she promised her beneath stardust
and the blue Moon's face,
to fulfill such an oath
she returned to her grave,
weep, the willow tree did
but cry she did not,
instead she dug blistered palms
into the soft, disinterred dirt,
it was as cold as death
no such home for eternity,
she stepped a foot into the new hole
then began digging once more,
where did the broken-hearted
woman find herself going?
down beneath her beloved's grave
where she suffocated in due time,
and her starlit promise made to her
was completed as her heart stopped,
