henry turned around upon hearing kyle two's footsteps.
"kyle two? wh-what happened to you?" he asked timidly, backing up as he sighted the blood.
kyle seemed to perk up, staring at kyle two. he looked slightly shocked.
"don't play dumb, henry. i know you two were about to kill kyle."
henry's eyes widened in surprise as he backed up farther.
"no, you've got it all wrong. we weren't trying to kill him-"
"that's fucking it," kyle snarled, making henry flinch.
"IT WASN'T LIKE THAT!" henry shouted, now fearing for his life.
"then what was it?" kyle two asked coldly, giving nothing away.
"austin just wanted to leave! that's all. he was going to see if he could transfer bodies. the electric power from the wii would've been enough for him to try and possess kyle," henry sheepishly explained.
kyle was shaking with rage. he grabbed the wii remote and quickly deleted henry.
"go get him," he said to kyle two.
kyle two had a small grin on its face. which was a lot, since the mii usually defaulted to this blank smile.
"AUSTIN!?"
kyle heard henry scream out from the hospital hallway. kyle two turned its head towards the noise and then disappeared.
something creaked behind kyle. he turned around and saw sam drowsily sitting up from the bed. she looked at the bright tv and shielded her eyes.
the mii channel almost went pitch black. henry must've saw something.
sam glared at kyle.
"do you have any idea what time it is?" she angrily asked him.
"uh, i don't know. maybe like, 3 in the morning?"
sam blinked a few times before sighing.
"i don't know what time it is. but i do know it's really late. why are you messing around with the wii while i'm asleep? you better not have deleted henry or i swear to god-"
"i didn't, okay? shit is going down right now. something happened to austin, he also tried to take my body, kyle two is finally helping me, and i think henry might be about to die."
"what!?" sam shrieked, almost jumping off the bed. she yanked the wii remote out of kyle's hands.
"why does this only happen while i'm asleep?" she hissed to herself.
meanwhile, kyle two and henry were both staring at each other. henry was gripping his axe once again. the mii calmly opened up the control panel and moved the camera into the hallway, which gave sam and kyle full view of the event.
sam looked at the tv and gasped audibly. kyle took in the scene, remaining silent.
as kyle two was shutting the control panel, henry charged at it with his axe. he swung it horizontally at kyle two's chest, which knocked the mii back. it clutched at its sweater, which had started staining itself red.
"YOU KILLED HIM," henry roared at kyle two.
the facade was up. kyle two was very scared. it used its only weapon on austin, who was dead. at least kyle two thought he was.
the mii coughed violently, and red stains formed on the ground and seeped out of its mouth.
it looked towards kyle and sam.
"help me..." said a faint whisper.
kyle two looked back at henry and clutched the control panel. upon locking eyes with him kyle two felt extremely dizzy.
"shit."
henry watched the signature signs of kyle two's vertigo set in. he couldn't help but smirk.
this was too easy.
"for someone who carries themself as so dangerous, you sure are easy to kill."
sam and kyle both watched in silence.
kyle two tried to scramble away, but its vision was too blurry for it to go anywhere.
"funny how the power dynamics change here, huh?" henry hummed, flinging the axe at kyle two's feet.
it landed heavily and made the mii flinch. kyle two managed to get up from the ground, and stumbled up. it didn't look back as it began a clumsy escape.
the farther kyle two got from henry, the more the dizziness wore off. the mii was almost far enough away, until henry threw his axe at kyle two's ankles, slicing part of them open.
it screamed in pain and its body slammed down on the ground. kyle two hurriedly pulled out the control panel as a last ditch effort to make it out alive. it navigated to the warp tab before henry got to it, and pressed the mii channel button.
henry already had realized what was happening, and tried to jump on kyle two before it could warp away. he only found himself landing on the hard ground. the camera's view moved from the hospital bed to a dark place where kyle two was sitting.
"sorry guys. i was only helping."
kyle and sam both had no words. they looked at each other, both thinking the same thing.
"kyle two's not the only one who can fuck around with the camera," henry hissed, the view suddenly changing.
austin's body was clearly in view. blood covered the room, and a wii remote that was coated in blood was off to the side.
sam looked away from the scene while kyle eyed austin's body.
"he's really dead?" he asked.
henry walked towards austin, freeing him from the electric chair. he fell forward and onto the ground.
"what do you think?" henry coldly responded.
"i. i don't know. but i don't think he would die that easily."
"really? he wouldn't die because he didn't fucking want to? if that was the case, he would've survived the first time."
"i can't do this anymore. i'm fucking done with this," sam unexpectedly said.
"what?" henry asked.
"this is all too much. austin's dead, and apparently tried to possess kyle. kyle two killed him and is in hiding. i don't know what's happening with you. how is anyone supposed to take this?"
"yeah, but imagining it happening to you," henry sighed, picking up austin's body.
once austin was in an upright position, blood poured out of his mouth and splattered on the ground.
sam leaned forward and covered her mouth, feeling sick. even though it was just blurry red stains, she knew what it really was supposed to be.
nothing that had happened had really registered with kyle. his own uncle, finally murdered by someone who he considered as close as a brother. kyle turned away from the screen. he looked over at sam.
"sam, i'm sorry. i shouldn't have come here. everything-"
sam wrapped her arms around kyle's torso and pulled him towards herself. sam's head rested on the hood of kyle's sweatshirt. the two sank into an exhausted hug without any words.
kyle gently separated from sam and turned towards the screen again. henry was gone. he turned off the wii and took out the sd card.
"don't leave, please," sam said softly.
"mmh, yeah," kyle responded.
he put the sd card once more in his phone case and sat back down next to sam.
"we both need a break. let's not worry about this for now, alright?"
sam simply nodded and sighed.
kyle leaned against her for once.
"no more fighting. we're all too similar. all we need to do is free them. then it's over."
"if only it was that easy," sam said with a hollow laugh.
