I woke up thirsty.
What happened?
I saw a bright light as I slowly open my eyes? Am I not successful? Oh my g— Where's Jhoana?
I slowly made a scan of the whole place.
Where am I?
Then I saw someone's head on my bed. I felt at peace. I felt at home. I'm home.
I tried caressing her face. She looks very tired.
Someone went inside my room without knocking. I immediately closed my eyes and I see Deanna entering with foods.
"Dada wake up. It's been three days. We miss you already." Deanna
I slowly opened my eyes and signed her to be quiet.
Surprised was evident in her face.
"Shhhh. I need you to do something for me." Bea
"I think I should tell it to a doctor muna na you're awake." Deanna
"Wag ka magulo at wag kang maingay. I don't want to wake your Ate Jho." Bea
"Eh? Your doctor needs to know." Deanna
"Well can you tell her to be quiet when she enters? I don't want Jhoana to wake up and I need you to do something for me!" Bea
"Ano ba kasi yon?" Deanna
"Is Jema with you? Can you tell her to accompany Jhoana outside today? Bought her a nice dress. Use your card muna iwas suspicion! I'll pay you. Then I need you to run an errand for me." Bea
"Dada it's almost 6 in the evening." Deanna
"Malls still open until 10 come on please." Bea
"Fine. Now na ba? Eh what do you need pa ba?" Deanna
"I need you to call Ate Ly to help me too. Now for your turn I need you to go to Pandora tell them to give you the item that I ordered. Tell it that it's Bea De Leon's order. Get my id as proof." Bea
"Oh my god are you???" Deanna
"Be quiet! Your Ate Jho is very near lang oh." Bea
"Okay??? What's next? Actually Ate Ly is by the cafeteria. Ate DenDen gave birth yesterday!" Bea
"Really?" Bea
"Yep early deliver ng two weeks due to stress but the baby's normal naman. But Ate Denden is healthy. They were wishing nga na you'll wake up na so you can see their baby boy." Deanna
"Okay I'll see them tomorrow. About Ate Ly can you tell her to pull some strings I need a romantic place here? Maybe the rooftop? And can she help me to set up a romantic date night. Or maybe pull some strings to let me out and set up a date night on our place in antipolo." Bea
"We only got six hours oh my god, I should get moving. Wait I still need to tell it to your doctor." Deanna
"Oo na, just get your Ate Jho out here first." Bea
"Okay boss copy. You want me to call Thirdy and Marco to assist you too?" Deanna
"That would be great. Thank you Deanns." Bea

Deanna went out and minutes has passed and I pretended to sleep I heard Jema knocking.
Well atleast someone has a manner, kidding!
"Ate Jho! Gising! Come with me please!" Jema
Kawawa naman yung baby ko mukhang pagod na pagod pa.
"Ha bakit? Walang kasama si Bea dito" Jhoana
"Thirdy's on his way here. And Ate Ly's already outside. I got you covered. Please come with me. I'm gonna meet Deanna's parents tonight and I don't have a dress to wear. You know it's 911 and it's serious." Jema
"Sorry Ate Jhow biglaan kasi. Wag kang mag-alala kami bahala ni Ate Ly. We'll call you if she wakes up." Deanna
"Please Jho." Jema
"Alright fine you owe me. Teka bakit hindi na lang si Deanna isama mo?" Jhoana
"Wala yang alam sa dress! Tara na dali bago pa magsara ang mall." Jema
"Shuta ang yaman mo dai. Eto na maghihilamos lang saglit!" Jhoana
I can't help but smile how cute my fiancé is.
Ahhh God I cannot wait to marry her.
Buti na lang Deanna covered me so she didn't see that I smile while looking at her. Jema said Hi to me and say she got me.
I mouthed Thank you.
Thank you Lord i got friends.
Jhoana kissed me on my forehead before going out.
"I'll be back mahal okay? See you later. I love you." Jhoana
"Kailangan mo na din bumili ng damit Jho, para naman magandahan sayo si Bea pag nakita ka niya teh! Haggard mo dai! Let's go time for make over!" Jema
"Ang ingay mo tara na bago pa magbago isip ko!" Jhoana
As soon as Jhoana went outside I waited for five minutes before opening my eyes.
Ate Ly entered with Dra. Kim
"It's so nice to see you smiling Ms. Paras" Dra.Kim
"Ms. De Leon na lang po hehe." Bea
"Let me do some quick check up before you proceed with what you are planning." Dra. Kim
"Where's Dra. Lisa? Is she okay?" Bea
"Yeah she's okay. Don't worry about her she's strong like you." Dra. Kim
I smiled at her. Ganda ni Doc pero mas maganda fiancé ko.
After a quick check up. Dra. Kim cleared me tonight.
I just need a follow up check up tomorrow and no unnecessary activities. I have a nurse to accompany me.
I hugged Ate Ly as soon as I saw her. Quite teary eyes we have.
"Come on let's get you dressed. Tonight's a big night." Ate Ly
Deanna went out to get the package.
While Thirdy and Ate Ly assist me while Marco and Kuya Loel and also Bianca pulled their strings for what I need.
Well in Marco's case he can pull an all nighter catering. Thanks to her mom.
Now on Bianca and Kuya Loel's they can call someone to set up the place on Antipolo.
We got 5 hours max.
Thirdy brought the suit that I've been keeping for a long time. I've planned this way before.
A Michael Cinco's suit.
Everyone's busy.
Everyone knows. Except Jhoana.

