I wake up again to an annoying beeping sound "Beep, Beep", I already knew where I was. I opened my eyes and I was staring at the ceiling, blinded by the bright hospital light, I looked to the side and see Kane and Jin looking as if they had seen a ghost. I turn to my other side and see Khalani, still asleep looking peaceful and I shed a tear.
Why was she here, the last time I remember Naomi and I were the only ones who got shot. I hated seeing Khalani or Naomi hurt, so it broke my heart seeing her here laying in a hospital bed next to me.
Khalani then slowly opened her eyes, and I started crying even more because she's not dead, thank the heavens. She finally opens her eyes and looks at me, we're both crying but glad that we are both alive. She extends her hand and I hold it. "What happened to you, last time I checked only two of us were shot and you were not one of them.
"Yeah see after you blacked out I, kind of, maybe, I may have jumped in front of you to save your dumbass life".
"Ouch, really corny. This ain't some movie where you can just jump in front of people and try to save their ass and be the flipping hero".
"So that's the thank you I get for saving your life, you are a real bitch you know", we both start laughing.
"I learnt from the best bitch out there".
"I regret it".
As we are talking Jin comes rushing to Khalani and Kane comes rushing towards me. He grabs me gently and gives me a hug, then he kisses my forehead and whispers.
"I thought you said I should come back to you, but you decide to leave me".
"It was not my intension", I whisper back in a weak voice.
"Sure", he says sarcastically, I was going to argue back but I was to weak.
The doctor comes in and looks at me and Khalani and gives us a soft smile, before she says something that almost made my faint.
"Abbas sisters, how are you girls doing".
"What", Khalani and I say at the same time.
"Slow down doc, we are not siblings, we just happen to have the same surname", Khalani says.
"Yeah, my parents died 6 years ago", I said.
"No they didn't Ms. Abbas, I know this may come as a shock to you both but you guys are sisters, twin sister who were separated at birth", the doctor says. I feel my heart clench in pain and tears fall down my face. I look at Khalani who is also crying and in shock.
"Well I'll come back and explain the rest when y'all are calm", she gives us a small smile before looking at Kane and walking out.
"Sisters", I whisper as I look at Kane, who is now siting on a chair next to me and holding my hand.
"Geulaeyo, nae salang", Kane says softly.
"It can't be true can it?" Khalani says.
