We both were in a restaurant. He was sitting across me and it was almost 7.30 pm.
It's been 4 days after that night. The night we had.......Yeah that.
Everything was different after that. I don't know if it was all my imagination but I felt like I want to revolve around him more often. I want to see him often. Sometimes I want to hear his voice so I will call him often for that. But at the same time he was very busy. He and Lulu was trying to track those people who have attended the party that night. Me and Hao Xuan was doing some paperworks during this period. I wanted to go with Zhan ge but Han ge insisted me to do those fucking paperworks. I was a lot irritated with that but I had to do it anyway.
I could sleep with him only once after that night. He wasn't avoiding me but he was just busy. We could see everyday but couldn't hung up with each other or do anything. I was a bit disappointed.
This evening, he called me suddenly and asked me to go for a dinner together. I was so excited and happy but what the fuck is he doing right now? Not only he didn't talk anything but he was a bit mad. I couldn't understand why. I was a bit annoyed when I stared him across the table.
I cleared my throat and suddenly he looked up at me.
"Why are we here?" I asked.
"Why people would usually come to restaurants?"
I sighed in frustration and leaned on that table.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I low-key yelled at him.
I saw him also sighing in frustration when he crossed his arm over his chest.
We stared at each other for a few more minutes.
A notification sound came from his phone but we both ignored it.
"Since you are really annoyed for god knows what the fucking reason is, you should eat alone your dinner and fucking enjoy your own annoying self. I'm off." I stood up from my chair, frustrated and was about to leave.
"Why did you signed that paper?" I heard him ask all of a sudden and I that made me stop. I immediately looked back at him again.
"What the hell are you talking about?" I had to ask because I was so confused.
Zhan ge leaned on top of that table.
"You just let him go." He stated.
It took a few more seconds for me to understand what he was talking about.
Now I got it.
"You are talking about Bob." I said when I sat down in front of him again.
"I'm glad you got it."
"Zhan ge,"
"No more Zhan ge. Tell me why did you do it?"
I sighed when I looked over at him. He was really mad at me.
"Zhan ge, he is not a suspect. Why should we keep him there like that?"
I saw his eyes burning and I was a bit taken aback.
"Why can't we suspect him? Tell me one good fucking reason to not doing it Wang Yibo." He glared at me.
I tried to find one reason but I couldn't.
"Is that because he is a 'friend' of yours or is there any other reason?"
"Zhan ge, why do you hate him so much?"
"I'm not hating anyone Yibo. This is the second time I'm seeing you letting go of people whom we caught."
I frowned at what he just said.
"Zhan ge, Bob is not a thief or something. We didn't caught him we saved him. Why do you wanna make him a suspect so badly?"
"Because I know what duty I'm doing and I'm professional." He said and I couldn't help but chuckle bitterly at him.
"Professional my ass. You are just jealous. Just look at yourself. You are hating him because he tried to hit on me once."
Zhan ge went silent for a bit but he was still in anger.
"Yeah. I'm not denying anything. I might be jealous but that guy now know who we are and he is working in that bar. What about my cover?"
He was right but Bob won't do that. He is a nice guy. But... How can I say that for so sure? I barely know him.
"You think he won't say a word to anyone right ? You trust him that much. Right? Wang Yibo.... Well... That's fucking good." He almost shouted but I gestured him to keep low and he obeyed.
"Zhan ge, we can't keep him like that. You know that. If you really suspect him then let me watch over him."
"No need. I know what to do. You are too sensitive and I can't trust you with Bob."
Well, i can't blame him for saying that.
Suddenly his phone got a notification again and he looked at it.
When I didn't say anything, he looked up at me from his phone. I was staring him.
I saw him heaving a sigh again.
"Well, let's not talk about it right now. Eat something." He said. Finally calming down a bit.
I didn't avert my eyes off him. He looked at me again and stared at me for a few more seconds.
"Are you going to eat it or not?"
"Why would you care if I eat or not."
"Aww now the grumpy cat is sulking." That jerk teased me with his grin and I immediately averted my eyes. I started eating the food and I could feel his smile.
"I'm sorry for ruining the mood. I know you were missing me."
