"Let's get you into bed," I said to Leon who was watching something on his Ipad.
"But if I go to bed you're going to leave," he said and I jumped on his bed
"Kiddo we've talked about this already. Mommy has work to do" I said and he jumped onto the bed
"Let's make a deal," he said and I smiled
This kid is always making a deal with me
"As soon as your done with work you'll come straight back and then we'll go home," he said and I nod in agreement
"Words Mom"

"Mom?"
"Yes baby," I asked
"You remember that guy whose photo you throw knives at," he asked and I froze. He was talking about Leo.
Don't judge me but I do it when I'm feeling sad or angry.
"Sweetheart I can explain-'
"Mom please don't sugarcoat it. I can tell you hate him" he said and I sighed
"I saw him last night," he said and my eyes went to him so quick I thought they would roll out.
"What?"
"I saw him," he said and my heart was about to beat out of my chest.
"Baby you must be mistaken," I said and there was a knock
Dad wouldn't have him here if I was here
"We have to go now," Bryce said.

Looking back at Leon he smiled
"It's okay Mom as long as you promise to come back right after"
"I promise baby. If nothing happens to call me you know how to use your phone. Listen to your grandfather. No cursing...."
"Mom I know" he smiled and I got up.
I can't believe he's three
"You want me to tuck you in," I asked
"Yes please" he smiled
After tucking him in I placed a kiss on his forehead and walked to the door.
"Love you," I said before blowing him a kiss
"Love you too now go kick some..." Before he could finish I sent him a stern look
"Never mind. Bye Mommy" he grinned and I shook my head before leaving.
What am I going to do with him?
"I bet he was going to say go kick some butt" Bryce chuckled and I smiled
I hope he behaves while we're gone

"I hate myself for what I did," I said and Liam rolled his eyes
"It was for their own good. I wasn't going to let that girl weaken my son. The only reason they got married was because I owed you. You wanted her protected so Leo protected her. She killed the kid so she doesn't need protection anymore meaning she didn't need him anymore. They had to be separated. We did a good fucking thing, Sebastian"
"She had his son," I said and he rolled his eyes once more
"As far as Leo knows that kid isn't his and Bryce is the father," he said
"With the machine you've turned him into he's gonna kill you when he finds out"
"He won't find out because you're going to keep that little bastard away from him and two as soon as that little bitch gets back you'll send them on the first flight back to New York City"
"That bastard is your grandson and that bitch is my daughter"
"That girl is not your daughter and you know it and as long as they have Matteo's blood inside of them nothing to me Sebastian"
"Leave," I said while standing and he got up. Drinking what was left in his glass he left.
"If it isn't my number one mafia King," Dad said as he walked into my office
"Take a seat," I said while pointing at the chair and pushing a whiskey bottle and a glass toward me.
"You're making me proud son," he said after taking a seat.
Taking a drag from my cigarette I leaned back into my chair
"Look at you. You're stronger than ever and bethe st thing is you have no weaknesses. No one can stop you"
"I saw my son last night said and his eyes went wide.
"Your son?"
"Don't fuck with me old man" I said and he sat up in his chair
"Leo I can explain," he said
"How much did you lie about," I asked and he swallowed hard
"I did it for your own good Leo"
"Don't tell me shit. You don't know what's for my own fucking good. I decide what's good for myself" I yelled.
"You said she didn't want anything to do with me you fucking lied"
"Leo-"
"I went digging turns out the moment I left that night Sebastian had her on a plane, flying to New York. She didn't leave willingly. She didn't get back together with that guy. She was pregnant and you knew it was mine" I said.
"What did you tell her?" I asked while standing to my feet.
"Leo calm down"
"You better talk fast old man because I'm this close to snapping your fucking neck," I said showing him the thin space between my thumb and index finger
"I had Sebastian tell her you got married to Fiona. For all she knows you're married and living with your wife and daughter" he said and I placed the cigar into my ashtray.
"How did you get her to sign divorce papers?"
"Son..."
"Talk" I yelled
"Sebastian gave her the papers along with an edited recording of what you were saying about Fiona that night," he said

"Let her go, son she doesn't want you anymore, "Dad said and anger began boiling inside if me.
"You now have back Fiona forget about her" he adds
"I can't just let her go because I love her. And as for Fiona, I don't want to see her face again and if I see her again I'll fucking kill her. I don't care if she's the mother of my niece" I said in pure anger
"You don't love her Leo. Heck, you don't even know what love is son. You once said you loved Fiona so give me a reason why you can't be with her now that Liliana is gone" he said
"Well I know what love is now and I know her I love her. I love Liliana. As for Fiona, I don't want to be with her. You want a reason Dad I didn't love her nor do I care about her. I don't want to see her again. The only person I have love for is Liliana. Back then I didn't know what love is but now I know" I said.........

"I was recording you and I had Derek edit it to make it sound like you were talking about Liliana when you were really talking about Fiona"
"Then what?" I growled
"After she listened to it he forced her to sign the papers and told her that you would kill her if she returns to Italy," he said I picked the bottle from in front of him before throwing it across the room.
"If I don't get her back I'm going kill you both of you. Now get out" I yelled and he practically ran out of my office.
Grabbing another cigarette I lit it before sitting down. My breathing was heavy.
All this time I thought she didn't care. I thought she left me. When it was the complete opposite of what she did.
She now hates me because of the lies they told her.
I should have dug deeper into what I was been told I should have fought for her.
I can't believe they told her I would kill her.
She had my child and I wasn't even there.
I knew I said I hated kids but that was before I knew she had my kid. My son
I would have supported her one thousand percent.
But they took that from me
