Chaeyeon got home just after her extra dance class, she was actually calling for her sister but Chaeryeong wouldn't answer her phone.
"Mom, eomma~ I'm home now" Chaeyeon said but she didn't heard a response, she thought that maybe her parents were just busy with something.
She went to check if Chaeryeong was home already so she went to her sister's room. She checked and she was glad that Chaeryeong was there but what bothered was why was Chaeryeong already sleeping?
She went down and heard some noises from the study room so she knocked on the door and opened it.
"Oh, you're home now sweetie, how was dance?" Mina asked as she was tidying up the shelves while Chaeyoung was working on her designs again.
"Dance was fine... what happened to Chaery?" Chaeyeon asked worriedly, she knew something was wrong when her mom sighed.
Mina then explained to Chaeyeon everything.
"But isn't it a good thing that they knew each other?" Chaeyeon asked
"Yes sweetie, its good that they know each other but there's a problem that we have" Mina said
"What is it?" Chaeyeon asked
"Well, you know that you're sister is really sensitive and she cares for everyone around her right?" Mina said and Chaeyeon nodded
"We already figured that Chaeryeong remembers Yuna, but it actually hurts her... knowing that Yuna suddenly changed especially that she saw her today smoking again. Chaeryeong is blaming herself, even saying she is a bad influence and its her fault why Yuna was like that" Mina said
"Its not Chaeryeong's fault anyways" Chaeyeon said
"We know how Chaeryeong is... we just need to talk to her about it and hopefully she gets better. Nayeon is probably going to talk to Yuna, if not Nayeon, Ryujin will" Chaeyoung said and sighed
Chaeyeon was worried already, all of this things that are happening.
"Go and get some rest, we'll call you when dinner is ready sweetie" Mina said and Chaeyeon just nodded
"Don't stress too much on it mom, eomma, I'll help with Chaeryeong" Chaeyeon said and hugged her mothers
"Thank you so much sweetie" Mina said
Days have passed, Chaeryeong was all quiet everytime, even at school. Yuna didn't showed up because she got grounded, not only that, Nayeon and Jeongyeon themselves told Jihyo about the violation that Yuna did so Jihyo probably understood.
"Hey Chaeryeong, let's eat" Lia said as she went to the younger's class, it was currently break time.
"I don't have the appetite unnie, you unnies can eat without me" Chaeryeong said
"You'll get sick if you don't eat" Yeji said
"Don't worry, I'll eat when I arrive back at the house" Chaeryeong said
"Hey...." she heard, it was Ryujin now
"Does it still hurt?" Chaeryeong asked Ryujin. She knew what happened, Yujin told her yesterday.
"Not anymore, Miyun actually told me to take care of myself" Ryujin said and chuckled
"Hmm, go and eat your lunch, I'll stay here" Chaeryeong said
"Are you sure?" Lia asked and Chaeryeong just nodded
"Call us if ever something happens" Yeji said and Chaeryeong nodded again, she watch them leave the room and go off to the cafeteria.
She looked out the window, she remembered the day she saw Ryujin... again after a long time
Flashback....
"Hey Chaeryeong" Chaeryeong turned her head, it was Ryujin.
Chaeryeong lied to Yuna, she told her that she never spoke to Ryujin but the truth, ever since the first day, Ryujin and Chaeryeong started talking to each other.
"Oh Hey Ryujin" Chaeryeong said with a smile
"Come on, I need to tell you something important" Ryujin said and Chaeryeong nodded
She followed the shorter girl to the rooftop of the school, they went to the side, just where they could see the field.
"So what is it?" Chaeryeong asked
"You still remember me from before right?" Ryujin asked
"Of course I do, I wouldn't forget that time tho" Chaeryeong said and chuckled
"Ah jinja, don't tease me with it" Ryujin said
"Ryeong-ah~, i like you~" Chaeryeong teased and then she laughed right after
"Fine, but I'm still mad that you didn't liked me back" Ryujin said and crossed her arms
"Ryujin, I had reason and of course I like you back then, we were so young" Chaeryeong said
"Okay, we move on from that, I was gonna ask..... how come you still don't remember Yuna?" Ryujin asked all of the sudden
"Yuna? I just met her this year Ryujin, don't be silly" Chaeryeong said and shook her head
"I'm disappointed Ryeong" Ryujin said and playfully shook her head.
