"Hyungie... w-what if hyungie you hate ggukie... will you... will you find another ggukie... another bun bun? will you leave ggukie?" a young 5-year-old boy named jungkook asked his hyung who was standing in front of him,
"no no no matter what happens gguk I will never leave you, hyungie will never find a better bun bun because my bun bun is the best... I can never hate you even if you leave me... ggukie" The other young boy, taehyung said as he cupped the younger cheek and stared into his eyes,
"ggukie will never leave," jungkook said with a smile, "Pwomise?" jungkook asked and pulled out his pinky finger, taehyung smiled and crossed his pinky with jungkooks. They were just looking at each other's eyes when taehyung snapped, The young gguk just stared at him confusingly,
"no- NO I HATE YOU, FUCK YOU JUNGKOOK, I HATE YOU, YOU ARE ANNOYING, YOU RUINED MY LIFE, GET OUT! GET OUT!!"
"h-hyungie what is happening-" jungkook was cut off by the older,
"GET OUT!" he said

A scream escaped from jungkook's mouth as he woke up from that nightmare.
"Jungkook are you okay?" yoongi, his friend asked, "same nightmare? about taehyung again?" yoongi asked and jungkook nodded. It was like a part of the younger's life, waking up from a nightmare of taehyung leaving him, having a panic attack, and leaving for college.
It's been 9 years since everything stopped for both taehyung and jungkook. Jungkook and taehyung were childhood friends, they've been together for so long as friends but for some reason without telling taehyung jungkook disappeared. Now, 9 years later, jungkook and taehyung's paths have met again. Both males me again in college but everything changed. Jungkook was not taehyung's 'bun bun', not even a friend... nothing... just a bad memory.
They met when jungkook was 2 years old and taehyung was 4, and stay friends till jungkook was 13 and taehyung was 15 but after jungkook disappeared they met again but now jungkook is 22 years old and taehyung is 24.
"Jungkook please you have to talk to him," yoongi said as he was getting worried for the younger,
"I tried hyung - I tried but no... he hates me. he does" jungkook said as he felt his chest getting heavy
"So what you have to explain to him what happened"
"he won't listen, he doesn't care, he moved on," jungkook said as he was running out of air.
"Okay okay, shh relax c'mon let's go outside," yoongi said as he helped jungkook stand up and took him to the balcony to give him fresh air. When jungkook finally relaxed, yoongi said "Go take a shower I'll make breakfast" yoongi said but jungkook stopped him,
"hyung go home, I'm fine, it's normal, you have afternoon classes, go rest. I have a full day today. I'll be fine" jungkook said and yoongi nodded.

Jungkook was in the cafeteria he felt sick, he was just watching taehyung from far away. He stood up and asked the cafeteria lady to make him lemonade though he had to wait for it for a while.
Jungkook didn't even notice but taehyung was standing beside him. Taehyung asked the lady for his meal quietly so jungkook doesn't find out he is standing beside him. for the min time, taehyung looked at the younger and saw how weak, how the younger had eye bags, how he looked so pale, and how the younger was even having trouble to keep his eyes open.
"here jungkook" the cafeteria woman gave jungkook his lemonade, jungkook paid, grabbed his drink, and left. Taehyung watched the younger leave with only his drink. He has noticed that the boy barely eats and sleeps. taehyung quickly grabbed his meal and sat down with his group.
"Hey jimin when is yoongi going to be here?" Taehyung asked his best friend jimin who was in a relationship with yoongi,
"any moment he stayed with jungkook last night because jungkook was not feeling so yoongi said with him, I did too but I had to leave since I had essays to write at home," jimin said to taehyung nodded.
A few minutes passed and jimin felt a pat on his shoulder, and a kiss on his cheek,
"hyung~" jimin whined,
"sorry angel," yoongi said and sat down with the boys. They all ate and left taehyung and yoongi alone. This happens once in a while, something yoongi didn't tell jungkook is that talks to taehyung and tell him how he is doing. At first, he said no but taehyung was begging, he couldn't stay away from jungkook at all.
"Hyung what- how is he? h-he looks so weak! does he not eat?" taehyung asked,
"taehyung I told you will not come between you guys and I will only tell you how he is doing but I told you I won't tell you the reason why he is acting like this because it's not my place to," yoongi said and taehyung nodded, "you both- you both are like my little brothers, I love both of you but talk to him, listen to him or else this will go worse than you think"
"hyung... just tell me how he is," taehyung said,
"he... he is not doing well, it's getting worse"
"what hyung tell me what is getting worse?!?!?" taehyung asked but yoongi shook his head,
"Sorry but I cant... I have classes I have to go" yoongi said and left. Taehyung watched him leave as his mind replied jungkook weak, pale face and their childhood memories.

