𝐈𝐯𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭
"Okay, first is the amazing breakfast, then we're for lunch, then we're all going for a movi-" Ares cuts me off when he grabs my waist and pulls me down onto his lap causing me to let out a small gasp.
"I think I like my option better" he whispers and a blush makes it's way to my cheeks when his arms wrap around my waist. We're in his office and anyone could walk in any time to see me on their boss's lap. About a few hours ago I convinced Ares to let me come to work with him again, so here I am.
"What's your option?" I ask as his chin rests on my shoulder, "A date" he whispers again and the heat on my cheek gets way worse as it spreads to my neck when he places a small kiss on it.
But before I could say anything the door swings open as Seb and Nico walk in. Nico immediately groans seeing me but I smile when theres a small smile on his lips.
"it's Olly's birthday, say Happy birthday" I demand as Seb snorts. "I said it this morning, and gave him a little gift. How was the cake?" he asks as I know Ares glares at him.
"Happy birthday, Olly" Nico smirks and when Ares goes to say something to him I pinch his arm but know it doesn't hurt him.
"Why you always dressed like that?" I ask looking at Nico's black leather jacket with a white shirt under and some...Red paint splattered on it? Why's he playing with red paint? Weirdo, anyways. Black jeans with small rips on his knees and his dark brown hair messy like Ares's.
"What do you two want?" Ares asks tightening his grip on me when I try to get up as he changes the topic, "There's a new prisoner tha-" I cut Seb's yapping off with an eye roll.
"Boring, let's all go out for lunch. I'm hungry" I offer as Nico raises an eyebrow and Seb smirks looking at Ares behind me for some reason. I hear Ares sigh as he rests his forehead on my shoulder.
"We're going out for some fucking lunch"
I smile and let out a small laugh before getting up and looking at Nico, "Dude, you should probably change your shirt. There's paint like all over it" I say as a smirk stretches across his lips.
"It's not paint gorgeous" he says, wha-it's blood babes.
My eyes widen as I look between Nico who's smirking at me, Seb who's shaking from quiet laughter and Ares who's glaring at Nico smirking at me.
"Why is there blood on your shirt?" I ask carefully as Seb chuckles and Nico's smirk widens, but before he could answer Ares talks "Get changed and meet us outside"
The two guys nod as I glare at Nico, I bet he's some murderer. Where's D?
"yeah, meet us outside" I glare at the two chuckling like evil giggle girls at me. That's what Imma call them. The giggle girls.
Seb stands straight before bowing, my eyebrows furrow as Nico rolls his eyes and Ares pulls me closer. "Yes Ma'am" he says before shoving him and Nico out of the room. But Nico doesn't forget to give me the kind middle finger.
So rude.

"Can we go see D tomorrow?" I ask leaning against Ares's chest, He lets out a small chuckle leaning back in his chair. I spin us a bit and life my legs on top of his desk crossing my anckles. Boss woman.
"Ivy, you realize that Dawson is a assassin, a killer that hates everyone. Right?" he asks and I gasp dramatically before elbowing him lightly. "We're like besties Olly"
And I don't give him a chance to talk again before I look at him over my shoulder and kiss his lips lightly, I pull away from his soft lips and he raises an eyebrow at me. "How long do you think it would take Nico to change?" I ask as a smirk pulls at his lips. "Why? Wanna do something?" he asks trailing his hands up my thighs. Knew this skirt was a bad choice.
What did he mean? Huh? Lik-oh. I feel heat rise to my cheeks when he stops at the hem of my skirt lightly grabbing my upper thighs. "I was-" he cuts me off with a small kiss to my neck. "the date, yes?" he asks quietly.
The heat spreads to my whole face as I nod slightly, "I mean if I don't get kidnapped again" I blurt before he freezes and sighs.
WHY? WOULD? YOU? SAY? THAT?
I HAVE NO IDEA.
I let out a small snort, "I thought it was pretty funny Ares" I shake a bit from controlled laughter. "My fucking weirdo" he mutters before grabbing my thighs and pulling my legs off his desk. He slides his hands up to my waist as butterflies storm my stomach when he lifts me off his lap and onto the floor like I weigh nothing at all.
"If someone tries looking up your skirt again i'm shooting them" Ares grumbles as I let out a small giggle. When we walked in here there was this dude that tired looking up my skirt at mamma's goodies but Ares punched the shit outta him. It was funny, I was laughing and Seb and Nico had to pull him off the poor man.
"I mean it" he adds interlocking our fingers. I smile and move closer to him before hugging his arm and he grabs his phone. I look at mine, now. I think I should totally not make him carry all my stuff.
I take my phone and stuff it into his hands as he rolls his eyes tucking it into his pocket and he picks up my 4 hair ties. Aye, I fling them around the room when I get . "What do I do with these?" he asks holding the colorful scrunchies in his hands. I grin before letting go of his arm and grabbing the pale yellow one to match my hoodie and pull up my dark hair.
Why did I wear a skirt in the middle of December? No idea. The black skirt just looked so good with my sweater shirt and the boots were so pretty. Ares said I would freeze to death but also told me I looked amazing.

But before I could tie up my hair Ares grabs the scrunchies and kisses my cheek. "Your hair looks pretty when It's down" he whispers and I blush, of course. I get an evil idea in my head so the blush disappears . "So all the other times my hair looks ugly?"
He freezes and his eyes widen, "No-I didn't mean. I mean it always-" he stops talking and glares at me when I snort at the really really whipped man.
He rolls his eyes grabbing all my scrunchies and stuffing them in his pocket before grabbing my hand again and we both walk towards the door as I laugh. Gosh, so cute.
I walk beside him again hugging his arm cause I know he won't say it but I know he loves it.
We walk out and the smile on my face immediately falls when I see someone holding a knife, I don't know why the knife is in their hands or anything but my mind goes back to the knife in Xander's hands. When he-My eyes dip and go to the bandage on my hand.
I gulp and hold onto Ares tighter, at this moment my mind goes right back to the whole situation. My own blood hurting me, the blood that was everywhere, how they hit me, the people that died because of me.
I've tried so many damn times just to forget that the whole incident ever happened, but I can't. I keep trying, I've been trying this whole time to just ignore everything but small little things remind me of it.
And that is so damn tough. Maybe if I ignore it, act like everything is fine that it will actually be fine? Fucking hell, so many acts up. So much acting, Wearing clothes that cover my stretch marks so they don't disgust Ares like they did with mom. Trying my damn best to keep quiet, not to attract attention, and just dumb shit like that.
Why the hell did this happen to me? Why did Xander have to act like he loved me, like he actually cared.

I'm thankfully pulled out of my thoughts when Ares moves his arm and wraps it around my waist pulling me into his body, "What's wrong baby?" he asks softly as we keep walking out.
We walk out the doors and the cool air of Italy hits me causing me to slide my arms inside his blazer and hug him. I look up at him and give him the fake smile cause I can't muster up a real one as I talk. "Nothing."
He narrows his eyes at me and I look away from him, god I hate lying. I hate everything at this point.
I hear him sigh as he pulls me into a side hug, "Please, please no fake smiling Ivy." he whispers and I feel my heart melt. How does he always know? He's a mind reader, I swear.
But before I could lie yet again I hear Seb yell across the parking lot. "IVY AND ARES SITTING IN A TREE-"
