chapter 3: Brown Eyed Girl
High school is the definition of hell. Everything here in Ivendale High sucks ass. Of course no one knows I think this. I mean I'm Cole Austin. The star of this fucking high school. I hate everything about this place. From the cheerleaders who throw themselves at you at any chance, to the emo's who fucking hiss at me in the hallway, and don't get me started on the teachers.
I just need to get into college with a good football team and get a scholarship. Then I can finally get out of this place. Sure I love my friends and my team here but that's it. Nothing else here is worth my time.
I finally see a parking spot and park. I think for a moment to just skip but decide against it. I need to get good grades if I want a scholarship. I get out of my car and head over to where I see my group.
I can already feel the stares, and I hate it. Sure on the outside it might look like I love to be in the spotlight. In reality I hate it. There's so much pressure it's like a ton of bricks constantly on your shoulders reminding you to be perfect.
I shake off my thoughts and give them all my best charming smile. I first see Louis. He has dark chocolate brown eyes, black curly hair, dark skin, muscular body, and tall. He's usually the smart one but is very chill and makes jokes all the time. In any serious time he can always cheer you up.
Next I see Chase. He's the definition of a school fuck boy. He has blonde hair, bright blue eyes, tall, and muscular. He's the one who can't take anything seriously and is never serious. Not once have I seen him be serious in my hole entire life. He is a child at heart but a playboy as well. We always here about his new hookup after the weekend or at practices. Just as I'm about to get over to them I hear my name being called by an very annoying high pitch voice ,
"Ohhh Coleee!" I turn around to see Maggie. She's your basic blonde dumb girl. She literally looks like a barbie. Her whole face is covered with makeup. I hooked up with her when I was very drunk at a party, and now she won't stop bothering me.
"How have you been? I missed you so much over the summer." She looks up at me through her eyelashes and does a fake giggle.
"Um hi Maggie." She does another fake giggle.
"Hey how about you and me-" She didn't get to finish her sentence when I hear,
"Cole! There you are we've been looking for you! Oh would you look at the time, we better get inside." Chase says and drags me away.
"Thanks I don't think I could've gone another minute with her."
"We could see that. You're welcome by the way." Louis says with a smirk.
"I would love to chitchat mates but I've got to get to my classes." Chase says in a british accent.
"Goodbye my lovely little lads!" Me and Louis laugh at him.
"I have to go to the office to get my new schedule. My original one had me in theater." We both laugh. "Later." He walks off. I wave bye with a smile.
It's just me I guess. I walk and pull out my phone from my pocket to look at my schedule. As I'm walking I bump into something. I look down and see the most stunning girl I've ever laid my eyes on.
She has brown eyes, but their more then that. They have warmth in them, in a way that can make anyone feel comfortable or at home when they look at them. Her hair is dark almost black but there's a little brown to it. She has freckles on her cheeks. Just barley there but I see them. She has beautiful full lips that I just want to kis-
wait what.
"Oh my gosh I am so sorry I-" She starts saying but stops short when we make eye contact and I swear time stops. I feel my stomach do somersaults and I feel actual sparks. I know how crazy that sounds but I really do."Again I am so sorry." She apologizes and walks away before I can get a chance to reply.
I just stand there looking like a complete idiot. I've never felt that way with anyone or anything. Sure I've had girlfriends and crushes in the past, but this was different. It was like I knew she was the one. I'm pretty sure I stand there for another few minutes until I realize I'm going to be late. I hear the bell ring and try to hurry to my class.
I finally find it and walk in. I look around in hopes she might be in here, when I see her. I could feel butterflies in my stomach and my heart going a million miles per minute.
"Ahh Mister Austin you finally decided to join us." What ever this guys name is. Though it's not a huge surprise he knows mine. I put on my charming smile and reply,
"Sorry I'm late sir, it won't happen again." I say with a fake sincere look. Maybe I should join theater...
"That's quite alright it's the first day. Just don't let it happen again. Take any seat. Back to what I was saying, I hope everyone had a good summer break. I'm going to pass out the syllabus now." Groans go around the class room.
I don't focus on that though. I focus on her and only her. It like I can't help it. My eyes are automatically drawn to her. I see the seat it open next to her and my feel automatically move towards it, like they have a mind of their own.
I get to the seat and set my stuff down and lazily plop myself in the seat. I look over to see she's already looking at me. As we make eye contact time stops again. My heart starts beating and my stomach starts acting weird again. I want to say something sweet or at least introduce my self but, what comes out of my mouth was,
"Is there something on my face?" I ask with a smirk on my face. I immediately regret it. She doesn't say anything and just looks back towards the front of the classroom. I'm already missing those pair of brown eyes. Even though she looks away, I can't. It's like it's physically impossible. She probably thinks I'm a creep but I could care less. I just look at her like she's the only thing in the room.
As soon as the bell rings she gathers her stuff and gets out of the classroom so fast I can't even ask her what I've been wanting to all day. All I can hope is to see the beautiful brown eyed girl later today.

It was now lunch time and I was disappointed. I didn't get to see her at all even though I looked high and low. Every time I would walk into class I would search for her. To my disappointment she was not there.
I decided that I'll just have to find her at lunch. I was currently sitting at our usual table looking for her in the lunch room. Then I see her. She looks around and inspects the cafeteria with her eyebrows all scrunched up, before leaving the cafeteria.
I pull out my phone to see where the two idiots are.

I turn off my phone and head to our usual place in the lunch room. I see Louis already at our spot along with a few other people from the team. I give them all a nod and sit down.
"Food?" Louis asks.
"I'm gonna wait till the line goes down." He looks over at the line then nods.
"Sup bitches!" Chase yells. We all look at him with a really face. I don't know how he gets so many girls. "You'll never guess what they have today Bosco sticks! These are a childhood memory and they are just," he kisses the goddamn food "Ugh how I've missed you."
We all look at him like the fucking weirdo he is. I look over to see Louis looking at the plate with a smirk on his face. I tap the table to try to get his attention but it's too late. He stole one the Bosco sticks and took at big bite out of it.
Everyone knows you don't steal Chas's food. Unless he gives you permission (which is very rare), do not under any circumstances take the food. Unless you want to have a death wish stay away from the food.
When Chase relies what's been done he look over slowly at Louis with a death stare. Louis decided to dig his grave even more and opens his mouth to show the already chewed food.
"YOU BITCH!" Chase yells and all hell brakes loose. Louis gets up and sprints while Chase is on his tale. Deciding I'd rather do something else I head to the library not having anything else to do.
I walk into the library to see her. She's a goddess that everyone should worship. I take my time to admire her. The sunlight at the perfect angle, the way her hair is on one side so she can read, the circle glasses on the tip of her nose, the way her small but yet slender fingers reach for the apples, the- ok you need to look away before she think your a creep.
I look down towards my phone but then it's like a magnet is making me look at her. I lift my head and we immediately make eye contacts. I see those beautiful brown eyes again. She looks away blushing and I smirk knowing I have an effect on her.
All I can think of is, why haven't I noticed her sooner.
