Part 9 (Vicky is practically helping me write this haha so credit to her)
I screamed so loud when I saw I was next to Adam, I sat up getting out of the bed fast as Charlie shot up falling out of his bed with a loud thud an Adam sat up looking at me concerned
A- what's wrong?! did you have a bad dream???
I shock my head no still trying to wrap my head on how the fuck I got here
D- h-how did I get here?! I f-f-ell asleep i-in class
I saw Charlie get up with a groan as he stood up looking at me
C- he carried you here you dummyy, you fell asleep and we got dismissed so we were able to sleep until we have the game
I looked at Adam with blush formed on my cheeks
D- oh uh thank you.. sorry for waking you both
he chuckled before standing up stretching before looking at the clock
A- we have the game in like 3 hours, didn't you tell the team we were gonna go exercise before Charlie?
C- yeah so we all should get going
we all nodded an I put my hair in a pony tail before following the boys out, we made it to the field an the team was already there
De- nice of you guys to finally join us, fall in.
we listened an got into positions before starting to stretch, we did this for almost 15 mins before Goldberg started to complain
G- I saw mutiny whose with me?
Dw- Goldberg I'm too tired for mutiny!
J- come on guys it's not like we can't use the conditioning
De- speak for yourself babe!
A- her names Julie not babe!
wait why was he getting upset over Dean calling her that? I could feel the jealousy forming. they started to fight an the team joined in, they all were just arguing with each other an shoving each other until this boys started trash talking us. which lead us to where we are now, we are playing street puck with this guy named Russ an his friends. we were all having a blast laughing an teaching each other new shots, but the fun had to come to the end when it was time to get to the rink. when we were about to get on the bus I grabbed Adam's hand interlocking our fingers not saying a word, I'm sure my face was showing it all. we took a seat on the bus an I looked out the window still not realsing his hand
A- D, you okay? you are holding my hand pretty tight
I let go of it slightly still not speaking as his eyebrows frowned
A- is everything okay??
I just nodded not saying as we pulled up to the arena, not letting go of his hand I practically dragged him into the locker room before letting go and getting into my gear. I was on the ice first with Charlie, the game had started an Ms. McKay was coaching since Bombay didn't show, I was just on the ice when we heard what sounded like a duck call? I looked over seeing Bombay walking down the stairs an to the bench, he called us over but we didn't move
Gu- come on guys, what do we have to lose?
F- respect, he'll dump us the minute it's all over!
I couldn't help but agree with Fulton but we had no choice but to listen, we skated over an looked at Bombay. I honestly had nothing to say to him
B- look I know what I did was harsh, I shouldn't have said or did what i did! if you guys can give me another chance an let me prove to you that we can win this.. if not than we can forfeit this game an head on home..
sadly for me everyone agreed for him to coach us making me roll my eyes, an the game went on. we ended up beating the other team of course but I got 2 petalites an now that puts us in the finals which is against Iceland in 2 days giving us tomorrow to practice. everyone had left the locker room but me, well I thought everyone did. I walked out of the showers in my spanks an a shirt with my sneakers on when I saw Adam wrapping his wrist
D- so you lied.
he jumped slightly looking at me with wide eyes as he put the wrap back in his bag
A- D it's just a little sore
I decided to let go of everything that happened earlier because this was more important
D- okay if it's only sore
I walked over to my locker an grabbed my stick holding it out for him to take, so he did. I had him try to rotate it but he immediately dropped it with a tear falling down his face
D- Adam.. we are gonna have to tell coach
A- no! you can't he will bench me!
D- Banks, I don't need to hurting yourself more! you can permentaley damage it to the point where you won't ever be able to play hockey again
he sat on the bench so I sat next to him facing him
A- but my dad he's counting on me
I sighed holding onto his hands making him look at me
D- I understand how you feel..
A- you do?
I nodded before continuing
D- growing up all I ever wanted to do was make my father proud, he is in the military so he is never around but I still remember his face when he found out I lost one of my big games, it was a look of disappoint an angry. I never wanted to see that face again so I worked harder an harder making sure to never lose a game again, but one day I worked myself to hard and I ended up passing out on the ice due to lack of sleep, hungry and hydration.
he nodded as I took a breath
D- I know how important it is to you on making your father proud but if he can see how hard you work an that you aren't always going to win than he would be proud..
he nodded as I wiped away his tears that had falling before kissing his forehead
A- w-what was that for?
I shrugged my shoulders
D- I don't know, I just felt like it
my heart was racing a million miles a hour, why did I do that?!
