Anirudh is going restless inside. He need to talk to his father. He closed his book and got up. On reaching near his father's room he heard some discussion. He stopped and placed his ear lightly on the door. A discussion was going on between kaka and his father.
"Dekho Binoy woh tumhara beta hain..."
"Beta hain isliye keya haar galti maaf kar du... usne jo kiya hain uske liye mera reputaion akdam niche gir geya hain.. apka paya hain business main kitna loss hua apko malum hain?!"
"Per Court ke woh baizzat bali hoke aya hain..."
"Per sabko yeh bhi malum hain ki Anirudh dosi hain... sirf uske senior ke karan man bachi nehi to...."
Binoy saw a shadow on the door. He moved towards the door slowly and opened it. Anirudh was shocked. Binoy looked into his eyes fiercely. Anirudh gulped.
"Wah ab darwaje ke piche chupke baro ki batain sunna bhi suru kar diya hain?!"
"Nehi ... baba... woh... woh main apse baat karne ay raha tha... to... to kaka ki awaj suni isliye... isliye..... ruk geya...." Anirudh replied in a low tone lowering his head.
Binoy dragged him inside the room and made him stand infront of kaka.
"Dekhiye apke ladle bhatije ki halkate.... ek hum hain isliye ise itne galtiyo ke baujut bhi maaf karte ay rahe hain... koi aur baap hota to kab ka tyag deta aise nalayak bete ko..."
The words hit hard inside Anirudh. He just kept his head low and gulped it all.
"Keya keh rahe ho Binoy?! Bacche to galtiya karenge hi.. unhe sudhar na to hum baro ka hi kaam hain na!"
"Baccha nehi hain ab woh da... bohat bara ho chuka hain.... bohat asai rakhi thi maine isse.. London bhejke padhaya.. per dekho... ab to yahi accha hoga ki Anirudh yaha se chala jai.. baki do bete bhi hain mere.. unke upar iska asar na pare...."
Anirudh started breathing heavily...
Binoy adjusted his specs and left. Kaka looked at Anirudh who still is lowering his head.
"Beta Anirudh..." kaka patted on his shoulders. But Anirudh shook his hands off and ran away.
Anirudh went to his room and washed his face. Yes he's not a baby why will he cry. He'll leave... he'll not live here.. he'll built up his own world.. why will he cry like a child? He has responsibility of a child on himself only.
He went to Bondita's room. She was playing and taking with the dolls. He just looked at her. She's soo happy. If he really leaves with her will he be able to keep her happy? Anirudh shook his head. Why will not he be able to keep her happy? Of course he'll succeed. He always had to fight to get the right she deserved. He being a Roy Chowdhury actually didn't help anytime. He'll built up his own identity and make that identity the baseline for Bondita.
He entered the room.
"Bondita saman badh lo.. kal subsh hi hum Calcutta wapas ja rahe hain... "
"Itni jaldi keu?"
"Kaam hain mujhe Bondita.. tumhain waha ke school main bhi to dakhila karwana hain... "
"Per...."
Anirudh left. Bondita sensed something odd.
Anirudh went to his study and packed some of his medels and portraits. He pulled out a trunk. It had some old toys. Bondita approached from behind.
"Yeh keya nikal rahe ho aap?"
"Ohh.. Bondita... yeh mere bachpsn ke khilone hain... yeh car... aur yeh dekho.. ise khichne se yeh drum bohat jor se bajta hain.. ma ne mela se kharid diya tha mujhe.... Bondita main teh sab tumhain dena chahata hu..."
"Mujhe keu? Batuk ko keu nehi..."
Anirudh sighed... "woh Batuk hain na sab tod dega.. samhal nehi payega.. tum samhal paogi... inhe pack karlo..."
Bondita was confused "pack keu karu.. yahi rehne dijiye na..."
"Keu Bondita tumhain yeh khilone pasand nehi..?" Anirudh asked in an emotional tone..
"Nehi pasand to hain... accha main ek suitcase leke ati hu..
Anirudh sighed.. "dena to main Batuk ko hi chahata tha Bondita per... per mera nalayak saya unpe na pare to hi accha.."
Bondita got dressed next morning and arrived for the puja. After the arati Anirudh touched kaka's feet for his blessings and so did Bondita.
"R a Anirudh aise saj dhaj ke kaha...." he saw the suitcases behind... "kaha ja rahe ho?"
"Calcutta wapas ja raha hu kaka.. kaam suru karna hoga na... Bondita tanga bula liya hain... jara Bihari ko bolo suitcase utha dene ko..."
"Tanga keu.. gari to hain na?" Asked kaka. His heart is beating fast.
Bondita bid adieu to Batuk and Som.
"Aap kab wapas ayoge boudi?"
"Bohat jald hi aungi.."
She got up the tanga.
"Dada isbar jaldi wapas ayega..." demanded Batuk...
Anirudh got up the Tanga. Batuk hold the window of the tanga.
"Boliye na kab ayenge.?"
Anirudh took a deep breathe.. "jald hi aunga Batuk.. acche se padhai karna.. " he caressed Batuk's head and patted on Som's cheeks "apna kheyal rakhna.."
Anirudh's expressions didn't look good to Kaka. Anirudh is a very emotional boy. Why is his face looking so sad?