Jhoana POV
It's almost 7 pm when we got inside the mall. Grabe ang traffic.
Itong kasama ko kanina pa aligaga. Sabagay meet the parents are the most nerve wracking you'll ever feel.
We went inside on different botiques pero wala pa siyang mapili.
Then a dress caught my eye. It's like love at first sight. It's simple pero mukhang elegant tingnan.
A cocktail white dress.
"Uy teh! Bagay sayo yan. Try mo dali I found a dress for me din." Jema
I immediately tried it on. Napakaganda kasi.
After a minute lumabas ako and wow this looks so nice on me.
"Uy Jhoana bagay sayo." Jema
"Teh bakit ka naman naluluha diyan?" Jhoana
"Tanga wala lang ang bagay kasi sayo. Bilhin na natin. Baka mawala pa." Jema
I look at the price tag and wow.
"Sis wag na pala ang mahal pala dito." Jhoana
"Tingin?" Jema
Nagulat din si Jema sa presyo tumawa na lang kami.
Lumabas na ako. While she pay for her dress may napili na daw siya.
I bought Lemonade kasi uhaw na ako ang tagal naman ni Jema.
I saw Deanna walking out of Pandora store.
"Oh my god??!" Jhoana
Is she gonna propose to Jema?? Oh shit!
"Jema let's go you need to be beautiful tonight." Jhoana
"Lagi na akong maganda no need, eto pala oh I bought you a gift." Jema
"Gaga ka ano yan?" Jhoana
"Basta! Buksan mo na lang. Then let's go home to your condo! I need to change and you need to ligo. Ligo ligo din girl!" Jema
Grabe I'm excited for Jema sana all!
Jema drive our way home. Miss ko na si Bea
"Sis sorry ah medyo natatagalan kang malayo kay Ate Bea. Bawi ako sayo mamaya huhu." Jema
"Ano ka ba? I need this din no. Thank you, and thank you din pala dito sa gift mo. Ano ba to?" Jhoana
"Mamaya check mo pagdating natin sa unit mo." Jema
Agad naman kaming bumaba ng parking. It's 9pm. We bought drive thru foods na lang.
"Bakit naman midnight kayo magmemeet?" Jhoana
"I really dont have any idea. Kadadating lang galing Davao ata yung Mom and Dad niya. They lived there and they have a business meeting in the morning kaya midnight lang sila available like pagbaba nila sa airport." Jema
Kumain muna kaming madali bago kami nagmake up sa sarili namin. Yes naligo na ako wag kayo mag alala.
I opened the paper bag and to my surprise
"Jema!!! Bakit mo binili to? Ang mahal mahal nito!" Jhoana
"Ano ba Jho, you've been through a lot and I think you need to treat yourself. It looks good on you. Wag ka mag alala. Maliit na bagay lang yan kumpara sa tinutulong mo sakin ngayon." Jema
"Di ko matatanggap to." Jhoana
"Teh nakakahiya magrefund, isuot mo na kasi." Jema
"Ihhh." Jhoana
"Ay ang arte ate gurl ha! Dali na! If you want you can accompany me to Antipolo para naman di ka maguilty diyan." Jema
"Eh walang kasama si Bea." Jhoana
"Ate Ly texted me Bea's fine pa din daw sis. Kalma everything's okay." Jema
Ay oo nga pala magpropropose si Deanna I should be there. Atleast mavideo and mapakita ko kay Bea when she wakes up.
We immediately finish our hair and make up. Konting retouch and mirror selfies before we go.
"This is it! Come on excited na ko!" Jhoana
"Teh? Anong nakakaexcite sa meet the parents?" Jema
"Gusto lang kitang makitang mangatog!" Jhoana
" ang sama ng ugali mo!" Jema
We laugh as we go down the basement parking.
Jema insisted that she drives baka pagod pa daw kasi ako.
"Jema idlip lang ako saglit ah. Paki gising na lang ako pag malapit na tayo." Jhoana
I felt the car slowing down, "We're here.." Jema
The place seems familiar tho.
"Where are you gonna meet them?" Jhoana
"Right there daw, Deanna's fetching us." Jema
"Kayo na lang, I need to go back to the hospital." Jhoana
"Ano ka ba? Let's go saglit lang to tas hahatid na kita don." Jema
"Eh? I'm shy di naman ako dapat kasama dito ih." Jhoana
"Shhh hush now, andiyan na bebe ko." Jema
"Dami mong alam!" Jhoana
"Hi Babe! Hi Ate Jho, ang ganda niyo." Deanna
"Sus bolera, dito na lang ako enjoy kayo don." Jhoana
"No ate, haha let's go you'll be fine there. Come on, someone's waiting for us." Deanna
We walked on the place and it's really familiar, I thinks this is our spot.
I was busy walking and I the both of them stopped from walking and put something in my eyes
"Huy ano to?" Jhoana
"Relax Miss Louisse! You'll see!" Jema
"Come on now hold my hand Ate, let's walk." Deanna
We stopped by after a minute of walk
"I'm happy for you Jhow." Jema
"I love you Mami Jhow." Deanna
"Uy anong kalokohan to." Jhoana
"You can remove that after you count to ten seconds." Jema
"Ten seconds Mami Jho, Ten seconds na lang." Deanna
I felt that they left me all alone in that place. I can see some lights but it's still blurry.

