(Harmony's) POV:
While fighting against Xemnas, I notice that he's a lot tougher than I thought he'd be. It honestly makes me glad to know that I unlocked my Final Form, because I seem to be on equal strength against him. It wasn't an easy task, having to fight him, but in the end, I somehow managed to beat him. Xemnas laid on the floor, no longer having the energy to keep fighting.
But instead of fading away like the others, he used what was left of his strength and disappeared. Not used to how much energy it takes to be in my Final Form, I revert back to my regular clothes. I then hear a familiar voice.
"Harmony! Where are you?"
I instantly recognize that voice to belong to my sister.
(3rd) POV:
Meanwhile with all of Harmony's friends, they try to find her, worried about what might've happened to her after she disappeared from their sight all of a sudden.
"Harmony!" Asch calls out.
"Harmony, answer me!" Riku exclaims.
A space rift appears, and throws Harmony to the ground, which makes the others notice.
(Harmony's) POV:
I felt my face land against the hard floor. When I carefully get up, I notice my father and all of my friends, proving that I made it back. Chibi and Kuro both let out happy barks, rubbing their heads against me, while Stitch jumps in my arms and gives me a hug, relieved to know that I'm all right.
"You're okay!" the King exclaims.
"Are you all right?" my father asks, obviously worried.
"Yeah, but where's Xemnas?" I ask.
After his ears twitch a little, Stitch quickly climbs onto my shoulder and points up at the sky, making the others and I look up to see Xemnas right in front of Kingdom Hearts.
"Hear me, Kingdom Hearts! It seems we must begin anew. Ah, but know this: I will give to you as many hearts as it takes. Mark my words! You can no more be complete without me than I without you," Xemnas declares. "Heed me, Kingdom Hearts! Lend me your power, so that we may be complete! The power to erase the fools that hinder us."
"Xemnas! No!" the King cries out.
"Hearts quivering with hatred..." Xemnas says, ignoring the King.
Whatever hearts were left in this world suddenly get drawn to Kingdom Hearts, as though Xemnas is having it suck all of them back up.
"Oh, no! The hearts...!" Luke exclaims with worry.
"Xemnas! Don't!" Sora exclaims.
"Hearts burning with rage..."
"You can't do this!" Madison yells.
"You'll never win!" Donald declares.
"Hearts scarred by envy..." Xemnas continues to ignore our pleas. "That fool Ansem said the heart's true nature was beyond his understanding. But it's not beyond mine! Hearts are the source of all power!"
"Something's happening to Kingdom Hearts!" my father exclaims, noticing a change going on from it.
"Kingdom Hearts, great heart of all hearts! Lend me your power!!" Xemnas exclaims.
"Xemnas! Please, stop!" I plead.
A bright light comes from Kingdom Hearts, nearly blinding me and the others. Once it's gone, we see that Xemnas is nowhere to be found.
"He's gone!" Hijikata exclaims.
"Xemnas! You can't hide from us!" Sora yells.
"We're not gonna let him get away now!" the King declares.
"But where do we even start to look?" Heisuke asks.
"Look at that!" Chizuru exclaims.
In front of Kingdom Hearts, we see a giant gate appear.
"What's goin' on?" Goofy asks.
"That gate..." I say.
"It looks a lot like the one we saw when we fought against Xehanort's Heartless," Madison says, already guessing what I was thinking.
"Kingdom Hearts..." the King answers.
"That's Kingdom Hearts?" Harada asks.
"Let's go. Xemnas must be inside," says Riku.
"The worlds must've given us this doorway. They want us to be the guardians of their destiny!" my father declares.
"Once we go through, there's no turning back. It's victory...or oblivion. So, Harmony...are you ready?" Riku asks.
I give him a serious look. "I was born in Hollow Bastion, but I grew up on the islands. To me, both places are my home. And the people I met in the worlds I've been to are my friends. If we don't do this now, more people are going to wind up getting hurt. To go through what we have, I don't want for that to happen to anyone. So, yeah, I'm ready."
