As I lay down at my bed
And drink in the last remnants of light
The splashes of color in this monochrome world
The various flaws and mistakes of the human beings,
And feel tears course down my pale cheeks,
And an insurmountable weight settling in my chest
I want to silently protest
Cry out with no sound
And wonder why some people were born to be happy
And some were born like me,
Doomed to forever hold sadness deep in the bones,
And sleep with endless pain.
