Manik was talking to karan about sahin. "Bas ek weak point Mil jaye uska then I will have the win"
"Manik don't worry humare aadmi lagah hue hai" karan pats him on his shoulder.
"Then Nandini kahi bhi jaaye it won't be problem" manik says
Karan nods and was about to say something but Manik's phone started ringing. Manik takes his phone out of his pocket and looks at who was calling, it was naina.
Karan looks at his phone and sees Nainas name on it and suddenly his face lights up.
"Oh god, Bas Yeh apni behen ki tarah dimaag na khay" manik mumbles under his breath
"Naina dimag nahi khaati" karan instantly says hearing him, manik looks up at him furrowing his eyebrows
"Tujhe bada Pata hai Naina ke baare mein, what's going on" Manik asks
"Kuch nahi I was just saying ki Nandini jaise acchi hai I'm sure Naina bhi acchi hogi" karan tries to cover up
"Lekin dimaag toh dono khaate hai" manik says, karan giggles as manik picks up the call.
"Hello manik" Naina says as he answers the call
"Bolo" manik replies
"Itni der Kyu lagi phone uthane mein? I am trying to call Nandini di Lekin Woh phone nahi utha rahi hai" Naina says, Manik's expression changes
"Usse Kuch kaam hoga shayad" manik tells her
"No! You don't know manik, Nandini di kabhi mera call ignore nahi karti chahe Woh kitni bhi busy ho she picks up" Naina tells him which makes manik a little worried
"Uhm okay mein abhi neeche hu I'll go check phir I'll tell her to call you back" manik tells her
"Don't forget huh" Naina warns him
"Aur di se kehna ki mujhe jaldi call back kare"
"Aur Haan! Tell her that—"
"Agar Tum phone rakhongi toh mein dekh paonga na" manik cuts her off taunting her
"Fine fine go" Naina ends the call, karan shakes his head at him
"Kya keh rahi thi?" Karan raises his eyebrows
"Nothing she was saying Nandini is not picking up. Strange uhm mein dekh kar aata hu" Manik says, he quickly runs up to his room.
Manik unlocks the door but found it hard to open it, he felt like there was some weight pushing on to it. Manik slides a little through it and peaks in to the room, his eyes fall on the ground and he sees Nandini on the floor unconscious.
"Nandini" manik says, he pushes the door with a little force but making sure the door doesn't hit her as she was leaning against the door, he slides through and picks Nandini up and puts her on the bed.
"Nandini" Manik taps her waking her up, but Nandini was lying their unconscious
"Fuck man" manik says in frustration, he runs out of the room "karan call a doctor right now!" He shouts to karan who was standing downstairs
"Doctor? Kyu Kya hua? Is Nandini fine?" Karan worries too
"Just fucking call the doctor!" Manik shouts, ahana comes out of her room hearing manik.
"What happened?" Ahana asks but manik ignores her and rushes back to Nandini who was laying in the bed, ahana follows him
She looks at Nandini laying there and gets shocked "shittt Yeh Kya hua isko" Ahana gets worried
"I don't know she was—"
"Bas manik! You need to stop treating Nandini like that Yeh sab aapke wajah se hua hai, iski halat ki wajah aap ho.. Areh Nandini toh kitni acchi hai goli lagne ke baad aapka kitna khayal rakha, she had so many sleepless nights so that aap ko koi problem na ho" Ahana starts fuming over manik, he doesn't say anything and looks at Nandini
"Aap Kyu kar rahe ho esa uske saath, kamse kam Yeh toh dhyaan mein rakhiye ki usne aapki jaan bachaiye hai Kya iske badle you cant even let her go out and do soemrhing she loves" Ahana continues, manik takes a deep breath
"Tu nahi samajh rahi hai ahana, duniya bohot ki kharab hai bahar" manik says
"So what?! Iska Matlab yeh toh nahi ki hum ese ghar mein pade rahe, if you are worrying about her safety toh phir ghar mein reh kar bhi aap uski safety ka khayal nahi rakh paaye toh bhi Nandini bahar jaaye ya na how does it matter" Ahana replies back
"Apni hadh mein raho Ahana, you and Nandini don't bloody understand what's happening" manik looks at her
"We don't even want to understand, Lekin ek baar samajh mein aa rahi hai ki aap kabhi nahi badal sakte aap humesha rude aur selfish rahonge" Ahana blurts out which makes manik angry
"Ahana!" Manik shouts, but the door opens it was the doctor who came in with karan. Manik looks at Ahana with anger in his eyes which then she looks away, the doctor comes and starts checking Nandini.