I removed the piece of hankerchief and I see a table set up at the overlooking.
This is our spot. A tear quickly left my eye.
I miss her.
"What's happening?" Jhoana
Araw Araw by Ben&Ben started playing.
Someone covered my eyes from behind.

I know this perfume. I hold the person's hand and... I know it too well.

I removed her hand and immediately hugged her.
"Paano?" Jhoana
"Shhh. Stop crying, everything's fine, I'm here. I will never leave you." Beatriz
I hug her real tight.
"I missed you." Jhoana
"I missed you too mahal." Beatriz
Beatriz POV
I kissed her forehead. This is it.
"Baby remember the time that I ignore for days because of Ged?" Beatriz
"Yeah that was so meaaan." Jhoana
"I'm sorry hahaha." Beatriz
"And what about it?" Jhoana
"From that moment I knew that I've fallen for you real hard. I tried suppressing my feelings and ignore you for days thinking that it might be just an affection but I was wrong. Jhoana Louisse, I'm sorry if I made you wait for five years. I'm sorry if we lost our love for all those years. Our memories and all. I'm sorry if I hurt you that time....." Beatriz
"Bea it's fine, what are you doing?" Jhoana
"Shhh let me finish." Beatriz
She laugh and it made my heart melt
"Everything's okay now, I cannot promise for us to be happy everyday but I promise to try and try to make you happy. I've been gone from you life for a long time and now that I am here. I need to fulfill my graduation gift to you. I know I'm six years late now. But maybe this is the right time." Beatriz
I bend down on on knee and she's surprised
"Jhoana Louisse Maraguinot, I want to make you happy, will you spend the rest of your life with me?" Beatriz
I show her the ring box that I asked for Deanna.
It was the ring that I was supposed to give it to her on graduation day.
She started crying and I am too.
"Of course! I do Beatriz, I want to be Mrs. De Leon!" Jhoana
I put the ring on her finger.
I heard our friends and family cheering and shouting for us!
Jhoana hugged me and I kissed her forehead!
Jhoana POV
I cannot believe my own eyes seeing this gorgeous woman in front of me.
And then I lose it when she got down on one knee.
She's proposing...
Oh my Beatriz how long have I waited for this day.
"Of course! I do Beatriz! I want to be Mrs. De Leon" Jhoana
Everything is so surreal.
We stayed hugging for a long time. God i missed her.

