'Min-ah! Yunho's here!'
Glancing up from the bathroom sink, Mingi spat out the toothpaste foam from his mouth and rinsed the soap clean away. 'Coming~'
Ruffling his hair, he couldn't help but feel a little jittery. Walking down the hall, he felt like a teenager again, excited to meet his crush...
And when he looked up to see Yunho in the doorway, jean-clad with that beautifully fitting grey sweater pulled across his chest, his butterflies doubled. He looked so incredibly homely, and dear god, it made his heart flutter...
'Morning~' Mingi said gently, smiling as he waved a little. Walking up to him, he reached out and gently slipped his fingertips down the inside of his wrist, listening to the soft exhale of breath the brunette let out.
'Morning...' Yunho whispered, staring down fondly at their hands gently laced together... His expression was so incredibly soft, and his lip caught ever so slightly under one tooth as he became lost in their touch...
'Well I suddenly feel incredibly out of place,' announced San, clearing his throat from behind them.
Mingi almost choked, not even having seen him through his distraction. 'You really have a habit of just being around, don't you?'
'Funny that, what with me living here and all,' he said, no doubt rolling his eyes as he made his escape.
Feeling his cheeks blushing, as he glanced up at Yunho, he saw the soft fondness filling his eyes as they fixed on him. Standing alone with their hands gently laced together, it felt surreal. The sweetness in the air between them was starting to feel like a constant, and the fact that nothing had changed overnight...
It was beautiful...
'Well that was awkward...' Mingi whispered shyly.
And he melted as he saw Yunho's lips pull up in the corner. 'I think I'm getting used to it...'
Giggling, he reached his free hand up to cover his blushing cheeks with his sweater-covered hand. He blinked down, glancing at their hands, before he felt his heart thud in his chest as Yunho stepped forward and hugged him, taking a deep breath and resting his chin on his shoulder. Those strong arms closed around his back, holding him warmly, and the potent scent of his aftershave overtook his senses...
He was left almost stunned. Yunho was becoming so brave, so quickly... He was acting out - probably mostly by impulse, but even so, every time Yunho stole away a kiss or gently caressed his skin, it made his heart melt just that little bit more. It was almost like he didn't care about anything else other than spending little moments with him, ignorant of what was going on around them...
'Min? You alright?'
Snapping from his thoughts, he blinked a few times, clearing his vision to see Yunho had leant back a little, looking into his face...
And those lips pulled into a small, amused smile. 'Did you just zone out?' he asked, smirking.
He blinked innocently up at him, timidly nibbling on his lip.
Yunho suddenly exhaled in amusement. 'You did,' he breathed, smiling. 'You can't laugh at me now.'
His eyes flew open widely. 'When do I laugh at you?!' he gasped, reaching his hands up between them and letting his palms rest on his chest.
'When I zone out, your eyes twinkle and you giggle at me,' Yunho said, though his voice was so fond that he sounded happy.
And so after a few moments melting under that smile, Mingi's lips pulled up slightly. 'I guess we're equal now?'
'Not nearly,' he replied, taking a deep breath and rubbing his back gently for a moment, before standing back. 'I have far more tallys than you do,' he said, smiling.
And how was he not supposed to melt under his playful words?
Blushing, he took the brunette by the wrist and led him into the kitchen, sitting him down at the breakfast bar.
'Okay, so I did some experimenting this morning,' he said, standing in front of him as the brunette stared up at him curiously.
'What do you mean?' Yunho asked, glancing around a little before his eyes fell back upon his.
He smiled. 'Close your eyes,' he said gently, greatly amused by the confused look he was given, before those dark lashes closed, leaving his irises to disappear behind his eyelids...
'Don't open until I tell you to,' he said, walking to the fridge and pulling out a small plate. Bringing it back to him, he gently placed it down on the countertop with a tap and spun Yunho's seat around until he was facing it.
'Jesus-' Yunho swore, surprised by the sudden motion. He leant into Mingi's side as he momentarily spooked, and the contact was welcomed. 'Can I open now?'
Putting a hand on his back, Mingi nodded, before he realised his eyes were closed, and he couldn't see... 'Mhm~.'
Two moments passed before Yunho suddenly laughed. 'Did you make these?'
'I tried,' he laughed, staring at the sad creation before them.
All morning, he had been attempting to make little shapes out of melted chocolate just for the sake of it, but to say it had been a fail, would have been a grand understatement.
'Min... I know I should say they're beautiful, but...'
Mingi laughed as Yunho gave him a half grimaced look, glancing between the plate and him. 'It's an eyesore, I know.'
'What was this supposed to be?'
'Well that one was supposed to be a star, and this one was supposed to be a tree...'
Yunho reached out and turned the plate a little, rotating it a little, before he nodded, leaning back just that little but until his arm brushed against his side. 'You meant a tumbleweed and a sun, right?'
