Cassis' P.O.V.

"If you are coming to the doctor's appointment, we are leaving now!" I called up the stairs.

"Coming!" Gabby yelled.

"Avery, will you start the car?" I asked.

"Yes, love," he said, kissing me on his way to the front door.

"Markie?" I said, coming into the kitchen. He was standing in front of the sink looking out the window. "Are you coming to the doctor's appointment?"

"Yeah. I'm coming." he turned around and I could tell he had been crying. He faked a smile and tried to walk out of the kitchen, but I stopped him.

"Markus, I will do everything in my power to make you happy. If you want to eat ice cream and watch cheesy movies, we can do that. You don't have to tell me twice." I laughed.

"Cassi, I want you to just take care of yourself. I don't want you to worry about it at all. See, I'm fine." He gave me a thumbs up, then a kiss on the cheek. "Do you want to take separate cars?"

"No, Its okay. I think Gabby and Felix are taking their own car, but you can ride with us if you want."

"Yeah, I can do that." he said. He left the kitchen and I was left standing in the middle of the room by myself.

I know I didn't show it, or I hope I didn't, but I was scared. I wanted my mom. She had Lacey when she was only 18, and she would know what to do. I was going to keep it of course. I just wish I had her to tell me it was going to be okay, to tell me that I was going to get through this.

"Cassi! We're ready!" Gabby skipped into the room, "Hey, are you okay?"

"What?" I hadn't noticed the tears forming in my eyes, "Oh, yeah. I'm okay." I laughed, wiping the tears from my eyes.

"Hey, it's okay. Do you want me and Felix to stay? You and Avery haven't really had any time alone since before."

"No, I want you to go. I need my second mom for support." I didn't want to tell her this, but I wanted Felix to have the chance to see the baby for the first time.

She laughed, and then hugged me. "Okay, well I think Avery and Markus are waiting in the car. We'll meet you over there."

I followed her out the door, and got in the car that was behind hers.

"Ready?" Markus asked, more excited than he was when I had talked to him earlier.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I sighed. Avery took my hand, then backed out of the garage.

"Well, are you guys ready?" Dr. Michaels asked.

"Yep!" I laughed, pulling my shirt above my belly.

"Do you know how far along you are?" he asked.

"About a month." I said. I knew it right away. It was the only possible way it could be Felix's.

"That's great. So we shouldn't actually be able to see the baby yet, but we will be able to hear the heartbeat." He put some goo on my stomach, the put the ultrasound machine on it. "So who is the father?" He asked, pausing his work to listen.

"Well, uhm-"

"It's Avery." Felix interrupted me, patting Avery on the back.

"Well, the babies' heartbeats are perfect." he said.

"Wait, what?" I asked. "Did you say babies? As in two of them."

"Yeah, didn't you hear the beats? There are two of them. Here, listen." He put the machine on a spot where you could hear them very well. Sure enough, along with the sounds of my stomach, were two little beats.

"Oh my god, it is twins!" Markus boasted.

I saw Avery look at Felix and mutter something.

"Mamae was totally right!" Markus laughed.

"What do you mean Mom was right? Did you tell her!?" I asked.

"No. She just completely assumed. Or as she called it, she knew. She knew you were having twins too!" he laughed. Dr. Michaels wiped off the goo from my stomach and I sat up.

"Wow. Okay, that's trippy." I said, shaking my head.

"So, you guys are all set. You can make an appointment for next month, just talk to Lydia at the front desk. But if you have any questions, please, call me." He said, handing over a card.

"Okay, thank you." I smiled. He left and I got my stuff ready. I could see tears in Gabby's eyes. "What's the matter?" I asked, hugging her with one arm.

"Nothing," She sighed, wiping her eyes.

"Hey, you three go ahead. I want to talk to Gabby, alone." I said, waving the boys off. I made another appointment, then Gabby and I walked out slowly.

"Okay, spill. What's going on?" I asked.

"I just. It's nothing really." She laughed.

"No, it's not 'nothing'. Please tell me?" I asked, leading us to a bench outside of the office.

"It's just, I saw the way Felix was in there. He may not act excited, but he really is." she sighed, "I wish he would act that way around me. I know he wants kids, and I wish I could give him kids now."

"Gabby. I want you to pay attention next time you are talking to him, pay attention to the way he looks at you. He looks at you like you are the most unique flower in all of existence, like you're an angel. Gabby, he loves you so much. You are like his... His rock, you keep him rooted to reality. Don't tell him I told you this, but when he found out Candy cheated on him, he was pretty depressed. He was almost suicidal. The boys, his parents, and I were all very worried about him. Even while auditioning for battle of the bands, he was suicidal. That first day of living in the house, he had already changed. It was because of you Gabby. He loves you. So much. And he can wait for kids, y'all have plenty of time for that. " I paused, letting her take it all in.

"Wow." she whispered. "Thank you Cassi." She stood up, then helped me up.

"No problem. If you ever need anything, just ask. How does your stomach feel?"

"It's okay. Just a little tender." she shrugged.

Gabby's POV

I wondered if what Cassi said was true. Did Felix really look at me like that? Did he really need me as much as she said he did? Did he really love me that much?

I sighed as I got in Felix's car. He grabbed my hand and interlaced our fingers together. "What did Cassi want?" he asked as he backed out of our parking spot.

"Just wanted to ask how my stomach felt. She wanted to see it, too," I told him.

He gave me a look, "You didn't take the bandage off it, did you?" he asked.

I shook my head, "I told her you'd get mad," I teased. "I think it'll need to be cleaned again, though. Would you put more of that ointment stuff on it, too? It's a bit tender," I asked.

He nodded, "Soon as we get home," he sped up a bit.

"Anything to see me with my shirt off," I joked.

He winked at me with a smile on his face, "You know it, baby."

I leaned over and pecked his cheek, "I love you, Felix."

"I love you, too, Gabrielle."

We sat in silence as he drove and I watched him. He moved his lips softly to the background music. His hair fell partly in his eyes and I reached over and pushed it back.

"Your hair drives me crazy," I murmured.

"Good crazy or bad crazy?" he asked.

"A little of both," I replied.

He grinned at me, "Oh, really?"

I nodded and sighed. I couldn't take it anymore. I had to ask him. I looked out the window. "Felix?" I asked. He pulled into the garage.

"Yes, love?" he asked. I sighed. I couldn't ask him now. We were too close to our friends.

"Nevermind," I said and got out of the car and walked into the house and up the stairs.

Why can't I just know?
