Festivals come and go, leaving traces of memories with us. And the stories remain. And on AmbassadorsJP, we want to give you a chance to tell your stories. To celebrate Japanese Cultural Day on November 3rd and National Origami Day on November 11th, we present to you our latest contest, Origami and The Royal Festival.

You come back home after months. Nobody lives in your home except you so how did one thousand origami cranes end up in your living room?

Your family suddenly decides to go on vacation without telling you where they are going. Waking up in the car, you realize that you are surrounded by the Kawaguchiko countryside. You arrive at an ancient Japanese house which happens to be your grandparents and your grandma seems to be expecting your arrival as there seems to be some traditional, cultural mysterious festive vibe going on. What would you do when you are told to lead this festival as you're from a line of royalty?

GUIDELINES
1. The deadline is December 15th, 2021 at 23:59 PM EST. Any entries submitted after this time will not be accepted.
2. Your entry must have 1500 - 2000 words for our prompt.
3. Entries must be written in Japanese or English. For English stories, the story must have a Japanese theme to make it appropriate for our profile theme.
4. All stories should be written exclusively for this prompt.
5. One story submission per user. Add your story to your profile. It can be a standalone story or published as a part of an already existing collection of stories.
6. Please pay attention to spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Creativity and relevance to the prompt will be taken into consideration during judging.
7. Mature stories will be accepted for this contest. But if a mature entry wins, it won't be added to our anthology as we intend to keep the anthology for all age groups.
8. All stories must adhere to Wattpad's Content Guidelines.
9. Once your story is complete, please submit it via this FORM.
Only stories submitted via the form will be eligible for judging. We do, however, encourage you to share the link to your story in the comment section below.