Manik looks at the doctor anxiously waiting for him to tell him what's wrong.
The doctor removes his stethoscope and looks at them "she is weak. It's like ki Woh Kuch din se acche se khana nahi khaa rahi hai plus seems like she is going through some stress" the doctor tells them, Manik looks at Nandini, he wondered why she wasn't eating properly.
"What? I thought Nandini toh acche se khana khaati hai" Ahana says
"I don't think so, aap logon ko inka dhayan rakhna padega like make sure Woh khana acche se kha rahi hai warna she can develop eating disorder" the doctor advices, Manik started feeling guilty for misbehaving with her
"Of course, does she need any medicines?" Karan asks him
"No abhi ke liye Kuch nahi just take of her okay" the doctor smiles and stands up, he walks out and leaves. Karan and Ahana both look at manik then Nandini
"You guys go I will take care of her" manik suggests
"No mein yaha rahungi with Nandini, I can't trust you" Ahana spats, manik looks away trying to control his anger
Karan looks at manik who seemed visibly disturbed and pissed "Ahana manik is right, they will solve it and he will take care of her chalo"
Ahana gives in "fine" she says and walks out of the room, karan also leaves after giving manik a smile.
Manik looks at Nandini and knows she will be unconscious for a little while, so he quickly goes downstairs and heads straight in to the kitchen and starts preparing something for Nandini. He decides to make upma for her as that would be good for her.
Karan was walking past the kitchen but stops as he sees manik in there, he stops to look at manik who was really focused in his cooking, karan leans against the wall and watches him with a smile.
"Kabhi kisi ladki ke liye Itna nahi kiya jitna Nandini ke liye kar raha hai aur Woh bhi without even thinking twice whatever he says he has something that I can see" karan mumbles under his breath smiling at him. He then leaves from there as he had important work to do.
Manik finally finishes and takes the plate upstairs in his room where Nandini started to open her eyes, he quickly goes to her.
"how are you feeling?" manik holds her hand trying to help her sit up, but Nandini jerks his hand away in anger. Manik moves back knowing she was angry at him and he knew exactly why.
"I made this for you, thoda kha lo" manik says, Nandini looks at him scrunching her face
"No!" Nandini replies.
Manik tried to keep his patience "you need to eat, doctor ne kaha hai Tum abhi behosh ho gayi thi"
"So what?! Why do you care.. Mein maru ya jiyu Tum toh Waise bhi mujhe lock karke chale gaye the all you do is hurt me" Nandini says which makes manik guilty from inside but he does not show it on his face.
"Shut up! Tum Sahi mein bohot bolti ho" manik puts the plate on the side table making Nandini scoot over as he sits next to her, Nandini crosses her arms and turns her face around pouting and making an angry expression
"Look Maine bohot mehnaat se banaya hai, you can't waste my time like that" manik says to her and grabs the plate and digs the spoon in upma.
"Haan Toh? Maine pehle kabhi tumari baat maani hai jo aaj manugi ppft" Nandini says turning her head around facing him.
"Fine have it your way again Tum mere liye koi option nahi chodhti" manik says
"Yeh accha hai ki pehle hurt karo phir aake—" manik shoves the spoon full of upma in Nandini's mouth as she opens her mouth to speak, Nandini puts her hand on her mouth gulping down the food, her expression changes tasting the upma she was amazed at how good it tasted, when karan said manik is fantastic cook he wasn't wrong.
"Accha laga na?" Manik asks her
"Haa—no!" Nandini switches up "yeh tumari zabardasti acchi nahi lagi"
"Then why do you tempt me" manik looks at her
"You are forcing me ki mein hospital na jao, I want to go I love my job I love working in the hospital what is your problem" Nandini confronts him
"You wont understand"
"Then try to make me understand" Nandini replies instantly
Manik hesitates to reply to her, Nandini shakes her head at him "koi jawab bhi nahi hai tumare paas"
"Mujhe nahi lagta ki I need to justify everything to you"
"Yes you do manik, jab baat Meri ho toh yes you do" Nandini tells him
"Chup chap khana Khao" manik ignores her, Nandini takes a deep breath
"Fine mat batao Lekin I will find out" Nandini warns him.
