Sometimes the demons are
so overwhelming
they become
impossible to ignore
When it's quiet
and I'm alone
Even distractions
can't lead me away
from the edge
I feel the helplessness
creeping up on me
Sliding it's filthy fingers
around my neck
Choking all sense
of my reality away
All I can see in this moment
is the impossible sadness
standing before me
And it feels endless
