It was Monday morning and time for the girls to go to school. It's their last year of high school and they've been pretty exhausted. At least Mimosa, who had to take the responsibility as the class president, was exhausted. Noelle, on the other hand, was pretty popular in school hence had a lot of friends. She is an average student when it comes to her studies and more of a social butterfly. Mimosa is more of the smarter ones; she keeps her profile low-key and doesn't have many friends.

Mimosa and Noelle were all dressed up for school, Acier prepared breakfast for them which they ate. They remembered to thank her for it afterward.
"Goodbye girls. Drive safely." Acier stood by the front door of the mansion as she bid the girls goodbye. Noelle and Mimosa bid Acier goodbye as they walked to Noelle's car.
It was a pink Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Noelle's father both it for her on her 16th birthday. Though her mom and dad are divorced, she still has a close relationship with both her parents.
Mimosa stood beside the passenger seat, outside of the car, waiting for Noelle to open the door, but there was no sign of Noelle ahead. She turned back and saw Noelle looking at her.
"Hey Noelle, open the door, or else we'll be late for school," Mimosa said.
"Oh, I will, but I'm not driving us to school. You are." Mimosa immediately rolled her eyes at Noelle's statement.
"Come on Noelle, stop joking around and get the door open. If you don't want to drive, we'll just tell the driver to take us to school." Mimosa immediately said with an almost serious tone. She needs to go to school early to start her duties as the class president.
"No, the drivers were busy yesterday, and I'm sure they will be resting by now. I want you to drive me to scho--"
"Come on, Noelle, just call the damn driver." Mimosa interrupted.
"Not happening. You slept in my house, ate my mom's food, and called my boyfriend a cheater yesterday, so you deserve to drive me to school at the least." Noelle said with her hands crossed not looking at Mimosa's face.
Mimosa burst out laughing. "Are you still pissed that I called your boyfriend a cheater or is it because it's the truth?"
"That's it! Take this key right out of my hand and drive me to school or find another way to get to school!" Noelle had a serious face which almost made Mimosa laugh. She knows Noelle so much that she almost forgot how much of a brat Noelle was but that's what she loved about her. How she gets mad over little things. Mimosa smiled and walked up to Noelle, grabbed the key, and said "I'll do it just because you can't live without me." And with that, she opened the car and got in.
"You know me so well." Noelle said and got into the car.
The car ride was filled with Noelle singing along to Justin Bieber's "Peaches". Mimosa drove them both safely to school. As they arrived and exited the car, Noelle was immediately greeted by her besties, Charmy and Grey.
Though Mimosa and Noelle are best friends, in school they have their own separate lives, but they still make time for each other. Noelle is the kind of student who people want to be like, while Mimosa is the kind of student who parents want their child to be like.
Noelle and her friends were chatting about everything they did during the weekend as Mimosa got out of the car. She walked up towards Noelle from the other side and heard giggles and chats coming from Noelle and her fake friends. Oh, how she wished she could slap the shit out of them or convince Noelle to leave them, but Noelle wouldn't listen to her no matter how much she tries. She tapped Noelle on the shoulder,
"Noelle, here's your key. My mom said she will pick me up from school so I guess I'll see you tomorrow...?"
Noelle took the key from Mimosa. "Sure. See you later," Noelle said with a smirk. Mimosa gave Grey one last glare before she left.
Leaving the school's parking lot, she met with the view of the school buildings.
Mimosa and Noelle go to Clover Elite High. As the name states, the school was made for the elite: children of rich bankers and doctors, future CEOs of big companies, and popular celebrities/influencers. This school was made by the Kira family and is said to be passed down from one generation to the next. Mimosa was walking to the front building until someone walked up from behind her and put their hands over her eyes. "Guess who!" the person said with a bubbly voice.
Mimosa rolled her eyes "Come on, Letoile, you think I wouldn't recognize your voice?" Letoile removed her hands from Mimosa's eyes with a giggle. Mimosa doesn't really have friends apart from Letoile, who is the assistant class president. They became close over an event preparation meeting, and since then, they've become inseparable.
"It never gets old." Letoile said with a smile. Letoile is also a smart student but more of a nerd. She and Mimosa met a year ago, and at the time, Letoile didn't really have many friends and wasn't confident in her looks.
Until she met Mimosa, of course, who boosted her confidence and gave her a whole makeover. To Letoile, Mimosa is like an angel who saved her at her dying moment, and she owes Mimosa big time. Before they met, Letoile has always admired Mimosa: beautiful, smart, and very kind to others, and always representing the school in competitions and events. She would date Mimosa if she was a boy but unfortunately, she doesn't deserve Mimosa. She was like this shining ray of sunshine that kept pulling people to her.
"Letoile, did you do your English assignment?" Mimosa asked as they began to walk to the front building.
"Yes, I did. Also, did you hear what happened to our event advisor?" Letoile asked Mimosa.
"No... What happened?" Mimosa asked with a concerning look.
"Principal Augustus fired him just because he told him that he didn't find his dog cute."
"Really?"
"Yes. All he did was say 'Not really' when the principal asked if his bulldog was cute."
Mimosa busted out in laughter. "Who goes around asking people if their bulldog is cute?"
Mimosa and Letoile couldn't walk straight because of their laughter.
"Wait-- that means we don't have any event meetings today?" Mimosa asked as she got back her steps.
"I guess so." Letoile replied.
"What a shame... Mr. Poizot was one of the best event planners we had." Mimosa said with a pout.