"Why? What do I not know?" Chaeryeong asked
"You promised one little girl before....." Ryujin said
"What do you mean? I only talk to one little girl often when I was visiting the orphanage before, after mom and eomma got me and Chaeyeon unnie" Chaeryeong said
"You know that we used to play at the nearby playground right?" Ryujin said and Chaeryeong nodded
"Don't you remember that one little girl who I was annoyed of sometimes? Yuna was there with us all the time" Ryujin said which confused Chaeryeong
"Ryujin, the only other little girl that we play with all the time is Yuyu, Yuna couldn't be Yuyu because..." Chaeryeong was cut off when she saw Ryujin's face, it was showing something.
"Ryujin..." Chaeryeong nervously called
"Mhm?" Ryujin asked and then looked down on the ground
"D-Don't tell me that.... Yuna is Yuyu..." Chaeryeong looked at Ryujin worriedly
"She is Chaeryeong, Yuna is the little girl who you loved to play with before" Ryujin said
"H-how?" Chaeryeong asked
With that, Ryujin explained everything to Chaeryeong, how Yuna became different.
End of flashback....
A tear escaped Chaeryeong's eye, falling to her cheek. When the bell rang, indicating that the students could go home. She quickly grabbed her things and went to the gate. Her sister picked her up.
"How was school?" Chaeyeon tried to lighten up the mood
"The same" Chaeryeong said and looked out at the window.
Chaeyeon sighed, Chaeryeong was probably hurt.
As soon as they reached the house, Chaeryeong went to her room to change. She also went to the movie room to watch something by herself.
Later on, Mina and Chaeyoung arrived at the house after a half day of work.
"Chaeyeon-ah, are you girls home?" Mina asked as she placed her bag on the coffee table.
"Yes mom~" Chaeyeon replied from the kitchen
"Where's your sister?" Mina asked
"She's here jagi" Chaeyoung said softly, Mina went towards Chaeyoung, she was standing by the door of the movie room.
Chaeryeong was sitting down on the floor, a blanket and pillow beside her. She was hugging her legs as she watched a movie, more specifically anime (Howl's Moving Castle)
"She didn't talked much to me a while ago" Chaeyeon said
"Don't worry, I'll talk to her" Mina said and the other two nodded.
Mina went inside the movie room and sat beside her daughter. She also noticed that Chaeryeong was already crying.
"Sweetie, why are you crying?" Mina asked worriedly
"Mom, do you think.... I wasn't a good help to Yuna?" Chaeryeong asked
"Sweetie, you helped a lot for Yuna" Mina said and then hugged Chaeryeong.
"If I was, then she would've stop smoking... she would've not fought with Ryujin and shouted back at her parents. I just made things worse" Chaeryeong said, she was already breaking down.
"Sweetie no.... its not your fault" Mina said and caressed Chaeryeong's hair.
"Sweetie, you've done a lot already for Yuna, Nayeon and Jeongyeon are thankful that you made Yuna more active in school" Mina said as she wipes off the tears from her daughters cheeks.
"But everything is back to before mom.... I don't want to see Yuna like that. She was kind and caring before, Is it my fault? was it because I stopped going at the park?" Chaeryeong asked but Mina just kept quiet, it was best if Chaeryeong lets it all out.
"Mom, I can't stand seeing Yuna like that, she was so bubbly before, I just want the old Yuna back......... I want Yuyu back" Chaeryeong said while crying.
"I know baby, I know" Mina said and brought Chaeryeong to a hug. She kissed her daughter's forehead, hoping she would calm down in a while.
Chaeryeong fell asleep in her mom's embrace, Chaeyoung had to carry her to her room so that she could sleep properly and comfortably.
Mina and Chaeyoung left Chaeryeong's room.
"Was it our fault Chaeng?" Mina asked and sighed
"Its not our fault Minari, Chaeryeong got sick that time, she wasn't allowed to go out and play" Chaeyoung explained
Another reason that Yuna change was that her favorite playmate before suddenly left her alone......