The others all smile at my answer. Sora, Riku, Madison, my father, the King, and I all group together. We then use our Keyblades to open Kingdom Hearts' gates.
I take a deep breath to calm myself. "Well, it's now or never."
"Oh! Wait a minute! Not you, Kairi, Chizuru!" Sora exclaims.
"You want us to wait here?" Chizuru asks.
"Not a chance!" my sister exclaims.
"There's no telling what could happen to you two in there!" Sora argues.
"That goes for you too, Sora!!" my sister counters.
"Rikuuu! Hijikataaa! Say something to them!" Sora pleads.
"It'd probably be better to take them with us," says Hijikata.
Riku nods his head in agreement. "We'll all go."
"Whaaa!?" Sora questions.
"Including Madison and Harmony, Kairi might actually be the toughest one of us," Riku points out.
"The girls in our group do seem like it," Saito says.
"And Chizuru may look innocent, but she's a lot more stubborn than she looks," Okita says.
"Besides, even if Xemnas is the only one left, we won't have to worry about him kidnapping her or Kairi again," Nagakura points out.
"Huuuh!?" Sora questions, surprised that everyone is against him.
"Is that a no?" I ask.
"Well, I mean..." Sora tries to say, looking a little deflated.
"A year ago, we all got separated...This time, we'll all go together," says Riku.
"We can't afford to split up now, not when the five of us have finally found each other again, right?" Madison asks.
Eventually, Sora officially gives in. "Fine! But don't say I didn't warn you!"
When we all passed through the gates, it was almost like stepping into a different universe, one that Xemnas had created through the use of Kingdom Hearts' power. In the distance, there is a fortress with the Nobody's insignia on it, and a white dragon coiled around the fortress. And at the top of the fortress is Xemnas. I can tell; I can sense his presence of darkness coming from there.
"So...it seems your hearts have led you to obliteration," we all hear Xemnas say. "Perhaps it doesn't pay to be too loyal to one's heart. I will have to be sure and remember that."
It might be because he now holds some of Kingdom Hearts' power, but Xemnas hurls a building in our direction. Since the only path to go is back through Kingdom Hearts' gates, we head towards it, trying to avoid getting hit by the building. When the building crashed onto the floor, the vibration it created made us lose our footing. The only ones who made it out of Kingdom Hearts are Kairi, Chizuru, the King, my father, and Amaterasu.
"No!" Riku exclaims as Kingdom Hearts' gates closes, separating the rest of us from them.
"Dad!" I call out.
"Your Majesty!" Donald exclaims.
"Kairi!" Sora exclaims.
"Chizuru!" Hijikata calls out, worried.
"They're stuck outside the door..." says Goofy.
"Doesn't look like we've got any other choice. We'll have to take him out on our own!" Asch exclaims.
We all then get ready to fight. Seeing how this wouldn't be an easy task, I decide to change into my Final Form. And a good thing, too, because Xemnas sends more buildings in our direction. I easily cut down the buildings into pieces, clearing a path for me and my friends.
"Look up there!" Mieu exclaims.
We all take a look to see a bunch of hearts heading to where Xemnas is. "He's still gathering more hearts..." says Luke.
"We have to stop him before he can get any more!" I exclaim.
We ended up overcoming many challenges to reach Xemnas. It wasn't an easy task, but somehow, we managed to get to where he is. However, he ended up taking a completely different form, completely covered in metal, while sitting on a throne.
"You are a persistent lot," Xemnas says. "If you want to disappear that badly, I'll be happy to oblige."
Xemnas then hurls a bunch of attacks at us which aren't easy to avoid. I manage to block one of them, but become shocked with what I see.
"That weapon!" I exclaim, recognizing it to be one of Axel's chakrams.
"Face them. Face the unquenched thirst for battle of those who have returned to the void!" Xemnas exclaims, summoning Xaldin's spears.
"Unquenched thirst for battle, my ass!" Madison yells, dodging one of Xaldin's spears.
"You're just using them!" I exclaim, barely blocking one of the spears.
