trying to get a feel of the exits. Wait for Carlisle and the others to get here."
"Sir yes sir," Josh saluted and walked away with his group.
"Okay let's go," I said.
When we got around the side of the house, we were met with a wooden gate. Edward felt around the lock as quietly as he could.
"There's a padlock," he whispered to us. "It'll make too much noise to break right now. We're going to have to wait for Carlisle to get here."
{time skip ~ 30 minutes}
By the time Carlisle got there, I was so anxious I could barely stand still. Edward almost had to sit on me to stop me from making dumb decisions or too much noise.
"Fucking finally," I whispered harshly when the car pulled up. "What did you stop for McDonald's or something?"
"Shut up," Sam said. "We had to mix our scents. Swapping clothes can be difficult."
"How is that difficult?" I demanded.
"When you hate the opposite person's smell," he hissed. "It's hard to willingly put on their clothes. Forgive me if I struggled fighting all of my instincts."
I rolled my eyes and looked to Carlisle. He was going to be the one to give the signal. Without his word, I could do nothing to save Jasper.
"Go," he demanded. "Sam get to the others now."
All at once, my family started infiltrating the house Victoria was holding my should-be-husband in. There were around twenty or so newborns in the main level of the house. I looked around me to see if my family needed help. When I saw that they were holding up fine without me, I ran to the basement door. I knew Jasper was down there. I could feel the pull.
As I walked down the stairs, I smelled two vampires. I recognized both of them. The first was Victoria. She was the farthest from me. The other was Bella. I swear I'm going to kill her.
"Hello dear," Victoria said when I reached the bottom of the stairs. "I'm glad you've finally decided to join us."
Jasper was locked in a cell, naked, with cracks all over his body. He looked terrified. I narrowed my eyes at Bella and took a menacing step forward. I called for Jake. I couldn't take on a newborn, Victoria, and protect Jasper all at once. Besides, Jasper and Jake are best friends. Jake is almost has protective as I am.
"Jake?" Bella laughed incredulously. "Who's that and what do you think he can do against me?"
I smiled.
"It's not what he can do to you," he said. "It's what he can't do to protect his best friend. He gets you, Victoria." By the end of my sentence I have turned to the redheaded bitch. Neither of them looked convinced.
"How can I help K?" Jake announced his presence. "Which one can I have and how far can I go?"
I could feel his anger boiling beneath the surface. He wanted to appear weaker than the vampires. This gave him an advantage.
"You can have Victoria," I told him. He smiled. "As for how far you can go..." I looked at him and winked. He grinned and narrowed his eyes at Victoria. He looked like more evil version of Joker. Insane. Unhinged. Dangerous.
"And I get Bella," I smiled. "Now!"
At the same time, Jake and I lunged at our intended victims. Neither looked scared. This was good. They doubted us. Their confidence would cause slip ups in their defenses.
Bella swung low, aiming for my knees. She wanted to get me on my back. I stepped back, throwing a right hook while she was crouched down. She landed on her ass. She tried to get up but I kicked her left hip, sending her flying into the wall. She groaned and got up. She ran at me, intending to get her arms around my neck. While her arms were outstretched, I ducked under them, grabbing her right and twisting it. I snapped it off just below the shoulder. She cried out in pain. When she fell to her knees, I kicked her onto her back. I out my left foot on her shoulder and yanked the other arm off. Unable to defend herself any longer, she began to plead.
"Please," she begged. "Please. I didn't mean to. I was angry at Edward. I just wanted to get back at him. I never thought it would go this far. Please! I'm sor-!" I twisted her neck, snapping her head off before she could finish.
"Shut up," I hissed at her dead body.
I ran to the cell and broke the lock. Jake, who had just set the bodies on fire, helped me find Jaspers clothes and get them on him.
"Kenny," Jasper whimpered when he saw me. He had been blindfolded the entire time. Knowing I was there only not being able to see me was hard for him. "Please."
"What baby?" I asked. "Please what?"
"Make it stop hurting," he said, closing his eyes and pushing his face into the crook of my neck. "Everything hurts."
I didn't know what to do. I could only think of one thing. After Bella beat me in the forest, my entire body felt like it was on fire. When I was near Jasper or when he kissed me, the pain went away. It was something about our mate bond they helped us heal each other with our love.
"I'll got get the car started," Jake said. "Do you want Carlisle down here?" I shook my head. "Okay. Well come up when you're ready. I'll tell the others to leave you alone for now."
"Thank you Jake," I said. He nodded and left the room, sprinting up the stairs.
I pulled Jasper to me and wrapped my arms around him. We sank to the floor, all of our limbs entangled with one another. He was sobbing, tears and snot running down my shoulder. I let him cry, let him feel. He needed this. Time away from everyone to just let out his emotions from this experience. He couldn't fully do that here. I waited for him to calm down some before speaking.
"Honey," I whispered. He pulled his head up to look at me, still slightly whimpering. I kissed his forehead. "We have to go." I kissed his left cheek. "I want to take you somewhere." I kissed his other cheek. "Somewhere you can let all of this out." When I finished, I kissed his lips gently. He tried to deepen it, desperate for love after going through so much pain and hatred. I pulled away.
"Please," he pleaded, crying with his forehead against mine. "Please!" He was screaming now. This is what I wanted, I just didn't think he would want to do it here.
"Louder," I told him. He pulled back, confused. "Scream louder."
"Why?"
"It helps to scream after being hurt."
So he screamed. I screamed with him. We both couldn't talk afterwards. Our throats were sore, but we felt better.
"Thank you," he whispered, pecking me softly on the lips. "I love you."
"I love you too."
We walked up the stairs hand in hand. He struggled slightly but not too much. It would be easier to move within a week. He would heal quickly.
When we got outside, everyone was waiting for us. Rose was the first to get to Jaz. She hugged him, crying softly into his shoulder, telling him how much she loves him repeatedly. Next we're Carlisle and Esme. They weren't much different than Rose. The rest were shorter, but still very touching, moments. Jake was almost as intense as Rosalie.
"When we get home," Jasper started. "We're getting married immediately. I know Alice still has everything ready."
We all laughed as Alice hung her head as if embarrassed or ashamed. She had a small smile on her lips.
"Yes," she whispered. "I do."
"Well," Emmett began. "Let's get this show on the road. We got a wedding to get to people."
We all laughed and ran to the cars. Jasper and I got our own. He wanted to talk to me about something.
"While I was here, I started thinking," he told me. "You know, about what I wanted before I was possibly killed. Things I wished I would've said and done. One of those things was have our own kids. And I don't mean just getting pregnant right now. I do want that but I also want to adopt the girls. All of them. Then get pregnant after we're married. I want kids baby."
"I want kids too," I whispered, thankful he wanted the same thing. "I thought about this before too. I just assumed you didn't want to because we already have four."
He was silent for a moment.
"That's the stupidest thing you've ever said," he laughed at me. I laughed with him.
I hope we spend forever being this happy, with our kids and our beautiful farmhouse.

sorry it always takes so long. I'm so stressed with school right now and my chemistry grade is the fucking worst. I cant promise to update anytime soon but I will try I promise.
