Imani Pov
I woke up in a dark place, it felt like I was floating. I couldn't feel nor see anything. Suddenly a bright light appeared in front of me and blinding me, I looked closer into the light, and I could see myself in a car with Kane, Amari and Khalani. I was laying on Kane whilst Amari was driving and Khalani was on the phone.
"Imani, please don't leave me, hold on for me baby", Kane said to my body. Was I dead?
"I'm sorry", he added. I could hear them but I couldn't touch them. I wanted to hug Kane and tell him that I was here, I didn't leave him.
"Kane!!" I shouted, but still no response.
"Kane!!" I repeated, and still no one could hear me, it was torture.
I then saw Kane carrying my body into a hospital, from there everything went dark again. I couldn't see nor hear anything. I scram out for Kane and my siblings, but then I suddenly couldn't hear my voice, like screaming under water. It was all silent. I felt a cold air brush across my shoulders and I felt myself getting sucked into something, as if I was getting sucked into a black hole, I had no control over my body.
Everything stopped and I could feel the warmth of my body, I could hear sounds as well. A beeping sound echoing around the room I was in and the sound of metal clicking. A few more beeps, then there were no more. "We're loosing her", I heard someone say, before there were no sounds again.
From what felt like 2 minutes of silence, I could hear the beeping sound again, and the sounds of people talking. I felt myself move and I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't, it was like they were glued to each other. I tried to move my body, but it felt like I was tied up. I tried to open my eyes again but they were not budging, so I gave up and decided to let my body rest, falling into a deep sleep.
As I was sleeping, the images of when I was being tortured, replayed in my head over and over. I tried to wake up to stop them from continuing, but I couldn't. No matter how hard I tried, it was torture after torture.
