"holland?", I spoke speechless after opening the mail that had been placed under our door
"what is it darling?", holland turned to me as I made my way to the kitchen
"I got nominated for an Emmy", I chuckled
"you're joking?"
"no, look", I passed her the letter, waiting as she read
"oh my darling girl!", holland squealed excitedly, picking me up while spinning me in a circle "oh god I just couldn't be prouder of you my angel"
"thank you", I giggled, my head finding comfort on her chest as her arms were around me
"I just know that you're going to win"
"one can hope", I beamed looking up at holland
"one can also be certain darling", holland spoke calmly bringing my lips to reach hers "when is it?"
"three weeks, will you be my date?"
"of course angel", holland smiled, knowing that I wouldn't have thrown a fit if she had hesitated
"did you reschedule the appointment?"
"yes, tomorrow at four"
"thank you honey", I kissed her again "tomorrow could be the day that I get pregnant, I could be pregnant at the Emmys"
"I know you're beyond excited sweetheart, I am too, but it may take a couple tries. I just don't want you getting your hopes up", holland cupped my cheek
"I know I won't. But you have to think happy thoughts honey, thoughts transcend matter"
"okay princess", she giggled, kissing my cheek before going back to making her coffee

"the doctor should be with you in a minute", the nurse smiled leaving me and holland alone
"are you cold princess?, you're swinging your legs"
"a little", I nodded, the light hospital gown making me shiver
"take this honey", holland kissed my forehead while wrapping her cardigan around my shoulders
"thank you"
"Sarah, holland, how are you two today?"
"fine thank you", I greeted
"okay so we have received the sperm and everything is ready for the insemination-"
"what's the likelihood of me getting pregnant?"
"your body works perfectly, and will be more than capable to carry the baby. If you don't get pregnant this time, which could happen, it has nothing to do with you, I promise. We re-tested the sperm and it's strong, I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to fall pregnant Sarah", Erin explained, reassuring me immensely "this is suzan and Jenny, they will assisting me with the insemination", Erin spoke as the two nurses entered the room
"I'll see you soon honey", I looked up kissing hollands cheek
"you can come back in a little while to keep Sarah company, while she rests for a little"
"thank you", holland nodded before leaving
- 3 weeks later -
"where's my Emmy girl?", holland called through our house
"in here", I called back from the restroom, holding the pregnancy test in my hands
I got the confirmation from Erin that I was allowed to take a test and I didn't waist a moment
"hi my ang- what are you holding?", holland asked, coming further in
"a pregnancy test", I sniffled
"what kind of pregnancy test?", she paused, her breath becoming heavier
"a positive pregnancy test", I chewed on my bottom lip
"a positive pregnancy test", she smiled widely
I nodded, beaming through the tears
holland quickly, lifted me, placing me on the sink, kissing me deeply, before hugging me hard
"you're pregnant", she whispered, kissing me again
"uh huh", I giggled holding onto her waist
"I can't believe it", holland spoke placing kisses all over my face "well my little pregnant lady, we are expecting people any minute to get you ready for the Emmys, so why don't we dry those tears"
"can you kiss me again?"
"my pleasure", holland returned to the spot between my legs, kissing me like it would be our last

"ready?", I asked holland as the car pulled up
"always with you", she kissed me quickly before the doors were opened
"don't let go of my hand", I laced our fingers
"I wouldn't dream of it", she winked, both of us making our way out of the car
'Sarah over here. Holland how is it working with Ryan. Sarah, Holland how about a kiss?. Who are you wearing?. Is it true that holland was your teacher?'
the questions and comments went on and on as we slowly made our way through the crowds and carpets, occasionally stopping for photos.
"it is so lovely to talk to you today Sarah", a reporter named Amelia smiled
"the pleasure is mine", I smiled. Holland was out of frame but my out-stretched arm still held her hand
"you've had quite the career rise, how does that feel?"
"insane, I didn't think that I would get here this quickly"
"you seem to Ryans muse"
"meeting him was one of the greatest things to have ever happened to me, so I feel completely blessed"
"and your new relationship has made quite the news event"
"I know", I chuckled
"is it true that holland taylor was your teacher?"
"um yes, but we only got together after I graduated", I lied while squeezing hollands hand
"and now she's a writer on American horror story"
"yes, she's been good friends with Ryan for years"
"what's next for you two?"
"well we just finished the fourth season, then Ryan is taking a year off horror story to work on something different. so that will either give me a year to relax to look into different opportunities"
"and holland?"
"Ryan has brought her onto his next project. She's an incredibly talented writer"

"you're going to win", holland assured me, kissing my cheek
"and the winner for Outstanding supporting actress in a miniseries of a movie goes to.... Ellen Burstyn!"
the whole room erupted in smiles and an applause, including my own
"you should have won", holland whispered
"I know", I spoke simply making holland and myself laugh
"so what happens now?"
"well I guess we go home?"
"no afterparty?"
"I'm not really in the mood, are you?"
"no", she smiled softly "oh honey I'm sorry"
"no no, only happy thoughts my love"

Sarah had been rather silent the whole way home, she seemed really tired, her eyes opening and closing, while her head rested on my shoulder
"lets get you to bed, huh darling?", I kissed the side of her head, my arms around her waist as the elevator took us up
as soon as the doors opened I heard the phone ringing, I went ahead of Sarah to answer
"hello?"
"holland?", Sarahs voice wavered through heavy breaths
I looked over, my heart becoming heavy at the sight of blood running down my Sarahs leg as she held her dress up a little
"I'll have to call you back"
