Memories.

Your memories are the things you always hold onto. Even if they were happy, sad, funny, it didn't matter. They shape who you are, they are something you never want to lose.

But Jules wasn't given a choice. They were taken away against her will. But now she was here standing outside on her porch with Brett by her side while she rubbed her hands on her jeans due to the nerves. She had betrayed her friends, her family. She had believed Theo of all people.

"I don't even think they want to see me I mean...I didn't believe them, how could I." Jules starts as her breathing begins to get heavier. "How could I do that to them." She finishes in a whisper as she stares at her door while Brett grabbed her hand. "Jules none of this was your fault. Yeah you may have been on the wrong side for a bit, but that what matters is that you've remembered. Do you know what Scott said to me before you got your memories back? He told me to bring you back. Right now the only thing that matters to him is having his sister back." Brett says to Jules which makes her feel slightly better about the situation.

She took a deep breath before opening the door to see Scott and Melissa sitting at the dining table. Jules couldn't even get a word out as they both made their way to her and hugged her as tightly as they possibly could. Brett just stood by the dirt as he observed the family reunion which made him smile. It made him remember his own family. He remembered the way he would play with his Dad in their backyard while his Mom braided Loris hair. He remembered the way he would pick flowers and place them in Loris hair to make her feel like a princess.

But his silence didn't go unnoticed by Melissa, and she immediately grabbed his hand pulling him into the hug. Brett had his arms at his sides at first but after a few seconds he wrapped his arms around them. Jules could feel herself getting this warm feeling as they all hugged. "I'm sorry for not trusting you." Jules tells them as Melissa nods her head 'no' as she begins to cry. "It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter." Melissa says as she wipes her tears.

Scott wasn't one to cry but in this moment that seemed like all he was able to do. It had been such a long time since he was able to hug her and seeing her in front of him, knowing that she was back to her normal self couldn't have felt better. "Mom's right. It doesn't matter." He says as he looks at Jules which makes her smile brightly.

"All that matters is that we're a family again."

***

Even through all the shit they had been through Beacon Hills was still set to play against Devenford in the charity game. It had been such a long time since Jules had even held a lacrosse stick in her hand. She knew she would be a little rusty but right now all she could focus on was the way Brett was being interviewed by the local news station.

"We hear Devenford Prep and Beacon Hills have a long-standing rivalry." The interviewer asks Brett, making him laugh. "Devenford always plays to win, but especially when it's for charity." Brett answers her which makes Jules roll her eyes in the process. "And especially when 100% of the proceeds go to the winning team, isn't that right?" She asks him.

"Which is why we'll be 100% kicking Beacon Hills ass." He tells her which makes Jules want to scoff until she notices Mason and Corey walking up behind her, both of them having weird looks on their faces. "What's up with you two?" She asks them as they approach her. Both boys look at each other before looking opening their mouths to answer her.

"We think we know how to find the beast. Every time it shows up theres a frequency like when Liam and Hayden saw it the other night at the communication towers." Mason begins to explain to her. "I'm not following." She tells them making Mason roll his eyes. "The Beast always shows up near a transmission source. We think that's how the
Dread Doctors are doing it." Mason explains. "By broadcasting a high-frequency transmission." Jules says making the two boys smile.

"So we should be looking for some sort of transmission?" She asks them as they look behind her. "We don't have to look." Corey says while staring blankly at the news reporter. Seeing this Jules turns around to see Brett staring at the group of three, scrunching his eyebrows in confusion. "The local news always covers the game. There could be two, maybe three vans." Mason says as Brett begins to walk towards them.

"All of them transmitting."

"Are you saying that thing's going to be out there tonight?" Jules asks them as Brett finally reaches them. "I'm saying...people are going to die."

"A lot of people."

***

"Mason said it's not just to transmit a frequency. It's high powered. Like it has to be a really strong signal." Jules explains to the group as they sit in the school library. "And that's causing it to shift?" Kira asks her. "No. I don't think it's just that. Last night Argent said that it's getting smarter. What if the Dread Doctors are trying to make the Beast grow faster?" Scott answers instead, remembering how Parrish had been wondering around at night looking for the beast.

"With frequencies?"

"No, by shifting. The frequency is just the trigger. The important part is when it shifts into the werewolf." Scott says to them.

"Like Peter."

"Yeah, when Peter was an Alpha, he got stronger every full moon. Eventually, the burns healed and he was back to normal." Scott explains remarrying how dreadful his sophomore year had been because of Peter. "So the Dread Doctors don't want to wait for the full moon. They want the Beast to be as strong as possible, as fast as possible." Stiles finishes for him.

"Because of Parrish."

"So if this is happening tonight, what are we going to do?" Kira asks the group as she repeatedly flips up a page in her book by its corner. "Uh, we've got one clue to go on." Stiles says pulling out a photo of a bloody foot print. "This came from the hospital. Whoever's lurking inside the Beast is wearing a size 10 of indeterminate make."

"Indeterminate?"

"Means, it's a partial print. Basically, it was all we were able to get considering all the fire, blood and carnage." Stiles explains to them. "How many size 10s are out there?" Liam speaks up. "Only one with Parrish's blood on the sole." Scott answers him. "So are we going to try to get the game canceled?" Kira asks them. "No, no, we're going to play, but we're just going to hope really hard that it doesn't turn into a blood-soaked massacre." Stiles says as he runs his hands on his forehead while he walks around in an attempt to calm himself down.