"I didn't." I replied almost immediately.
"Yeah yeah....I know." He didn't believe me.
Again we heard a notification sound from his phone. He picked it up again. I watched him playing with his phone and I was a bit curious to know what are those notifications are.
"You play with your phone a lot these days." I said.
"Why do agent Yibo worry about that?"
I glared at him before biting a mouthful of noodles.
I saw him smirking before place his phone on that table.
"It was the notifications from that app." He said.
"What app?"
"That gay app." He shrugged his shoulders.
My eyes widened.
"Why do you have that app in your phone?" I couldn't help but ask. And I was so loud. I only realised it when Zhan ge gestured me to be quiet. I looked around and apologized to the people who were staring at me in shock.
"Yibo, I had to install it for getting into that party. Didn't i tell you this already?" Zhan ge couldn't hold his smile when he said that.
Yeah. He did tell me that but...
"But why are you still keeping it?"
"Don't be stupid. We can't get rid of it before solving this case." He was a bit annoyed when he said that. Well I can't blame him I was a bit annoying.
There comes another notification and he took his phone again.
I wasn't feeling well when I saw him smiling to his phone.
"You got a lot of fans i guess " I said, bitterly.
"Yes of course."
"Hmmm." I couldn't say anything else because I was really feeling unwell.
When I saw him chuckling looking at his phone I couldn't help but reach out for it. But we was fast and I couldn't grab his phone. He frowned at me.
"What are you doing?"
"Let me see what is in it." I said.
"Why should I let you see my personal chatting?" He asked and there was a smirk on his lips.
"Zhan ge,"
"Yes Bo di,"
"Give me your phone."
"Nope." He smiled again.
We heard more notifications coming. I couldn't help but stood up from my chair and forcefully took his phone from him.
That asshol was laughing while.
I returned to my chair and I opened his phone.
"I am the only one who is jealous right? Now look at you." He laughed again.
I ignored him when I opened that app and I couldn't help but gap at that profile pic of him. Actually it wasn't him. It was my bare belly. I wonder when did he took that picture. I was probably sleeping. And he put my abs in his profile pic?
"See, they are not my fans. They all are your fans." He chuckled.
"Who the hell told you to do this?"
"Isn't it fun?"
"No. Not fun at all. I'm gonna remove it."
"Hey, hey, please don't. We have a case to solve." He immediately jumped from his seat.
I glared him more.
"Sorry" he mouthed with a smile.
I again searched through the chat boxes and most of the texts were pure sex invitations. I found out that Kao didn't respond to anyone.
There was a load of sexy and ugly pics. My face flinched on them.
"You look like you are watching a Zombie movie." He commented and I had to glare at him again.
"Why didn't you respond to any of this chats?" I asked after a few minutes.
He got up from his seat. I watched him. He lean towards me. I didn't move.
"I have got a grumpy cat and his 'things' are more interesting than theirs. That's why I really gets jealous when someone try to steal him from me." He whispered in my ears and he tapped my shoulder with a smirk.
My face burned and I gulped.
"I need to pee. You wait here." He said before he walking towards the wash room.
I couldn't help but take a deep breath.
A few minutes later, I heard some people screaming and I stood up from my seat immediately. Zhan ge didn't came back yet and I got really panic.
I ran towards where the voices came from. I saw people gathered around something and my heart beated fast.
"What is there?" I heard someone asking.
"Someone hit a lady and she is unconscious." I heard someone saying and I rushed towards it.
"MOVE" I pushed away those people and they looked at me frowning.
I was shocked the moment when I got in.
The person who was fainted is none other than Mint. And I see a Zhan ge burning in fury next to her.
"Zhan ge!!" I called in disbelief. He immediately looked at me and the anger from his face washed away.
"Yibo," he was about to walk towards me.
"What have you done?" I asked in shock.
"Yibo no.., " he was about to say something but I raised my hand to stop him.
I immediately sat near Mint and I grabbed her from the ground. Her forehead was bleeding and she was unconscious.
"Yibo listen to me, " I heard him calling me when I took Mint out of that restaurant.
I called a taxi and I got in with her on that backseat.