"And why not?" Xemnas asks, not the least bit bothered as he summons Xigbar's guns. The guns then fire projectiles at us, giving me and my friends some serious damage. We received so much damage that we ended up collapsing onto the floor. "The power of the weak exists to feed the strong. You too may become my strength," no longer able to take this, I ignore my injuries and get back on my feet. Judging by Xemnas' next words, my actions seem to impress him. "Oh-ho. You're still moving?"
"Xemnas...You're so wrong...about everything...However, there is one thing...that we can agree on..." I manage to say, ignoring the pain from my wounds. Not willing to give up, either, my friends also get back on their own feet, standing right by my side. "Hearts are the source of all power! And I'm going to show you...the strength, including the ones from all of our friends, inside all of our hearts!"
I'm not sure how, but I felt a surge of power inside of me, one that I am very familiar with. It's the same power I used when we defeated Xehanort's Heartless; my power as the 8th princess.
My friends all become either surprised or impressed with my appearance.
"That form!" Asch exclaims, recognizing my appearance.
"Is that...Harmony?" Heisuke asks.
"She's finally able to use her powers willingly now!" Madison exclaims with a smile.
Xemnas hurls more attacks at us, using the power of the people we defeated from the Organization. But I easily manage to block or avoid each attack, getting closer and closer to Xemnas. Once I'm close enough, I deliver him the final blow. My power seems to be a lot stronger than I thought, because I was able to destroy the armor he was wearing, making Xemnas appear in his original form.
I then use my power to send us, including Xemnas, back to Kairi and the others, atop the highest tower in the Organization's castle. There, Xemnas is down on his knees, too spent to continue fighting.
"I need...more rage...I need more...hearts..." Xemnas says.
I sigh. "Xemnas. There's more to a heart than just anger or hate. It's full of all kinds of feelings. You even said so yourself that there was someone you once loved, right? Don't you remember what that feeling was like?"
"Unfortunately...I don't," Xemnas answers. "She is...an awful lot like you...Rose..."
With that, Xemnas' body completely fades away, proving that we won. After changing out of my current form and back into my regular clothes, I smile at everyone, while everyone smiles back at me. Kairi then hugs me and Sora all of a sudden.
"You're okay! I'm so glad!" Kairi exclaims.
"C-C'mon, Kairi!" Sora exclaims, stuttering a little, blushing in embarrassment.
"Sorry for worrying you," I say.
"None of you are hurt anywhere, are you?" Chizuru asks, worried.
"Nothing more than a few scrapes and bruises," Hijikata answers.
"Well, done," my father congratulates.
"Gosh, you all did great!" the King exclaims.
"Aww...Now I miss Daisy!" Donald exclaims.
"Here's hoping she doesn't try to kill you like last time," says Okita, obviously referring to when we first met Daisy.
"Now that the Organization is defeated, all that's left is for us is to go home, right?" Luke asks.
Asch nods his head. "Yeah."
While the rest of us are looking forward to finally be going home, Madison and Riku are the only ones who walk away from the rest of us.
"Madison! Riku!" I call out. When they don't stop, I grab their hands, making them stop in their tracks. "Where are you both going? Aren't you coming back with us?"
"We can't...go back with you guys," Madison answers with her back turned towards me, making my eyes widen.
"We had given in to the darkness," Riku points out.
"But...why? Didn't we all agree that we'd go home together?" I ask.
"Our life on the island was ruined...and it was all my fault...! How'm I gonna face everyone?" Riku asks, looking deeply worried as he turns around to face me.
"Like this!" Sora exclaims, making a silly face.
While Riku laughs, Madison tries to hold in her laughs. After getting over her laughter, Madison starts to become sad.
"But...Harmony, I ran away from the islands a long time ago when we were little kids, remember?" Madison asks, still unsure. "I...I'm not even sure if my step-father even wants to see me anymore. He probably hates me for what I did."
"That's not true. Sure, after you left, the mayor was worried about you. He was devastated. But he never got mad at you for what happened. If anything, he thought that it was his fault you ran away, for not being the father you deserved," I say.
