there was a girl
who spoke in songs
her voice not the loveliest
but most pleasant of all
this girl, she sang
with fire in her eyes
and I swear you'll see
she told no lies
this girl, she spoke
of wars and hate
she said try to stop it
before it was too late
and you could see it in her face
her eyes, and her smile
this girl was so broken
and she did not know why
