"Goodbye Xiumin " the voice echoing in my head.
I was shaking back and fourth from my bed with my eyes closed. I wake suddenly, every thought in high definition. My eyes take in every ray of light and without a doubt I know I've slept too long. The noises are of a day in full swing, traffic heavy. I'm dressed and fed in a fraction of the time it usually takes and leave without thought of taking a woollen hat or gloves.
I woke up from a dream. But it's wasn't technically a dream but my bad past memories from the my wanted to not remember past.The nightmare comes in visual puns and communicating in metaphor as the creative dreaming brain does, offering suggestions and seeking answers in return. For some nightmares are not the stuff of fiction nor open for interpretation, yet a reality that must be lived.
It had been 3 years after my graduation. 3 years after I said goodbye to Xiumin for good. I remember every detail of it at that everyday. The broken heart is still broken. The thought of the engagement still lingering in my head after so many years.
I got up looked at the time on my phone. I'm late I said and dashed to the bathroom to take a shower.
TEXT messages from Jaeho.
Jaeho : When are we going to plan our wedding.
Can he not. I hate him.
Reply: After the family meeting. I am heading there now. Don't tell me you forgot.
Jaeho: I didn't forgot.
The wedding is in 2 months and I am just have to bare with it. Let that sink in I said to myself. I just surrender at this point. But deep down I miss him dearly. I wonder what he been up too nowadays. I hope he's been well and doing OK.

Xiumin PoV
Exo dance practice.
"We have a fan sign with a special performance that we need to prepare for, everyone let's get started," Kai remarked, as everyone stood up.
"First, guys, follow me," he said as he began to dance.
We all followed him step by step from start to finish, but I'm having trouble remembering the steps. As I observe all of the members doing it, my confidence begins to dwindle.
"OK guys, let's take a break," Kai stated, exiting the practise room.
Why am I having trouble remembering the steps? This is aggravating, I remarked.
I was sitting alone in the corner, while the rest of my group was chatting about who knows what. I believe they are discussing how Baekhyun once came home drunk and attempted to kiss Chanyeol. That occurrence made them all laugh.
"Do you remember that, Baek?" Chanyeol stated, and Baekhyun said, "Yes, I do." They all continue to chuckle.
I was thinking about something else at the time. They all sat down close to me.
"Are you all right, Xiumin?" Baekhyun expressed concern.
"Yes, there is no need to be concerned," I said, seeming to be OK, but I am not.
"You don't appear to be fine. I understand what this is about "Suho replied, pointing to my face.
"It's about your wounded heart, right? It's about Soo Bin." Everyone else looked at us as he stated this.
"Don't tell me you didn't settle it years ago. I told Soo Bin to "Baekhyun stated.
"Yes, so how do you feel if the girl you like is marrying the guy she despises the most?" everyone falls silent and tears fall down.
"Suho I heard you're happy now with your girlfriend, So Ye... I think that's how you found out about this "I yelled.
"There there let it all out," Baekhyun said as he embraced me.
"We're back with beverages," Sehun remarked, holding cans of Coke with Lay beside him.
"Did we come back at the wrong time?" lay wondered.
"No, you weren't," Xiumin responded.
"Come on guys, let's speak about something else."
Thank goodness they arrived. I don't want to talk about her. She was my past. I can't keep dealing with my past. But deep down, I hope she's leaving well and okay wherever you are.

Soo Bin POV
"I'm sorry for being late," I said as I sat next to my parents.
Jaeho and his mom were sitting across from us.
"OK, let's start at the beginning," my father said, "what day should we have the wedding?"
"On April 25th," Jaeho's father stated.
"No on April 24th," my mother responded.
Then they began bickering amongst themselves. Not just on the dates, but on everything. I despise it here. In the first place, I don't want to be here. When I looked at Jaeho, he was distracted by his phone. I despise him as well.
"Do you have a say in this, Soo Bin?" my mother said, and I panicked and ran to my room without saying anything.

Next day
So Ye and I were discussing on a business proposal in a nice small cafe. For a few blissful seconds, the cafe's ambience, its homey perfume, sweeps my soul into its cocoon.
"I'm attempting to start a restaurant in this area. I simply require a location "As she sipped her coffee, I made a remark.
"I have fantastic news for you, Soo Bin," Ye announced.
"Anything is good news, you know," I responded as I noticed my parents sending a bridal gown in the family group chat.
"What do you mean you know?" She asked clueless.
"I mean the engagement remember " I stated.
"Oh, but remember you said you want to opened up a restaurant" She avoid the topic.
"Yes, you found a place" I said in excitement.
"Yes, it's in my neighbourhood you should take a look at it tomorrow we should meet up" she added.
" What yes! "I said happily.
"Yes, we should" I continued.
"I'm pleased you and Suho are back together; I'm happy for you," I added cheerfully.
"I am as well, and I hope you are happy and get out of that situation," she remarked.
"I really wish I could. It's not that simple "I responded.
"Oh no, I'm running late for work... For the time being, I'll see you when I see you "She waved goodbye and walked away.
"Bye," I returned the wave.

I was sitting on a bench at the bus stop, waiting for the bus to return home. I saw him. But not physically. He's on the sign at the building across the street from me. " Xiumin, you never change with that wonderful grin... to fulfill your dream," I murmured as I admired the sign.
It said, "World famous boy group just returned with a hit song growl."
I'm just glad he was able to pursue his dream of being an idol. I hope he is content with his decision to pursue his goal.
I'm pleased something wonderful has returned to my life. I eventually discovered a location where I could open my own restaurant without the assistance of my parents. This is because they have always controlled it throughout my life, and suddenly there is something they do not control, and I am thrilled.