Mingi laughed, gently smacking his shoulder as his cheeks blushed. 'Oh shush.' Reaching out, he picked the corner of a chocolate until it popped up off of the cold plate, and picking it up, he spun Yunho to face him and held it up to his lips. 'Star or tumbleweed, they taste the same,' he said, watching contently as Yunho smirked, before giving in and catching the chocolate between his teeth.
The brunette laughed airily as he tipped his head back and let the chocolate fall back into his mouth - something Mingi found himself staring at.
'The tumbleweed tastes perfect~' Yunho teased.
And it made him giggle.
Watching Yunho push up his sleeves to his elbows, he felt himself smiling as he watched him pluck the last remaining eyesore from the plate and spin back to him.
His butterflies exploded as Yunho suddenly shuffled towards him to the edge of the stool, reaching out and taking his waist in one hand to draw him closer. His body was suddenly very close to his, and looking down, Mingi was suddenly opening his mouth by reflex as he came face to face with his chocolate.
'Aahhh,' Yunho encouraged, and as Mingi rested his hands on his sturdy chest, he could barely believe the soft 'ahh...' he let out.
Yunho popped the sweet in his mouth and chocolate instantly melted over his tongue. It was sweet, but it wasn't nearly as sweet as the feeling of Yunho brushing his thumbs against either side of his waist... It was the kind of feeling that stirred his skin to prickle and made his heart flutter lightly in his chest... It was the kind of feeling that made him feel adored...
And it was the kind of feeling that had him suddenly loosing himself in those eyes...
'My god... Are you zoning out again?' Yunho asked, lips smirking up a little in the corner.
He giggled, nibbling on his lip as he swallowed his chocolate. 'No, I am not. I am very much present.'
'And yet your eyes just seemed a million miles away,' he said softly, amused as he gazed up at him.
Sighing fondly, Mingi reached up and brushed his cheek, giving in and surrendering to the fact that he was destined to feel more intensely moved by the small things Yunho did today, than other days. 'I happen to know that look well,' he said softly, brushing the pad of his thumb over his bottom lip. 'I've seen it once or twice~' he teased.
And it made Yunho suddenly chuckle, his gaze faltering. 'What would you like to do today?' he asked, sliding his hands around the back of his waist, until they connected behind him.
It made Mingi have to suddenly rest his arms up over his shoulders with the sudden proximity - not that he was complaining, at all. 'I still think we should go show you the fish.'
'The aquarium?' Yunho asked, looking up at him as he gently spun a little back and forth, rocking their bodies together softly.
'Mmm. Have you ever seen a turtle?'
He watched fondly as Yunho shook his head. 'Only in books and documentaries.'
'What about Penguins?'
Yunho suddenly laughed. 'Now you're just teasing me. We don't have penguins here.'
His defensive voice had him giggling. 'I'm not teasing you!~' he gasped, but even he had to admit that it sounded like he was definitely doing exactly that.
'I thought penguins needed snow.'
The look on his face was priceless, and it made him coo. 'Oh Yun~. You really have been sheltered.'
Yunho faked a glare, seeming falsely unimpressed. 'Well sue me for not knowing about foreign flora and fauna.'
Giggling, he twirled his fingers around a lock of his hair, cradling his head loosely in his forearms. 'Just for the record, not all penguins need snow. But the Underwater World thing here has an ice habitat for penguins that do like the cold. They're so cute and inquisitive... I remember my mom took me when I was really little, and I got all mad and chucked a tantrum because I thought they had stolen them from the wild and put them in that enclosure.'
He heard Yunho exhale half in surprise, and half in amusement as he looked up at him. 'You did?'
He blushed heavily, embarrassed by the old memory. 'Mmm... It turns out they're all rescue animals that wouldn't have survived out in the wild... But I still remember how badly I made a scene...' He giggled a little at the image of his mother trying to get him to stop screaming to let the animals go. He even remembered one of the staff explaining to him how they had come to be included in their aquarium...
'Yun-ah. Did you know that they help breed rare breeds of sea life and help them recover from the brink of extinction?' He felt awed by the thought of it...
But Yunho suddenly took a deep breath, hugging him tightly for a long moment, before relaxing again. 'No I didn't, but I'm not surprised that you do.'
'Hmm?'
'You're so curious of the world,' he said simply.
And he giggled, rolling his eyes. 'I am not.'
'You are so! You adore this stuff.'
Giggling, he felt his cheeks burn as he looked away to try and hide his blush. 'You just love teasing me, don't you?'
Yunho suddenly pulled his circled arms around him closer and stood up, letting their chests press together as he murmured against his lips. 'I like seeing you laugh,' he whispered.
And it gave him butterflies. 'I like seeing you, full stop,' he whispered, feeling incredibly embarrassed...
But Yunho didn't seem to care, pressing a kiss into his lips anyway.
'I like seeing you too. Just you. Full stop.'
