"now we want to do a fun little game with the members, we always do this with the groups that come on the show and it's always a lot of fun." The MC smiled wide as the cameras rolled the members of txt sitting next to him excited to play the game.
"now usually how this game works is we ask you each to stand up and say something to make fun of each member, similar to the way a Roast works, it's all in good fun meant to make each other laugh."
The boys nodded in understanding.
"alright, so we'll have the youngest start."
The boys cheered for huening kai as he stood up from his chair and stood in front of them holding the fake microphone.
"aish I'm never mean to my hyungs, so this is gonna be hard." He giggled innocently melting everyone's hearts instantly.
"come on Ning Ning! Roast us! You can do it!" yeonjun encouraged.
"okay uh, yeonjun hyung?"
"yes hyuka?"
"everyone went crazy for your pink hair but in reality you just looked like a girl who got her extensions done by a blind toddler."
Yeonjun laughed followed by the others at ning-ning very juvenile roast making him smile in pride.
"beomgyu-hyung you think you're really funny, but your only material is "NeOmU nAmAn-Ui SpEcIaL" Kai said feeling more confident this time as he mocked beomgyu.
They all laughed as kai continued to make fun of his hyungs earning cheers and praise from them.
Kai eventually got to soobin, the hyung he admired the most. He took a breath and turned to him.
"you know guys I just love the group TXT the four talented boys and that tall one with no lines."
The group laughed loudly clapping to hyukas comment.
Soobin sat there a little uncomfortable with kai's joke. It wasn't a secret that soobin got very little lines and he was sure the boys knew that it affected him a little more than they thought. Still he smiled and laughed encouraging the younger as he sat back down.
All the roasts went okay but soobin didn't really like this game, some of it was funny but he felt like every time his members made fun of him it was a little more personal than the others.
Taehyun was up and he turned to soobin.
"so hyung, is it true that you've been confused with BTOB's Minhyuck before?"
Soobin nodded.
"huh, I don't see it, he's way better looking than you anyone could tell you apart!"
Again everyone laughed.
The last one to go was yeonjun and he stood with a devilish smirk like he had his roast prepared already.
"when I think of choi soobin I think of one word, forgettable! I mean is the guy even in the group?" it was short but definitely got the point across making the group and the MC burst into laughter.
After hearing all the boys roast him soobin was in no mood to continue to game. He felt a little hurt still thinking of the things the boys said about him.
Luckily in his favor, time was up before his turn. The MC closed out the show and said goodbye to the boys who were all in great spirits except for soobin.
They piled into the van and drove back to the dorms not even noticing that soobin was silent the whole ride.
They got home and soobin was the first one in. he kicked off his shoes and rushed down the hall to his room closing the door without a word.
"where did soobin-hyung go?" kai asked from the couch after they all settled in.
"I'm not sure, he seemed kinda quiet maybe he's tired." Yeonjun said as he turned on the TV.
The boys all piled up on the couch and watched TV eating some snacks and relaxing until kai got up to use the bathroom.
He walked down the hall and felt an uneasiness in his stomach, a message in his brain telling him to walk towards soobin's room.
He slowly approached the door and pressed his ear to the smooth wood listening.
He heard muffled sniffling and then a whimper making his eyes go wide.
Was soobin-hyung crying?? He quickly shuffled out of the hall and into the living room evident worry on his face.
"what's wrong ning-ning?" beomgyu asked noticing him in the doorway.
"hyungs, I think something's wrong with soobin-hyung."
"why do you say that hyuka?" yeonjun said pausing the tv and turning to the maknae.
"well, maybe I'm wrong but...it sounds like he's crying."
Instantly yeonjun was on his feet followed by the others.
Yeonjun rushed ahead of kai up to soobin's door hearing the same sound kai heard.
Yeonjun didn't even knock before entering the boys room startling him.
He was curled up in bed a pillow clutched to his chest as tears dripped down his face.
"soobinnie? Hey, love why are you crying?" yeonjun's voice softened and he sat beside soobin on his bed.
Soobin quickly wiped his eyes and avoiding meeting yeonjun's.
"I'm fine hyung, just go."
"no binnie, you're clearly upset about something, tell me what it is."
The rest of the boys stood in the doorway.
"I just...you...you guys really hurt me today..." he mumbled.
"what? Binnie what do you mean?" yeonjun asked gently rubbing soobin's shoulder.
"the things you were saying...they... they really hurt my feelings hyung." He cried still not looking yeonjun in the eyes.
A look of horror flashed on yeonjun's face as he realized what soobin was talking about.
"oh my god binnie, oh we are so sorry...we didn't know our jokes would affect you this much, we were just trying to mess around."
Soobin wiped his face.
"I just...some of your joked were...were really mean hyung...things I'm really insecure about and i...I started to feel like you all really felt that way.."
All the boys instantly rushed in denying soobin's thought.
"no hyung of course we don't think that way! We, we were just kidding hyungie we didn't mean to hurt your feelings." Beomgyu said frantically.
"we are so sorry; we didn't realize how far we were taking our comments...we never meant to hurt you hyung." Kai said sadly feeling guilty.
"binnie, please don't cry...we promise you that nothing we said is true, none of us feel that way I promise." Yeonjun cooed softly.
"really?"
"of course hyung! We would never hurt you on purpose like that, we didn't realize how mean we were being, we are so sorry hyung." Taehyun chimed in.
"so you don't think I'm forgettable?"
"no soobin. Never ever. You are our leader bin; how could anyone ever forget you?"
Soobin sniffled his tears stopping.
"I'm sorry I overreacted.."
"no hyung, we went way too far, you have nothing to apologize for!" kai said loudly.
"come here binnie." Yeonjun said before taking soobin into his arms being joined by the others in a group hug.
"we are so sorry binnie, we will never say things like that ever again we promise."
Soobin smiled softly letting his members hug him tightly.
"it's okay guys, I forgive you."
They all smiled before breaking apart.
"let's get some dinner, anything you want bin."
Soobin smiled as they left his room to go order dinner.
