You could find Lilith Black at the Gryffindor common room.

Gryffindor was doing this thing where they celebrate before the final Quidditch match. Everyone knew that there was a high possibility for either side to win, but it might all end up on the seeker to find the snitch.

Gryffindor decided to throw a party if only to have some fun like that.

Inside the Gryffindor common room was noise. Outside the Gryffindor common room, in the hallways, you could hear nothing because of the spell they put around the common room.

Inside the Gryffindor common room, there was not only noise but people as well. Many people were dancing around, many people were drinking, and lots of people - if not all - were just having fun in general.

There also happened to be a redhead inside the Gryffindor common room. If one asks where they could find Lilith Black at the moment, maybe they would guess a library. Yet, Lilith Black was lounging in the Gryffindor common room enjoying the party with the rest of the Gryffindor.

When she was invited by multiple people, she did not wish to let them down and so attended it if only to make them happy. She brought a book, in case she needs it, but it seemed like she was too busy replying to people to read the book.

"It's nice having a little fun, isn't it?" asked Alice Prewett as she sat down beside the redhead.

Lilith could immediately tell Alice Prewett was drunk and, by time, she got to learn that Alice Prewett turns into a wise man when drunk.

"You know, let me give you some advice. Next year, in your final year, try to make lots of memories. I don't know when I will see these people again. The only person I can assure you I'll see is Frank. He proposed. We're engaged, you know? So, next year, live it up to your fullest. I don't think the real world out there is as excellent as it seems, no matter how many times I wished I would be out there. The outside world is dangerous and we were protected inside these walls. Just trust me, Lily, and live it to the best you've got. You never know when life will be a bitch."

Lilith nodded in agreement.
"Congratulations on your engagement! How about we have some cake?"

"Oh! Cake! Yes, please!"

Lilith handled the drunk Alice Prewett. Maybe if she ate some cake, she would sober up a bit. Lilith was going to take it slow.

By the end of the night, Alice Prewett was fast asleep on of the chairs at the Gryffindor common room. By the end of the night, Lilith Black had checked everyone was fine before leaving.

It was good she had some fun. She needed to distract her mind.

Now, she can rest in bed and read the book, no noise to annoy her.

It was the final Quidditch match for the Hogwarts academic year. For anyone playing Quidditch who happened to be in their final year of Hogwarts, this may truly be their final time ever playing the magical sport.

Now, I won't show you the final Quidditch match of the academic year immediately. I am going to show you something that happened before it.
Speeches are usually done before the Quidditch match or after the match, without regarding the winners or the losers. Both always end up making speeches. Whether they were good or bad, that depends on the status of victory or loss.

It was the final Quidditch match for the Hogwarts academic year. For anyone playing Quidditch who happened to be in their final year of Hogwarts, this may truly be their final time ever playing the magical sport.

"SLYTHERINS! Gather around, Snakes!" called James Potter, Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team.

I am going to show you the final speech James Potter was possibly ever going to make as Captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team.

"Snakes are known to be powerful hunters and ambush predators. You may wonder why the hell am I telling you this. Well, if snakes, if we are great ambush predators then I want you to recognize your prey out there and hunt them down. We should not lose. If we are efficient hunters, then I want you to hunt the Gryffindor Quidditch team tonight. WE NEED TO WIN!"

"SNAKES! SNAKES! SNAKES!" shouted the rest of the Slytherin Quidditch team in agreement with their captain.

I guess all I could say is that when it comes to Quidditch, people are aimed to win. When it comes to Quidditch, maybe even any other competition, people want to be the victorious winner on top and not the defeated loser at the bottom. As I said, that concept does not only apply to Quidditch but every other competition as well.

It was the final Quidditch match for the Hogwarts academic year. For anyone playing Quidditch who happened to be in their final year of Hogwarts, this may truly be their final time ever playing the magical sport.

It was going to be a competitive one. Not just from Slytherin, but also from Gryffindor. Not just from Gryffindor, but also from Slytherin.

I once told you James Potter does not kid when it comes to Quidditch. Let's see how much he kids when it comes to what could possibly be his final Quidditch match ever.

At Hogwarts, students can participate in a game called Quidditch. I'm sure you have heard of it before because there is no witch or wizard that has never heard of quidditch. It is a game that takes place above ground on brooms that most Hogwarts students get excited for. Their excitement can vary from the people who are playing for their house to the people who are excited to see who wins the Quidditch Cup at the end of the year.

Now? Now is when you will get to observe the final Quidditch match of this academic school year. A match that lasted approximately three hours.