"It's true. Once in a while, he even makes sure to clean your old room, so that it looks just like how you left it," says Kairi. "He would even place a birthday gift in your room every year, so that you'd have something to look forward to when you returned."
"Even though you two aren't related, he never stopped loving you. He's missed you every single day and wants to see you again. What about you? Don't you want to see him again, too?" I ask.
Unable to hold it in anymore, Madison starts to cry. "O-Of course I do! I don't care that we're not related. To me, he and my step-mom--They loved me more than my own birth parents ever did. And that's more than enough!"
"So, what do you say we go home, and you can greet him with a big smile on your face?" I ask.
Madison wipes her tears and nods her head, smiling.
I smile back. "There. Just like that. That's how you two are going to face everyone."
"Yeah! I like those faces!" Kairi exclaims.
"Madison and Riku look better smiling together, rather than keeping a straight face," Sora says.
Our words cause both Riku and Madison to blush like crazy.
"You guys..." Madison begins to say.
"You're gonna pay for that when we get back!" Riku exclaims.
The situation causes us to laugh together. Most of our friends join in on the laughter, while Asch, Hijikata, Saito and my father are the only ones who smile. Our happiness is short-lived, however, when we feel the whole place shake.
"What's going on!?" Harada questions.
"This world was created by Xemnas and the other members of the Organization's power. Defeating them all must've made this world no longer stable to be in any longer," Madison explains. "But that's not the worst part."
"What's the worst part?" Saito asks.
"This world was made too close to darkness. If we don't get out of here now, we'll all be plunged into the Realm of Darkness ourselves, without any hope of getting back!" Madison answers.
"Then let us leave, now!" my father exclaims.
"Hurry!" the King urges.
"I'll open a path!" Riku declares. He holds his hand out, but nothing happens. "I can't open a Dark Corridor..."
"You don't belong in the dark realm anymore, Riku. You did it..." the King congratulates.
"Well, that's great and all, but we need to leave this place!" Nagakura exclaims.
"Madison?" Mieu asks, looking hopeful at her.
"It won't work for me, either. When I earned my Keyblade, I became unable to open any Dark Corridors, too," Madison explains.
"How do we get out of here, Your Majesty?" Donald asks.
"...Beats me..." the King answers calmly, not the least bit worried.
"YOUR MAJESTY!" my friends and I exclaim in sync, surprised and wondering how he can be so calm at a time like this.
Suddenly, I feel a presence behind us. It belongs in darkness, but it doesn't seem evil in the slightest, and somehow...familiar. I turn around to see a blonde girl who looks to be the same age as me. She looks vaguely see-through.
And I'm not sure why, but I feel like I've met her somewhere before. She looked at us for a moment, then opens a Corridor of Darkness. This takes the others and I by surprise.
"Your Majesty, look! A way out!" Donald exclaims, noticing the Corridor of Darkness. He and the King rush up to it. "Who did this?"
At this I become confused.
Can none of them see her, or is it all in my head?
"Welp, I'm not sure, but I'm glad they did!" the King answers. "We better hurry and--Whoa!?" all of a sudden, from out of nowhere, a familiar yellow dog appears, which happens to be none other than Pluto. "Pluto! How long have you been here!?" Pluto's ears perk up as he focuses his attention on the Dark Corridor. "Hmm? Is somebody in there?"
Instead of an answer, Pluto jumps into the Corridor of Darkness.
"Wait for me!" Goofy calls out, following after Pluto.
"We must go, now," says my father.
The King then goes in next with my dad. "Come on, fellas! Hurry!"
"Your Majesty! Let's go, everybody! C'mon!" Donald exclaims, going in next.
Once Donald disappears into the Corridor of Darkness, that blonde girls appears in front of it, which causes Chibi and Kuro to let out happy barks at her as they wag their tails.
"Huh? Who are you?" Heisuke asks.
"Are you the one who made that Dark Corridor?" Harada asks.
