𝕻𝖍𝖔𝖊𝖓𝖎𝖝 𝖜𝖔𝖐𝖊 𝖚𝖕 to someone gently caressing her bare back. She hummed in contentment, nuzzling her head into Edmund's neck. The cold November air seeping through the room, but Edmund's natural body heat keeping her cozy. Someday's the heat radiated off him like a heater and Phoenix found herself subconsciously scooting closer to him.

Her foggy brain insisting that she try and get as close as humanely possible to him. If she were fully awake she would have ignored this request and moved farther away from him. Which would result in her heart clenching and the butterflies in her stomach to subside. She hated the way her heart would race around him. She hated how he could destroy her in every way possible and she would be the one to say sorry as if she committed the wrong doing.

She was meek and unable to protect herself from him, Edmund made her vulnerable and she despised him for it. How could one person have so much control over her? It was sickening. Phoenix didn't understand what the feeling was, she was never good with her emotions, let along understanding them to the fullest.

All she knew was when she hated feeling so vulnerable. Phoenix always had the upper hand in situations that involved feelings because she only really expressed a few, but now the girl was completely lost.

So she would have to do the thing she dreaded the most. 1, get up and 2, seek advice.

A groan rumbled in her throat, the sun flashing in her eyes, immediately becoming her enemy. She felt Edmund's chest bounce as he chuckled at her actions. "Morning, darling." his morning voice sounding like music to her ears. She threw him a sleepy scowl at the usage of the nickname. Edmund insisted on calling her darling even after her long speel on how much she hated it -he had listened to nothing she said-.

"How many times have I told you not to call me that?" She asked sitting up and grabbing her robe hanging next to the night stand.

"Far too many times," He replied softly, sitting up in the bed. The soft sheet tumbling down his form, revealing his abs. Phoenix's eyes lingered for a second before she tore her eyes away form the beautiful sight.

Phoenix turned her back to him, approaching the vanity to find her brush. She never woke up with picture perfect hair like her younger sister could. She was envious over anyone who could wake up with their hair perfect. She pulled the drawer open and saw her brush. She went to grab it when the draw was slammed shut.

Edmund wrapped his arms around her waist, Phoenix watching his movements through the large white oval mirror. His hands slipping to the ties on her robe. She closed her eyes, leaning back into his chest. As his hand traveled to her bare skin she remembered she had many things to attend to.

"Edmund," She whispered. He acknowledged her by attaching his lips to her neck. She watched him with wide eyes through the large vanity mirror. His eyes snapped up to her as he kissed and sucked on her neck.

"Edmund." She spoke with more force. He reluctantly ripped his lips away from her neck, but kept his hands on her bare waist. "We can later, not right now." She removed his arms from her waist and turned around to face him. "I know we both have things we have to attend to. With the ball now I have to help Susan plan it and you need to focus on your troops today."

Edmund flashed her the most lustful look she had ever witnessed in her 17 years alive. She looked down trying to slow her increasing heart rate. She was surprised Edmund couldn't hear her heart pounding. He lifted her chin up, forcing her to gaze back into his eyes. "About that, I had a talk with my siblings and now you get to help me train the troops, seeing as you did such a good job with Lucy."

Phoenix saw right through him, "Are you using flattery to try and get laid?"

Edmund smirked, "Is it working?"

Her gaze flickered from his eyes to his lips, "Yes."

Phoebe sat in the town square with sorrow. She watched with envy as the townspeople walked with their friends, family, and lovers. Truth be told Phoebe always wished for an epic love. As a child she would read stories about two people that found each other and lived an epic love. That's all she ever dreamed about, no matter how many times Arcturus told her it was unrealistic, she never listened. Then he would remind her she was only fourteen and if she were destined to meet someone he doesn't think it would happen anytime soon.

That's where he was wrong, but neither of them knew that.

Phoebe sighed and brushed off her dress as she had been resting by the fountain in the center of the town. The citizens of her country were very used to the idea of the royals visiting. The Zyanya's were very keen to the idea of frequent visits to their citizens. Happy townspeople equals less rebellion and better rule. A kingdom is no kingdom if they do not include their citizens wants and needs.

She gently shut one of Phoenix's old books and stood up. The sparkles reflecting from the marble fountain to her dress, making it somewhat glow. The morning wind tossing her thin hair into the cool air.

Since her sister left, everyday was the same. Dull and lifeless.

Phoebe loved Arcturus to death but the boy could be quite boring. She was clueless on how Peter found him so thrilling and interesting, all he ever wanted to do was paint. On the other hand, he was always the best at listening and giving advice.

With much care, the book was placed into the basket she carried with her. Her Mother had given her the task of collecting a few items at the market. She hadn't seen much of her Mother recently and she grew concerned. Anytime Bellatrix was questioned on the matter she changed the subject or shut down the topic all together. Phoebe had no energy to search for answers, she had no motivation fro anything, besides reading.

The sounds of shouting snapped her out of her daze, "Get back here boy!" The baker sprinted out of his shop a rolling pin in hand. Phoebe turned to see what all the commotion was about when a body collided with hers, knocking her to the hard cobblestone ground. The book flung out of the basket and into a large dirty puddle.

Phoebe gasped, scrambling to retrieve the book before any major damage could be done to it. Alas, fate was not in her favor and the book was drenched in the murky water.

"No, no, no, no," Phoebe continuely repeated like a mantra. Flipping through the pages she found each page to have the words leaking off, others ripping apart at the seams.

"I-I'm really sorry." A unfamiliar voice quickly apologized from behind. Phoebe whipped her head around to meet the dark eyes of a handsome village boy. His hair was cut short and he had a rather muscular build. Phoebe was in complete awe of his beauty.

The boys eyes widened and he quickly knelt down. "Your Majesty! I-I promise you I did not know it was uh- you."

Phoebe chuckled, rising to her feet. "You don't have to kneel. I visit everyday and I don't make my people treat me like a god. I am no god."

But you look like a goddess, The boy thought to himself. With one single glance, Phoebe held him like putty in her hand, yet she had no clue. "That's mighty fair of you, your Majesty. Other royals are not as kind as your family."

Phoebe's cheeks dusted a light shade of pink. "Please call me Phoebe."

The boy smiled back at her, "Nice to formally meet you, Princess Phoebe. My name is Ajax."

Phoebe returned the gester with no hesitance. "It's nice to meet you too, Ajax."

"There he is! Get 'em!" Ajax's eyes bulged out of his head. Phoebe widened her eyes as the baker and a few other villagers came hurling towards them.

"Well I got to go!" He called over his shoulder. "Nice meeting you Princess!" Phoebe waved goodbye to him, her heart fluttering as she watched him get further and further away til he was nothing but a speck.

"Oh! Your Majesty!" The flourists gasped, placing her hand over her heart. The other villagers stopping by her. "Did you see where that little miscreant went running off too?"

Phoebe furrowed her eyebrows with fake confusion. "Who would you be referring too?" The flourist huffed.

"The boy by the fountain." She replied dully.

"Oh!" Phoebe was a rather good actress in her opinion. "He went that way." She told pointing the angry citizens in the opposite direction he ran in. The villagers nodded and continued on with the wild goose chase. Phoebe turned with a proud grin onto her face.

She had made a new friend.