"Hmmm" manik nods to that and digs another spoon feeding her again, which Nandini doesn't stop him this time as she was liking it too, she could clearly see in his eyes that he cared for her even though he did not say it.
'God Yeh ladka Itna difficult Kyu hai, I can clearly see he cares Lekin gussa toh dikhana hi hai but jo bhi reason ho I will find out'
As Nandini was eating her phone started ringing, she leaned a little to grab it and looks at it, it was from her hospital where she worked it.
Nandini looks at manik, he was looking at her phone but did not stop her, she picked up the phone. "Hello"
"Hello doctor Nandini, please help us humara baccha Woh mahi bachenge" she hears a women crying,
Nandini starts to worry "Aap kon bol rahi hai what's wrong"
"Humara baccha aap ko yaad hai we came last month. he will die please aap only you can save him" she cries
"Okay okay aap please aas pass koi doctor ho toh unko phone dijiye" Nandini says, manik looks at her confused
One of the doctor takes the phone "yes Nandini"
"Mujhe aap bataiye ki what's the problem" Nandini asks
"Unka beta jo last month aaya tha, and you helped them he has had a heart failure surgery is possible but it's very difficult we need you here otherwise it's not possible" the doctor says, Nandini got worried.
"I will be there do not worry" Nandini says and immediately gets up without thinking.
"What's wrong" Manik asks her
"Dekho manik aaj mat roko, that boy he can lose his life please mujhe jaane do I need to go"
"Okay" manik says but Nandini doesn't hear and continues blabbering "no please you don't understand Woh baccha mar jayenga, I will do anything you say aaj mujhe jaane do please—" she continues to speak, manik furrows his eyebrows
"Nandini I said okay" manik says
"H—Haan? You said okay what!" Nandini was happy
"Yes but I'm coming with you let's go" manik says and grabs his keys
"What why? Tumari koi zaroorat nahi hai waha pe"Nandini tells him
"Lekin tumhe hai so shut up let's go" manik says
"I can't leave you alone I can't give them any chance" manik whispers looking at her, Nandini didn't hear it.
Both of them go to Manik's car, as he drives her to the hospital, they reach hospital in no time as manik was driving fast which Nandini didn't mind for the first time. Nandini quickly gets out of the car and rushes in the hospital as manik follows her.
As the staff see Nandini coming in they tell the doctors who go to Nandini.
"Accha hua aap aa gayi, patient is critical" the doctor says, nandini was worried.
"By the way congratulations we heard you got married" one of the doctor says and looks at manik and Nandini.
"Let's not waste time, surgery immediately start karte hai" Nandini suggests
They nod "we have prepared everything, just were waiting for you"
Nandini looks at manik "you can wait here or in the car up to you Lekin surgery mein time lagega"
"I will wait outside your surgery room" manik says, Nandini doesn't argue they all head up to the surgery room floor.
The parents run to Nandini "dr Nandini" the mother of the child hugs Nandini, she hugs her back consoling her
"Un logon ne Kaha you are married aap nahi aaongi, you are on a holiday" the mother cries, the father walks and stands tjere. Manik was standing behind
"Esa ho sakta hai Kya kabhi? I promised you guys so what vacaction huh" Nandini tries to console them
"Humare bacche ko aap save kar longi na?" The father asks Nandini
"Don't worry, Woh thik ho jayega.. he will be able to run again, have fun aur school bhi jaa sakta hai like other kids" Nandini holds the mothers hand, manik looks down.
"God bless you" they say to Nandini, as the mum hugs Nandini again
"Please dont, Ab mein jaati hu and I hope I come out with good news theek hai" nandini breaks the hug
"Aap log please jaiye get some fresh air okay" she smiles at them "please"
The parents hesitate but they walk to get some fresh air, Nandini walks inside the room as manik looks at her go then looks at the parents who were hell worried.
Nandini sees the boy unconscious, he was given anaesthesia already. After studies his reports she decides to perform the surgery.
"Keep the records of his heart beats" she tells one of the nurses, Nandini takes a deep breath remembering his parents faces who were really worried, she holds the scalpel and starts the surgery.
