There was a fish shaped hole in the middle of the yellow room which's floor looks oddly like a cat. Reminds me of my fish wife, Sally. Wilbur reminisced a role of his from a school play. Why'd he had a fish wife? No one knows, the whole crowd was confused. Did that stop them? No.

Wilbur hummed, wondering what he has to do. Not really much in the room, so he decides to explore the room to the right. There, he was met by some sort of storage room filled with boxes, old sculptures and the like. He walked around, in search for anything that would can be a clue on how to solve the fish thing 'cause if he is trapped here, he needs to get out fast. As if on cue a loud splat was heard followed by the flickering of the lights.

The creepy atmosphere was not helping.

And to fuck him up some more, as he passed by a row of states, he hears a something scratch on the floor behind him. He turned around and immediately felt his heart drop. One of the statues had moved forward.

Wilbur let out a nervous chuckle. "There is no way. That's too cliché," he tried to convince himself, but to no avail, the statue kept moving towards him. He backed away slowly, trying to find something to hit the statue with, but before he could even get his hands on anything, the statue fell over by itself.

It cracked by the head and spilled..."A wooden fish tail?" Wilbur questioned. He frowned before looking around. This must be some sort of joke. He thought, trying to look for any cameras recording him or something, but he found none.

Frustrated, he picked up the wooden fish tail and got out of that room. He brought it over to the hole in the other room and found it to be a perfect fit. He then proceeded to the other room. It was filled with curtains. Odd. Wilbur thought, but then again, what's 'normal' anyway.

He walked over to the first curtain, and pulled it open. A little stick figure greeted him. "Hide and Seek?" It said before disappearing. "Oh for fucks sake," Wilbur grumbled as he looked around the room. Every wall was covered with a curtain and the likeliness of him getting the right curtain is very small.

Despite it all, Wilbur walked over to a random curtain, fully prepared to run and pulled it open. "You found me. You get a prize."

"Well, that was easy—Fucking hell!" Wilbur exclaimed when a loud thump came from nowhere. He walked up to the front of the room and found a Wooden Fish Head. He grabbed it from the floor and walked back to the previous room.

Wilbur placed the head key with the tail key inside the fish shaped hole. The hole disappeared and was instead replaced by a pathway. He sighed before heading up.

There he was meet by a painting and a warning. Beware of lips. It made no sense, but maybe he'll keep it in mind...never-mind, there was a pair of lips near the end of that hall. He walked further down the room and felt a pain to his shoulder. A shadowed hand connected to the walls grasp it tightly. WIlbur yelped, forcing his arm away from the hand. Wall. I forgot. He thought to himself as he watched his rose lose another petal. Shit. I need to find a vase soon.

Wilbur explored he room further and found two rooms, one of which was asking for some sort of number code. If he had known he'd be doing this, he would've just went to an escape room rather than a gallery. Maybe I can brute force this? He thought but decided that it'll be useless seeing as he needs to look for color coded numbers to fucking do math with.

"You know what, the other door looked more interesting anyway," he said to himself as he walked to the other end of the room, avoiding the hanging dolls in his way. When he reached the other door, he pushed it open to find...another door.

Oh and paintings.

Wilbur looked at the paintings descriptions. They were either telling him directions or are accusing each other of lying. He sighed, he isn't mentally prepared for this. Next field trip, he's staying home.

He read the descriptions of the eight painting over and over again before ultimately deciding which one was telling him the truth. It was the brown one. "Stand in front of the statue. East four steps, north two steps," he read.

"Statue huh," Wilbur wondered as he entered the next room, and true to instructions, there was a statue in the middle of the room. Wilbur stood in front of it, walked four steps to the east then two to the north and found a loose tile. He picked it up and flipped it around and found "4" written in blue.

He let out a breath, "One down."

Wilbur walked out of the room and back to the main one. He looked around for numbers, from the walls to the floors but found nothing. He tried the dolls, but by the time he got to the third doll, the next one fell to the floor. He picked it up and found another number on it, "18" written in green. "Last one," Wilbur said.

He walked back the entrance of the room, looking around when he noticed a frame he hasn't seen yet. It was blank white, with a smudge in the middle. Wait. Wilbur squinted and looked closer, it was no smudge, it was "9" in red.

Wilbur mentally cheered as he walked back to the coded door. He plugged in the numbers in the equation and solved it, ending up with number 166. He pushed the door opened  to end up in a room filled with trees. In the middle was a tree bearing an apple. He picked it off, expecting something to jump out, but there was nothing.

He stared at the apple for a bit. He was so sure this was an exit, but it's another dead end. What's he supposed to do with the apple? Eat i— The lips. He thought, immediately leaving the room.

He walked back to the random pair of lips plastered on the wall that he saw. "I'm hungry," it said. Reaching forward, Wilbur offered it the apple. He put the apple in the lip's mouth and it ate the apple. Moments later, the lips expanded, big enough to fit  a person.

"Am I supposed to...okay," Wilbur sighed, entering the mouth. This is fine. He thought.

He ended up at the other side and found paintings on the wall. Paintings of a guillotine going up and further up as he walked down the hall. A real one's gonna fucking drop on me, isn't it. He thought as he prepared himself to run once he reached the end of the hall.

As predicted, a real guillotine did in fact drop on him. Lucky for him, Wilbur tumbled down the flight of stairs, avoiding the sharp blade in the process. He groaned at the fall, rubbing his elbow. He shakily stood up and saw that he had apparently stumbled into a red hall with like one painting in it. Wilbur rolled his eyes and proceeded.

The next room looked really nice if it wasn't some sort of haunted shit that he had unfortunately fallen into. It was filled with paintings and sculptures, but his eyes were captivated by something else.

A door.

He reached for the doorknob, "Of course it's locked," he said. He looked around for a key and found one lying on the floor. "This is suspiciously easy," he said to himself as he picked up the red key, just in time for the painting to come to life. The lady in red, with her frame jumped off the wall making Wilbur yelp.

He scampered away as the painting clawed on the floor, trying its best to reach him. Wilbur didn't hesitate to run to the door, unlocking it and entering. He closed it immediately, back onto the door. He could feel thumping as the painting pounded on the door.

Once it calmed down, Wilbur released a relived sigh. He looked around the room. It was filled with bookcases which held books that he had no interest in reading so he skipped to the next room. He just wants to get home already.

Wilbur perked up when he saw a vase. He dipped his rose in it and waited until it regenerated a petal. Where do I go...He wondered as he eyed the two paths, one on his right and one on his left. Who can go wrong when you chose right am I right. He thought to himself, chuckling lightly. Oh god, he was tired.

As he walked, he was mentally preparing himself for another run in with a painting or a sculpture trying to crush him with a boulder or something.

Yet, he saw none. Instead, he was met by a someone down on the floor, not moving. They had pink hair which oddly reminded him of...

"TECHNO!"

Whoo! Happy Halloween everyone (pretty sure it's still the 31st somewhere lol)!

Cue nervous laughter. To those who's been waiting for an update for months now. Sorry about that, the fic went into an unexpected hiatus (so much so that I didn't expect it either). But seeing as it's Halloween,  my treat would be this chapter! We're getting out of that Hiatus baby!

Thanks for sticking around! It's gonna be easier to write the next chapters as there will be more than one character, so hopefully I can get another chapter out soon!

Thank you for reading! Comments and suggestions are appreciated.