Days passed and jungkook's life got worse. Taehyung couldn't handle it anymore. Yoongi was telling him nothing. Taehyung was going to talk to jungkook today, He does give a fuck how angry he is with the younger he cant watch the love of his life just die like this.
Taehyung was following jungkook until he heard someone call him,
"Taetae," A random boy said as he approached taehyung. Jungkook stopped and turned around to look at the boy who call his taehyung 'taetae' but unfortunately, he didn't know he was,
"bun bun!" taehyung called the unknown boy with a smile. For jungkook, his heart, his soul left his body. He felt like his own weight was so much for him. The word was just spinning for jungkook. Jungkook could hear voices coming from his head
'hyungie will never find a better bun bun because my bun bun is the best.' the little taehyung said,
'my bun bun'
'you're the best bun bun'
'ggukie is my bun bun'
Words like these just kept repeating. Jungkook lost his senses he accidentally dropped his bottle which was made out of glass causing him to get all the attention in the hallway. Taehyung turned around and look at jungkook as he saw some scratches on jungkook's arm.
"sorry" jungkook whispered as he saw the mess he created, he tried his best to hide his tears though taehyung saw them.
"it's okay jungkook" the janitor said,
"jungkook" taehyung called the younger. Jungkook looked at taehyung weakly, and ran away, he hated every bit of what just happened, he hated getting attention from the whole school, he hated seeing taehyung with someone else, he hated someone else using the nickname he gave taehyung, and he hated taehyung calling someone else 'bun bun'.
'I am not his bun bun. He changed. He left his bun bun. He replaced me. I am nothing but a bad memory to him. Tae... my taetae come back p-please' jungkook thought as his tears streamed down his face and he ran away from the reality.
Taehyung followed the younger he was scared that the younger might do something wrong. Jungkook, on the other hand, ran inside the locker room trying to calm himself but it was not easy. The younger was having a panic attack.
He felt like the world is spinning like someone pulled out his heart and stepped on it. His eyes felt like 100kg. He felt like someone is inside his head and is hitting him from the inside. Jungkook started to hit his head on the locker as his legs felt weak and he fell to the ground.
"BUN!" taehyung called the younger as he ran inside the locker room. The elder got scared for jungkook who was resting on one of the lockers and breathing unevenly.
"c-cant bweth-" jungkook mumbled that taehyung heard. He quickly opened his locker got a water bottle out and ran to jungkook. He kneeled in front of him and looked at him in the eye.
"jungkook listen to me bun, angel looks I am here, hyungie is here, right beside you," taehyung said in a comforting way helping jungkook, "come on drink some water," taehyung said and opened the water bottle and helped jungkook drink it. "breathe in, breath out. Just like me" taehyung showed him. Jungkook followed what his hyung was doing until he was able to breathe a little. "good now stands up" taehyung said as he wrapped his hands around jungkook and helped him stand up. After jungkook stood up taehyung took him to the rooftop to help him breathe easily.
Taehyung carefully let jungkook sit on the floor of the rooftop and sat beside him. His hand was still on the younger's waist which help the younger to fall asleep in the elder's arms.