"Yibo wait, please let me explain." Zhan ge grabbed my arms before I could close the door.
"What is wrong with you huh!"
I was so angry and I pushed him away when I got off that car.
"Yibo!!," he was almost pleading.
"You got jealous with everything and everyone right? You are hating people whoever likes me. You hate bob because he likes me. Now you hurt a girl because of me? Who are you think of yourself. Who are you to me to be jealous? Huh ?"
"Yibo,..... You misunderstood the situation... I didn't do anything." He grabbed my hand tightly.
I stared him. A lot of emotions hit me harder. I wanted to believe him but what I did saw was blocking me from that.
"Please trust me. I can explain." He squeezed my hand.
We both were panting.
"Sir," the taxi driver called me and I snapped out from that daze.
"Let go off me Zhan ge." I tried to pull away my hand.
"You don't trust me even for a small matter like this Yibo? Really?" He asked in disbelief.
I pulled away my hand from his hold.
"This is not a small matter."
"Wow!! So you could trust a cunning blonde guy from a night bar but me!!!!. You could trust and let go of a thief we caught but me. Is that what you are saying Yibo?" Zhan ge asked at I couldn't say anything in return. Those words were a bit painful to hear.
"Let's talk it later." I finally said.
"If you don't trust me when I said I did nothing wrong then this is it. I have nothing to explain to you later. Take care of your little girl." He slammed the car door shut and turned away before he walk out.
I wanted to stop him but I couldn't.
The taxi driver honked the car and I got in the backseat again.
"Please go to any hospital near here" I said to the driver. The car moved.
I looked at Mint's face and I found her flinching her face a little. Slowly she opened her eyes.
"Mint," i called her and she slowly looked at me.
"You alright?" I asked and I saw she looking at me in shock.
"Yibo!!!! YIBO, is that you?" She asked in shock.
"Yeah. Are you alright?"
"Huh!? Yeah. I am." She said when she sat straight on that seat.
I saw her looking beside me and the front seat.
"Where is.... Where is he?" She asked.
"Who?"
"Your boyfriend." I sighed when I heard that.
"What did you do?" I asked her and she frowned at me.
"I did What?"
"I'm sure you have did or say something to him otherwise he wouldn't do anything like that." I was a bit anger at her too.
"He did what?" She said almost in confusion and I was all gaping at her.
"Didn't Zhan ge do anything to you?" I was dumbfounded.
"One of my ex boyfriends Tom was messing with me. Zhan came to defend me. When Tom pushed me away, my head hit on that wall. But I definitely saw Zhan punching him before I loose my consciousness but when i...."
"Stop." I said immediately.
"What?" She frowned at me.
"PLEASE STOP THIS CAR" I yelled at that driver.
He did a sudden break. I didn't wait for a second to get off from it.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"I'm sorry. I have done something really stupid." I said before I run.
I ran through that street and only one thing had in my head...... Zhan ge. I need to see him.
I reached the restaurant and searched him everywhere. But couldn't find him. I grabbed my phone and dialled his number but his phone buzzed in my pocket.
"Fuck!!!" I cursed aloud.
"Are you looking for that guy who was with you?" Suddenly someone asked and I turned to see a waitress.
"Yes. Did you see him?" I asked immediately.
"He just left with someone on a blue car." She said.
I was all confused but I thanked her before I leave.
I took my bike and searched him everywhere i could. He wasn't in his house or the bar. He wasn't even in my home. I searched through the streets too.
I parked my bike on my apartment parking. I sat on it when I called the least person I wanted to call.
"He is not here Yibo." Jingyu said and I sighed through my phone.
"Did you guys fight again?" He asked.
"Yeah. And I searched him everywhere but.."
"Don't worry. He might left to his village or something. Let me make some calls." He said.
"Okay. Thank you." I said before I hung up the call.
"Are you Yibo," I heard a voice behind me and I turned towards a person. Who was in his late twenties.
"Yes. And you are?"
"I'm Dom. Ming's friend. I'm sorry I couldn't meet you guys on that movies. Something came up so I couldn't make it that day. I wanna talk to you about something. Do you have time?"
I stared that person a few more seconds.
"No. But talk."