The match was intense, I tell you. Everyone wanted to win. Every side wanted to bring victory to their house. Each side wanted to win the Quidditch match. Each side wanted to bring home the Quidditch Cup back to their house.

Ah yes, the Quidditch Cup. It is what makes the audience and the players even more excited. After all, put a promise of a treat for a dog and it will do your bidding in order to receive the sweet treat.
Everyone wanted to win the Quidditch Cup, but only one team could truly win per school year.

Only one team - either the Gryffindor one or the Slytherin one - could win this Quidditch match this year. Only one team - either the Gryffindor one or the Slytherin one - could win the Quidditch Cup this year.

Of course, the first hour of the match was filled with excitement from both sides, the players and the observers. The second hour was filled with agitation. The third hour was slowly making the fun drain away and people were starting to get bored. They might have also started getting a little mad.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and folk all around. It seems you won't be waiting anymore because both Seekers - Gryffindor and Slytherin - have located the snitch. The fucking golden snitch has been located and know one of you needs to catch it! It's Royalty Boot versus Shantelle Selwyn. They are one year apart and it seems like they are apart once more. SOMEONE CATCH THE SNITCH, FOR MERLIN'S SAKE!"

It was a battle.

There always has been a rivalry between Gryffindor, a house of brave lions, and Slytherin, a house of ambitious snakes.

"Red versus green. Lions versus snakes. Gryffindor versus Slytherin. This is the last match of the season, folks. For some, this is the last match they might ever encounter. Bring victory to your house! That is the notion, folks. The question is who will do so in the end?"

Royalty Boot and Shantelle Selwyn were fighting and trying to reach the sneaky golden snitch that could bring victory to their team.

I'm sure you are dying to know who had won the final match of the season. So, let's not have a walk with time and just give you the results...

"Shantelle Selwyn has caught the snitch, folks! Slytherin wins and this fucking long match has ended! But I have an inquiry? You really couldn't win for us, Shacklebolt? We won't see you next year! You look like you're going to kill me! So, does McGonagall. Well, folks, I guess congratulations to the snakes. Gryffindors, on the other hand... I want a mafia wearing black suits at my funeral to look like I have done something in my life."

Jeffrey Jordan, the commentator for all Quidditch matches, ran for his life. Away from half the Gryffindor Quidditch team who were chasing him. In addition to them, he was running away from Minerva McGonagall.

Slytherin was having a party in celebration of their victory.

They were cheering. They were drinking. They were dancing. They were doing all sorts of things.

It was not the end of the year yet, but it was close.

Mikayla Travers approached James Potter once they let him down.

"Hey, James," she said in that way girls do when they try to flirt with boys. She even twirled a strand of her hair.

"Not not, Travers," he said, ignoring her.

James Potter placed the Quidditch Cup on a nearby surface and enjoyed the party. He inhaled the victory, knowing he might never be able to play Quidditch anymore. Especially with the war that was coming.

I will remind you of three scenes.

If you have gotten bored of me reminding and reminding you with repetition, then you might as well skip them. I am sure most of you, if not all, skip the repeated parts and move on to the juicier parts of the story.

Nonetheless, I will remind you of three scenes.

The first scene is a quiet moment between two people...

"Aren't you cold?" he asked, leaning forward on the rail.

"It's May," she said, stating out facts. "Summer is near."

"Yet, it's windy tonight," he matched her facts with a fact of his own.

"Why did they have to die?" she asked. "We could have done something to save them, yet everyone was determined to live life. Why could we not avoid death?"

"Because death is an unavoidable concept," he told her. She could feel his eyes on her. "When you go into a garden, what kind of flower would you usually pick?"

"Lavenders because those were my mother's favorite," she said.

"You'd pick the most beautiful-looking ones for your mother, right?" he asked, following the path she decided to take.

"Of course," she said, finally looking at him.

"Death picks some of the pretty flowers that Life has in its garden," said James Potter. "We cannot change it because... people dying is an inarguable absolute. It cannot be changed."

"Do you always have wise words when it is dark times?" asked the redhead.

"I'm secretly smart," he smirked. This smirk seemed of the forced type, but also of the apologetic type.

He reached his hand out and helped her out of the rail she sat on. When he held her hand, he noticed how cold it was. He had no idea how long she had been sitting there and she was not going to ask her. He took off his jacket and placed it on her shoulders.

"Let me take you back," he said.

"I don't want to go back," she said.