Manik was sitting outside the surgery room, he was shaking his leg and looking around.
"Are you dr Nandini's husband?" The boys parents ask manik
"Yes" manik replies looking up to them
"You are very lucky, dr Nandini bohot acchi hai Woh kudh ke pehle dusro ko rakhti hai she's different" the mother talks to manik
"She is" manik agrees
"You know mera beta pehle se bimaar rehta hai, but we are not financially stable Lekin dr Nandini ne bina soche she willingly offered to pay for his medicines his surgeries warna Ab tak toh we would have lost hope" she narrates to manik, who looks away nodding.
He looks down thinking about her, everything about her set her aside her from everyone, till now manik had only met people who were selfish but after seeing Nandini and how selfless she was he was taken back and was attracted to her, he felt different around her and he could not run away from those feelings.

After around 3 to 4 hours of surgery, Nandini walked out of the surgery room she was exhausted and tired as she put her hands on her head.
"Dr Nandini is here" the mother jumps up instantly and runs to her with her husband following them.
"Congratulations you both" Nandini smiles and hugs the mother, she felt relieved hearing Nandini's words and a huge smile formed on her face. Manik stands up, Nandini looks up at him.
"Woh thik hai aur Kuch hi dino mein he will be completely fine" Nandini smiles, manik was relieved as well
"Thank you so much" the mother cries holding Nandini's hand
"Are kaisi baat kare rahe ho, don't thank me your son is strong" Nandini smiles
"Okay now aap log please relax kijiye, go get some fresh air Kuch kha lijiye as soon as he wakes up we will tell you" Nandini says, they nod happily and walk off.
Nandini's eyes fall on manik, she was smiling widely and walks near him and gives him a hug which surprises him, manik doesn't react and soon Nandini breaks the hug and holds his hand "thank you very much, he is fine now!" Nandini was so happy that she didn't realise that she hugged him
Manik looks at her hand on his and then eyes her "I thought you hated me"
Nandini realises and looks at her hand on his, she quickly moves it away "karti toh hu, but tumare iss nakli dikhawe se"
"What do you mean" Manik raises her eyebrows
"Tum mein acchai hai, I don't know why you don't show it Kyu Tum ese bante ho like you don't care about anyone but you do" Nandini looks at him
"No im not, mein Accha nahi hu apna dimaag zyada mat lagao mere peeche" manik replies coldly to her
Nandini sighs "I will need to stay back for a few more hours, to check his reports and stuff"
"Okay toh mein bhi yahi hu" manik says
"Tum ese mere peeche Kyu ghum raha hu" Nandini asks
"Tumare peeche nahi tumare saath, and I told you this earlier I don't need to give you any bloody explanations" manik says, Nandini rolls her eyes
"Have you eaten?" He asks out of no where
"No! What?! Surgery mein Kaise khaa sakte hai" Nandini shakes her head
"Okay, I will get us food pehle Tum Kuch kha lo warna phir se behosh ho jaongi and you will blame me" manik taunts
"Fine, jao mere cabin mein wait karo mein reports dekh kar aati hu" she tells him, he nods and leaves to go to her cabin, he already knew where her cabin was.
Nandini goes back and looks at the report signing them and checking on others things too.
Manik on the other hand enters Nandini's cabin, it smelt so nice in there with so many flowers everywhere. He looked at her desk which had a photo of her, Naina and Aditya and her parents and next to it was another photo frame of her and myrah.
As manik was about to pick up the photo to look at it his hands knock off some files which were on the desk and the papers fall out from it as well
"Dammit" he says, he bends down to pick it up but his eyes stop on something, it was a paper, a report which said 'Ahana Malhotra' on it. Manik leaves the rest and picks that paper up curiously.
"Ahana ke reports? For what" manik mumbles, he reads the papers carefully and his expression changes to angry and shocked.
He stands up holding that specific paper "what the fuck! Ahana is pregnant" manik gets angry, he looks up scrunching the paper in his hands bur stops as he hears the door crack open.
He turns around to see Nandini there "Areh yeh sab—"
"Ahana is pregnant?!" Manik asks cutting her off he was fuming in anger, she was shocked hearing that he has found out she notices the paper he was holding and realises he must've found out from there.
"Shit" Nandini presses her lips together as she knew there was no stopping to Manik's anger today.
