Early morning
Tired as hell
Still going to school
A lot say it feels like prison
More than school
I don't think that they're wrong
Dress codes
Uniforms
Teachers have different modes
Silently waiting
Constantly debating
No stepping out of line
It'll just waste a lot of time
Students act with no respect
Crossing lines a thousand times
Students are the rowdy prisoners
Teachers being patient
Putting students back in place
Teachers are the security guards
Classrooms need to be clean
No food or drinks
Classrooms are the cells
This prison we go to every day
It's the prison we can't escape

The next poem is based off of what I heard not actual facts

Early morning
We hear the alarm ring
Now it's time for the routine
People say it feels like school
More than prison
But they are wrong
Sure there's still dress codes
Uniforms
But we got security guards
Still silently waiting
And constantly debating
No stepping out of line
It'll add more time
Prisoners with no respect
Crossing several lines
Prisoners are kind of like students
Guards being harsh
Putting people back in place
Unlike teachers who are patient and kind
Jail cells need to be clean
No weapons one sink
Unlike classrooms with a lot of space
I wish I could go back there
Here I will never escape