"Okay, but, um...aren't we kind of missing out
on a chance to catch this thing?" Liam asks them in an obvious tone. "We don't have the "who," but we have the "where" and the "when." Liam finishes.

"There's too many people. And we still don't actually know if it's going to happen. It just might end up being a regular lacrosse game. It's possible, right?" Lydia says to them as looks of disbelief makes its way onto their faces. "That's absolutely possible."

"So we're still getting the game canceled?" Kira asks the group.

"We're getting the game canceled."

***

"Mason you know your part." Scott says as the pack gathers in an empty classroom with Brett and Lori being there as well. "Corey and I break into the
Devenford Bus and search their shoes." Mason tells him, reassuring Scott that he knew the plan. "While the game goes on I'll check peoples soles." Lori adds making Scott nod. "I take out the TV vans." Malia says to the group.

"Right before the whistle, Coach forfeits the game." Stiles finishes making Malia have a questioning look on her face. "Just out of curiosity...what if it doesn't work? What if we have to go up against this thing? I mean, I hate to bring up bad memories but Scott's still healing from what Theo did to him." Malia says to the group not seeing that Kira had begun to smile. "No, he's not." She says looking at Scott. "She's right. It happened the night we got Lydia out of Eichen House and Jules got her memories back. I healed. When were all together again, when we were a pack. The Beast doesn't have a pack. Not like us. We can do this, guys. No one dies tonight." Scott says to the group, leaving them a smiling mess.

The group soon begins to walk towards the field with Jules walking slowly behind the group. She was going so desperately inside that they didn't have to come face to face with the Beast. She didn't want to admit it but she was so utterly afraid. Not only because of the Beast but because of her abilities. Jules hadn't used her powers since that night at Eichen. She didn't even know if her eyes were still red. If she still had the same abilities or if they were even stronger or weaker.

But she couldn't even continue to think as players made their way into the field. "I thought Coach was gonna forfeit?" Jules asks Stiles. "Yeah well apparently the guy has never forfeited a game so...but it's fine Malias still gonna take out the Tv vans." Stiles says reassuring not only her but himself.

The game had soon started and it was obvious something was up with Kira. Not only had she been trying to get the ball but she was being very aggressive while doing it. She was pushing players out of the way left and right with no remorse. "That girl is damn serious about charity." She could hear Coach say as Kira scores.

"Kira, maybe you should ease up on the other players." Scott says grabbing her arm. "I'm trying to win." She retaliates. "But you didn't even have the ball." Scott argues with her making her turn back to the players that had ended up on the floor, writhing in pain because of her. "Stay out of my way." Kira says as her eyes flash orange for a second.

"Go with the back-up plan?" Stiles says as he and Jules approach Scott. "Go with the back-up plan." Scott says nodding to Jules, making her catch Bretts attention and nodding her head once to tell him to proceed with plan B. Scott had told her the night before about Kira's problems with her Kitsune side. She has been getting very aggressive and wasn't able to obtain full control and that was even dent on the field. Scott thought she had it under control until he saw her in the morning, using her lacrosse stick as a katana. They had planned for this just in case.

"Down...Set...!" The referee yells as Kira takes the ball running quickly to score. But Brett didn't let that happen as he knocked her to the floor making her let go of her stick. "Not so tough now, are you?" He says mocking her which makes her even angrier as she attempts to hit him back. "You! You're done. Get off the field!" The referee yells making Kira throw her stick on the ground and walk away. Scott turns to look at Lori who nods and begins following her inside the school.

"We're getting crushed." Liam says to Jules and Scott. "It's okay. All we need to do is give the others enough time. Like I said. No one's getting hurt." Scott says to the younger teens. "Except for us." Liam says as Jules notice a look of worry spread across Scott's face. "Kira..." He says as he runs into the school not even bothering to inform Jules and Liam on what he was going to do.

"We need more time. You got to stop scoring." Liam says as Brett makes his way towards them, walking alongside them. "You don't think I've been trying? You guys suck. You suck so bad, it's impossible to lose against you." Brett says making Jules punch him in the shoulder.

"Sorry."

"So what are we supposed to do?" Liam asks him. "Try not sucking." Brett says making Jules punch him again. "Okay okay, I'm sorry." He says rubbing his shoulder as Stiles runs up to them with a worried look on his face. "Something's wrong. I don't think Malia's got all the vans." Stiles informs them making Jules more nervous than she already was.

"Then we'll get her more time." Liam says to the group making Stiles laugh. "How the hell are we going to do that?" Stiles asks him. "We'll even up the score." Liam reassures him.

"Once again...how the hell are we going to do that?"

"Just get me the ball." Liam says as he smirks, walking to the field leaving both Jules and Stiles stunned as they both look at each other. The two of them tilting their heads to the side as they walk to the field again.

Liam had actually been scoring and the score was almost even. Liam had ended up on the floor due to a player knocking him down and Coach had ended up waking towards his direction. "Get up, idiot. We could win this thing." Coach says making Liam walk back to the middle of the field where Jules, Stiles and Brett were standing, waiting for the coach to ring his whistle.

But Liams attention shifted to something else. At first Jules turned to look where Liam had been looking but didn't see anything. But soon a tall monstrous beast made its way into her vision making her drop her stick as her mouth opens agape. She knew Liam wasn't gonna let this opportunity pass by and her thoughts were confirmed as Liam ran towards the beast.

Liam wanted to kill the beast.
