Narrator's P.O.V
Immediately thinking that it was Yn, Taehyung quickly sat up and eagerly said;
"Come in!"
But the second the person opened the door and stepped into his room... his heart dropped.
It wasn't Yn... it was Kim Seon-mi.
And just seeing her made his blood boil, as he sat back in his bed and crosses his arms, although his sudden change in demeanor made Seon-mi raise an eyebrow as she walked to him and teasingly said;
"Well hello to you too.. I thought you would've been excited to see me since you wanted me to come in so badly."
"What are you doing here?!"
He asked between clenched teeth as he glared at her while she sat down at the end of his bed;
"I came to see you of course-"
"Great, you saw me.. now you can leave!"
"Taehyung please.. can't we be civil about this and have a normal conversation like two grown adults-"
"How about you just say your peice and go?!"
"Taehyung.."
Seon-mi whispered as she was hurt by Taehyung's harsh words but she nodded as she calmly said;
"Listen.. I want to apologize-"
"Oh so NOW you want to apologize after you made my life a living hell-"
"Taehyung-"
"No and I'm pretty sure I know WHY you're here-"
"And why am I here genius?!"
Seon-mi asked irritated and Taehyung scoffed;
"You're obviously here to talk about the arranged marriage-"
"What.. arranged marriage?"
She asked in pure confusion and Taehyung looked back at her with a cold glare and said;
"Don't play stupid! You know exactly what I'm talking about-"
"No I don't! For fucks sake, we don't talk after 9 years and you're calling me stupid and talking about some arranged marriage that I know absolutley nothing about-"
"Wait.. so you're not here about the arranged marria-"
"For the last time! I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE!"
She says frustratedly and let's out an exasperated sigh, which makes Taehyung glare at her suspiciously as he asks;
"Wait.. if this isn't about the arranged marriage... then why are you here?! As a matter of fact.. how did you even know that I was here in the hospital?!"
"Now are you the stupid one?! I mean, I know WE haven't talked in years but did you seriously forget that our MOTHERS are still friends?!"
At her statement, Taehyung awkwardly looked at his hands as he mumbled;
"I actually did forget.."
His words make Seon-mi scoff in disbelief then she shook her head and continued;
"Anyways... YOUR mother told MY mother about what happened between you too, your mom getting arrested and you in the hospital after a serious attack.. and after A LOT of convincing on my end.. my mother finally let me see you-"
"But how did you know which Hospital-"
"I called all the doctors in the area and I finally got the answer I wanted and the Doctor that works here, Dr. Choi told me that you were here due to an accident caused by your mother."
After her explanation, Taehyung nodded as he slowly started to put the peices together and after a moment, he asked;
"So.. if you're not here about the arranged marriage then why-"
"There is NO arranged marriage Taehyung! You're mother LIED to you."
"Then why are you here?"
He asked and Seon-mi sighed as she looked at him and softly said;
"Taehyung... the real reason I came to see you is because I have something really important that I need to tell you.. so please.. just hear me out?"
He reluctantly gave her a curt nod as he turned away from her and Seon-mi sighed as she softly continued;
"Just listen... I really want to apologize for.. everything I've ever done. I mean it, I'm sorry okay? I'm really sorry, I know it was stupid and absolutely disrespectful of me to take all that money away from you when you needed to take care of Eun-jin.. and I know I've completely lost all your trust and I know my actions completely broke our friendship a-and.."
Suddenly she stopped talking and began crying, and Taehyung tried not to look her with sympathy as she continued to cry and after she calmed down, she quietly got up and said;
"I.. I know you'll probably never ever trust me again but.. I just want you to know that I have and always will consider you to be one of my best friends.. and I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.."
Taehyung nods but remained silent, and Seon-mi took this as a bad sign and quietly got off the bed and started walking towards the door but after thinking about it for a long while, Taehyung finally speaks up;
"I.. I'll never forget what you've done to me and my family and I can't forgive you just yet.. but... I'm willing to start over and become friends again."
"R-Really? You really mean it?"
She asks hopefully as she turns around and starts walking back towards him and Taehyung nods as he looks at her and softly says;
"Of course, I mean it."
"Oh thank you Taehyung!"
She tried going in for a hug but he held his arm out and said;
"I'm sorry.. but I'm not comfortable with people touching me."
Seon-mi immediately pulled back and nodded as she bowed apologetically;
"O-Of course, I understand. Thank you again Taehyung!"
He smiled at her and held out his hand to shake hers and she gives him a confused look as she asks;
"Um.. what's this?"
"Just play along."
He said while smiling and Seon-mi awkwardly nodded as Taehyung softly said;
"Hey, my name is Kim Taehyung. What's your name?"
Immediately realizing what he was doing, Seon-mi smiled as she took his hand in hers and happily said;
"It's nice to meet you Taehyung, my name is Kim Seon-mi."
At her formal greeting, Taehyung smiled as he shook hands with his old friend and said;
"Well Kim Seon-mi, I hope we can become great friends."