"I wouldn't say that." Letoile moved closer to Mimosa's ears as she whispered, "Rumor has it that he only uses half the money the school gives him for school events, the rest, he uses it to gamble." Letoile said with a dramatic serious face.
"Oh my gosh! How did you hear about that?" Mimosa gasped.
"Don't know, I just heard some juniors talking about it in the girls' bathrooms last week. That explains why he bought cheap products for our events." Letoile said.
"Aww, that's sad. I actually thought he was really nice." Mimosa said.
"Just get over it. A new event planner will be hired by next week." Letoile said.
Mimosa and Letoile finally got to their lockers after passing many juniors and classmates who greeted them. There were even some who offered Mimosa gifts for the good deeds she has done for them and mostly for who she is. She kindly accepted them. In Clover Elite School, popularity really matters. People tend to praise and acknowledge people that are either super-rich with influential parents or incredibly good-looking or smart students. Luckily for Mimosa, she has both. But even with that, she doesn't top the CESRL, the Clover Elite Student Rank List. Since Clover Elite is a school for the top influential teens in the country, it is no surprise that a list like that exists on the Clover Elite website. This list is taken seriously by most of the students. Every year, students try to make it to the top 15 at least, as the top 14 and above are always occupied by a specific group of people. The top students are usually very lucky and inclined to receive brand deals from big companies like Dove and even Gucci.
Because of how influential the top students are to the rest of the students, most people would like to wear what they wear and use products they used too. There's one for males and females. Every day there are polls put up on the website for students and outsiders to vote, to show how much of a big deal it is. The list is influenced by how known and talked about you are.
Noelle is currently on top 1 on the female list and also overall (Both male and female) on CESRL. She has been there for 5 consecutive years for obvious reasons. Grey is top 2, and then Charmy is top 4. Grey and Charmy got to the top because of their own personal influences, but stayed on the top cause they are both close friends of Noelle. Their parents are businessmen and women who are famous in the furniture industry.
Top 3 is Sol, the daughter of a rich skincare CEO. She is mostly supported by the black and LGBT community because she is involved in both. She is loved for her brave and fearless nature. She received recognition last year when she knocked a teacher out for trying to hit on her. After that, the teacher was taken to the hospital and suffered from a broken nose. He got fired the next day and the news about him and Sol spread like wildfire. That year, Sol reached the peak of her popularity and was able to stay in the top 2 for the rest of that year after coming out bisexual.
Kahono currently ranks in the top 5. She is the youngest member of a popular girl group. Her father owns the company that her group is under which leads people to say that she is only successful because of her father but anyone close to her knows that she is hella talented. Top 6 is Mimosa, she is known for her friendly and kind nature. Being the best student and of course, is also the daughter of the famous actress, Ashley. But Mimosa doesn't really care about rankings and prefers keeping her status low-key.
Unlike the others above, she doesn't really have a rich boyfriend or social media account with many followers. She is obviously popular but prefers to focus on her studies. Letoile should be around the top 22 of the list. Most of the fame she got from being around Mimosa.
The male list starts with Kiato as the top 1. He is also a member of a boy group just like his sister, Kahono. They are both incredibly talented but the only problem with Kiato is that he is a major f*ck-boy. He whores around any chance he gets despite being Noelle's boyfriend.
Mimosa and Letoile finally got to their lockers and luckily, their lockers were next to each other. Mimosa put all her gifts in the locker.
"I'm just glad we both have English class at the same time. Mr. Vengeance's class is always boring." Mimosa said as they took all the books they needed and started walking to class.
"At least he is fine as hell so he gets a pass." Letoile said as they both busted out in laughter.
Mimosa and Letoile were about to enter the class but Mimosa mistakenly bumped into someone. The impact made her fall on the floor and it seemed like the person she bumped into also fell. She was so busy talking with Letoile that she wasn't looking at where she was going. Mimosa and her books were all over the floor. Letoile immediately rushed to Mimosa.
"Mimosa! Are you okay?!" Letoile asked as she helped her up.
It seemed like whoever she hit must have a really hard chest. She stood up rubbing her forehead and whining in pain. When she finally looked up at the person she mistakenly hit, she was cut off guard by the cold expressionless stare he gave off. His unfathomable, golden-brown eyes contrasted exceptionally with his light-toned face. He had unique, black silky hair that fits well with his skin tone. Anyone who looks at him would know he is exceptionally handsome.
"Yuno, Come on! You'll be late for soccer practice." A voice coming from a boy with blue hair and glasses from behind her brought back Mimosa's attention. She didn't even realize she was staring at him for a long time. Yuno. Now she remembers. Yuno Grinberryall, top 2 on the male CESRL. He is the captain of the soccer team and is known for his looks. He's the student with the third most amount of followers on Instagram and also very brilliant. He always ranks second in class right after Mimosa.
He doesn't seem to be interested in fame, if anything he hates it. Being a child of a rich family and having people follow just because he's handsome or rich. They are all clout-chasers. The people he hates the most are the rich ones who feel like they are better than everyone and perfect. Just like Mimosa. He thought.
"Hey." Yuno said with an annoyed tone. Mimosa looked up. He was so close to her that she could smell his cologne. "Watch where you're going."
"O-oh... S-sorry!" Mimosa hesitated nervously. What's gotten into me?
"That's the thing about you entitled people. Popularity makes you lose awareness of what's around you." He replied rudely and then walked off, heading in the direction where the glasses kid called out to him. Mimosa watched as she felt an ounce of regret. Did I really make him that mad?