The girl nods her head. "I'm glad I made it in time."
Kairi smiles. "Thank you, Namine."
Namine smiles. "Sure."
Mine and most of my friends' eyes widen at the mention of that name. I mean, back when some of the others and I woke up from our one year nap, the name Namine was mentioned in Jiminy's Journal. Knowing this, I can't help but wonder if this really is the same Namine who helped me get my memories back.
"We can see through you..." Chizuru says, looking worried.
Namine nods her head, taking a good look at herself. "...Uh-huh. It's time for me to go back now," she then looks straight at me and Sora. "See? We meet again, like we promised."
"Huh?" Sora and I ask, confused.
Before either of us can say anything, we hear a voice. "Definitely," one voice says, one I recognize to be Harmonyx.
"You said we'd meet again, but when we did, we might not recognize each other," another voice says, belonging to Roxas.
Right at that moment, Harmonyx and Roxas both appear, coming from me and Sora. However, instead of the black coats they wore, they are dressed in normal clothes. Instead of former members of the Organization, their clothes make them look like a normal pair of teenagers.
"I did, didn't I?" Namine asks.
"But we knew you," Harmonyx says.
"Mmm...It's strange," says Namine.
"I think I understand. I see myself the way you and Roxas remember me. Roxas sees himself the way we remember him. And you see yourself the way we remember you," says Harmonyx.
"I always thought Nobodies were doomed to fade back into darkness..." Namine says.
"Yeah, but we didn't. We got to meet our original selves," Roxas says.
"We didn't disappear. We're whole..." says Harmonyx.
"So, we can be together again!" Namine exclaims with a smile.
Roxas and Harmonyx then stand next to Namine. "Right," says Roxas.
"Anytime Harmony, Sora and Kairi are together," Harmonyx says.
Harmonyx smiles at me, and I smile back at her. "For sure," I say.
"We'll be together every day. Right, Sora?" Kairi asks.
Sora blushes at her words. "Uh...yeah!"
Harmonyx, Roxas and Namine smile at us. Kairi then walks forward a little, and holds her hand out to Namine. When Namine clasps her hand with Kairi, a gentle light surrounds them. Sora and I both become surprised when we see Namine disappear, just like that.
"It's good to have you...Namine," says my sister.
"Look sharp!" Roxas exclaims, looking at Sora.
Sora straightens himself. Like with Namine, a gentle glow surrounds Roxas' body as he goes back inside of Sora. Sora becomes shocked, probably confused on what happened.
"Don't worry. You're all still you," Riku reassures.
"Look after Xamira for me, would you?" Harmonyx asks, facing me.
I nod my head, then remember something. "Wait!" I dig into one of my pockets and take out the necklace Axel asked me to hang onto. "Axel meant to give this to you."
Harmonyx stares at the necklace, looking sad, then smiles. "Thank you. But could you keep it in my place? With the way I am now, I no longer have a physical form to grasp it with. Could you do that for me? Please?"
Trying to hold in my sadness, I nod my head. Satisfied with my answer, Harmonyx's body then gives off a gentle light as she disappears, returning to being inside of me.
"Harmonyx..." I say, feeling bad that she had to return to me like this, and wasn't once given a choice on what to do with her life.
Madison takes notice and places a hand on my shoulder. "I know it's hard. But she asked you those favors for a reason, right? You can't replace Harmonyx, despite the fact that she's your Nobody, that much is true. But you can try to experience many things in her place, right? Sure, she returned to being inside of you, but I don't think that means her conscious has disappeared. So, why not give her the chance to see the world through your eyes?"
I put some thought into Madison's words, taking them to heart. After a moment or two, I realize that she's right. If Harmonyx wasn't given the choice on how to live her life, then I'll just have to help give her the experience for her. She has been inside of me ever since I woke up, and still has a mind of her own, which does give her the opportunity to see everything that I see.
I'm not sure what I can do, but I'll give it my best. Knowing that, I place the necklace back in one of my pockets and smile at Madison, letting her know that I've taken her advice to heart.