"Medically speaking, her heart may have not survive that bullet but i think she keep on fighting. But i hope this is not the surge." Jennie

"It's the last energy a patient gives before the worst." Denden

"They look very happy." Jennie

We approach them.
"Hello sorry for ruining the fun, but Miss Beatriz we need you to get back at the hospital for the labs. I'm sorry." Dra. Kim
"It's fine Doc, my fiancé is coming with me naman eh." Beatriz
"Kinikilig ako sa Fiancé, sorry mahal hahahaha." Beatriz
Everyone was laughing at Bea's reaction.
I really hope this is not the surge.

After that proposal, we immediately went back to the hospital. I really am thankful for this day.
Thirdy drive my car while we are in the back seat.
"Are you feeling well love?" Jhoana
"Yes mahal." Beatriz
"Dapat pala iba na lang nagdrive sa inyo, naiingit ako wala si Jules." Thirdy
"When will she come back ba?" Bea
"Two more freaking weeks." Thirdy
"Mabilis na yon. Hahahahahaha and ano ba let us be! It's been ages." Bea
"Oo nga boss, naiinggit lang ako gusto ko din ng bebe time." Thirdy
"You'll get yours too, soon!" Bea
We laugh lang all through out our trip back to the hospital.
"Love take a rest okay? Your heart need to rest." Jhoana
"Yes po mahal. Magpapagaling ako para we can get married na." Beatriz
"Let's focus on your recovery and then papakasalan kita kahit saan pang simbahan." Jhoana
"Will u pls stop making me kilig!" Beatriz
"Ang cute mo mahal. Hahahaha ganyan pala kiligin ang isang Bea De Leon." Jhoana
"We should sleep na mahal. Sleep beside me please." Beatriz
"Opo" Jhoana
She hugged me
Ahhh i missed cuddling with her
"Jho?" Beatriz
"Yes love?" Jhoana

Jhoana POV
I woke up early to prepare her breakfast. Even though it's just a delivery lang. Bawi ako kapag nakauwi na siya sa bahay.
The delivery came faster than I thought.
I came back to her room to wake her up.
"Good morning love, wakey wakey." Jhoana
I kissed her cheek to wake her up but she's not waking up.
"Hey mahal? Gising na po. It's time to eat breakfast and your meds too." Jhoana
"Beatriz, i'm not kidding, please wake up na po." Jhoana
"Mahal? Fiancé ko? Gumising ka please, hindi na nakakatuwa." Jhoana
I gently tapped her face but she's not waking up.
Ate Denden entered with Ate Ly and Dra.Kim
"Jho what's happening?" Denden
"She's not waking up Ate Den...." Jhoana
"This is what i am telling. Please Beatriz wake up...." Denden
"What do you mean?" Jhoana
"We think that last night was her surge." Dra. Kim
"Surge?" Jhoana
" It was uhmmm her last energy before the worst." Dra. Kim
"Uhm Jho, usually a terminally ill patient give their last energy before things gets worse. And seeing Beatriz not waking up right now seems like the result of a surge." Denden
"But it might not be right? She'll wake up pa diba? We were just happy last night." Jhoana
"We'll do everything Ms. Jho." Dra. Kim
They examined her for hours and she's still not waking up.
"Bea please come back again, please." Jhoana
I checked my phone and scrolled my photos seeing our pictures last night.
Then i stumbled upon a video.
I play it.
"Hi Love, uhmm i don't know if I'll wake up tomorrow but I just want you to know na mahal na mahal kita. I'll keep on fighting for my life mahal. I am so happy being your fiancé and I cannot wait to get out of this hospital and marry you. You look so precious while sleeping ngayon mahal. I made this video to remind you that I love you Jhoana Louise. Thank you for coming back to my life.