Jungkook woke up in an unknown room and saw taehyung sleeping beside him. The younger jumped in shock causing the elder to wake up. Jungkook's eyes widen when he noticed that taehyung woke up he didn't understand what was happening.
"ugh," Tae Hyung groaned, "jungkook-" taehyung was cut by the younger,
"I am so sorry hyung- taehyung for what happened i- i really and I will never see you again, you don't have to see me-" jungkook was just rumbling rand words to explain his apology,
"bun, bun relax," taehyung said as he cupped the younger face, "it's okay, cant I take care of you?" taehyung asked,
'fuck everything taehyung, you need to know the reason. Except it, you cant live without the younger' an inner voice came from taehyung head.
"jungkook" taehyung called the younger, getting the attention he needs, "tell me what happened, I need to know, why did you leave me? what did I do?" taehyung asked,
"i-" jungkook looked in taehyung's eyes and saw how hurt the elder was,
'tell him. Explain to him. Get your taetae back' jungkook thought.
"hyung... I mean taehyung-" jungkook was cut off by taehyung,
"just call me hyung... please," taehyung said, and jungkook nodded,
"hyung... that day, I was sleeping, it was 3 am and mom woke me up telling me to get ready, I thought we are going for a surprise 2-day vacation because mom was packing my clothes and putting them in my suitcase.
I asked mom if I could say goodbye to you but she said that you must be sleeping that's is why I couldn't say bye. I got in the car but soon fell asleep. The next thing I knew I was in Busan at my grandma's house for more than a week then my dad told me he lost his job. Soon mom and dad both got jobs and got busy, leaving me and grandma alone at home.
Grandma was old so she couldn't take me to Seoul. I begged Mom and dad every day to take me to you but they couldn't.
Hyung I turned 18 and the first thing I did was to go to Seoul alone. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find you. Not in our favorite, not our favorite cafe, I also asked the current people who lived in your house but they said that they didn't know where you lived. I had to go back home but I promised myself that I will study here and find you. But for my luck, you study here too...
Sorry, hyung... I hurt you a lot... guess we both broke our promises" jungkook said,

"what about the boy at school today?"

"but-but... sorry hyung" jungkook said as he realized no matter what he does he still broke the promise,
"bun to be honest... you didn't break the promise... you didn't leave me with your own will. That's all that matters that you still cared" taehyung said,
"friends?" jungkook asked as he pulled his pinky out, "and I will promise that his time, I will use my brain wisely and will not even move away from your site." jungkook said,
"also I promise, I will look all over the world for my only bun bun," taehyung said and crossed his pinky with jungkook's, "friends" taehyung said and hugged the younger.
"also you will never let anyone except me use the nickname taetae," jungkook said and taehyung nodded.

A few months passed and taehyung is going to ask his bun to be his boyfriend, he knows the younger won't say no so he decorated his room only and didn't invite anyone since he knows jungkook will get nervous.
"hyung I am here," jungkook said and hugged his hyung,
"hey bun" taehyung said,
"hyungie... ggukie wants cuddles" jungkook whined,
"you'll get that too first sit down," taehyung said and made the younger sit on his lap. Jungkook's heart still beats fast every time something like this happens. Taehyung securely wrapped his hands around jungkook's waist and jungkook could tell something was different,
"taetae everything okay?" jungkook asked,
"Hmm," taehyung said and reached for a certain box behind his couch pillow, "jeon jungkook will you be the love of my life and my partner and maybe future huswife?" taehyung asked making jungkook laugh,
"hyung your kidding?" jungkook asked as he covers his face with his hands,
"no... I love you... always have been," taehyung said and jungkook smiled,
"yes! yes! yes! a million times," jungkook said and taehyung pecked the younger lips.
That's how they loved, broke, tired, but filled in their empty space.