He looked into her emerald eyes. Usually, they were filled with wit, curiosity, excitement, and many more emotions that made her eyes seem like a bright, green lightbulb. Now, they seemed dull as if the lightbulb needed to be replaced.

He sat down, leaning his head against one of the walls. He laid her down, resting her head on his lap. He started massaging her head in a gentle matter that lulled her to sleep with time.

The second moment is what happened to the twosome the next day...

"Lily..."

"Do not touch me. Do not even try to talk to me," she said, not turning to look at him.

"Lils-"

"You have no right to address me!" said Lilith, turning to look at him. "I let you in and you ruined me. I thought you were something else than what others say, but you were with the Death Eaters that killed ten people!"

"The plan-"

"I don't care what the fucking plan was because ten people were killed nonetheless by one of your colleagues," said the redhead, tears falling down her face.

He wanted to hold her.

He wanted her to cry on his shoulder.

He wanted to hold her.

He wanted to comfort her.

He felt like crying himself.

"Just listen-"

"Maybe I don't want to," said Lilith. "Because nothing you say will change what one of your associates did."

He knew there would be no use arguing with her, so he let her go.

He wondered... how did they end up here?

People evolve over time. You could be great friends with someone one day and then they betray you the next day. Things change, as they say, and sometimes you can predict them. Most times, on the other hand, you can never predicate them. They attack you like a surprise.

The third scene is what happened that led to the event of the previous scene. At least part of the scene to reactivate your brain and remind it...

"It's simple," continued Amycus Carrow for his twin when she decided to stay silent, making things awkward. "The Dark Lord wants you to grab all of us in a meeting. You've done that. The Dark Lord wants revenge ideas. We can make some."

"The Carrows are right," said Dorcas Meadows who was lounging upside down on the chair. "Voldy wants revenge plans and we need to deliver to prove our worth of being a part of a big corporation. So, start planning."

"One, sit properly, or else all the blood will travel to your head," Marlene chided her.

Dorcas sat straight and the rush she felt made her shut up for a bit, leaning back on the chair she was sitting in.

"Two, you're all right. We have to come up with revenge plans and report back to Voldy," said Marlene. "Stop staring at that parchment, Padfoot! It will not change!"

"Trouble in paradise?" chuckled one of the future Death Eaters.

That future Death Eater was cursed to stay silent for the rest of the meeting.

"It can't be any revenge plan. It has to be a good one. One that would make them proud," stated James.
You can take a guess on who he meant by 'them', but you can obviously conclude he meant more than one person.

"We can kill muggles," said Evan Rosier. "An eye for an eye sort of thing."

"What?"

Those three scenes were what I wanted to remind you about. Now, the reason for that is to escalate to the scene I am about to narrate for you...

James Potter had looked at the Marauder's Map - a map that can tell you where is the location of a person inside the castle because it had almost every corner of the castle written in hidden ink on it. As I said, the Marauder looked at the map and found the person he was looking for.

"Lily!"

She acted like she cannot hear him.

"Lilith!"

She continued to act as she could not hear him.

"Lilith Lucille Black!" he said, pushing her against the wall. "Has anyone told you ignoring someone is rude?"

"Has anyone told you pushing someone against the wall is rude?" Lilith asked back. She glared at him.

"You wouldn't talk to me."

"I don't want to talk to you," said the redhead.

"You are so stubborn, you know that, right? If you would just listen-"

"I don't want to listen," said the redhead. "You know, for a matter of fact-"

"Lilith Lucille Potter, I swear to Merlin you are getting on-"

"What did you just call me?" Lilith asked him.

He made his brain catch up with what he said, forcing his brain to go back into the past for a second.

Lilith Lucille Potter.

He just called her a Potter.

He decided to stay silent if merely only because he had nothing to say. He was an idiot. He knew for a fact she did not know.

She leaned closer to him. Their faces were so close to each other it seemed they were breathing in each other's own breaths. It was like they were sharing one breath.

All he could think about was her lips and how close they were.

He had to refrain from doing something that would make him a greater idiot. He had to refrain from kissing her.

"I will never be your anything, Potter," said Lilith. "I will never be a Potter."

"Never say never," he said, speaking his mind.

"I already did," Lilith told him before ducking under his arm and walking away.

James hit his head on the wall and practically declared himself an idiot.
When the Marauders found out about that, James Potter's cousin deemed him the greatest idiot of all while the rest of the Marauders agreed with Marlene McKinnon.

I think you lot will want to kill me from the amount of - what I hope could count as - angst that I will be giving you in this book (and maybe the next as well...👀).

Do you realize we part ways with this book soon?
