Y/N checked on the flower that Sapnap gave her at the coronation, finally going to draw it. She put it off for the last month nearly because of things she wanted to do and other things she wanted to see.
And now, the flower sat in front of Y/N, still in the vase, on the desk. Where she was mindlessly sketching the outline and petals. Which were now only 8.
She only stopped once Dream came in and stole her attention away from the drawing. It was alright, not as finished as she hoped from the last couple of hours, but alright.
Maybe tomorrow she could finish it.
The attention from him meant him asking her to go to the dock with him, and she of course said yes.
But things changed.
"Tubbo told everyone about you," Karl rambled with a smile, "And they all want to meet the new person on the lands." He continued his walk to the library, swinging his arms every step while Y/N trailed behind. "All Tubbo and Tommy have been talking about you- and now Techno and Phil want to see who you are as well! You are really popular 100 years in the future."
"Everyone?" She spoke with some concern, "I am not meeting- I don't know. 50 people."
"Come on," He rolled his eyes, "It won't be that bad- Foolish is going to meet you today and then tomorrow you can meet Ranboo or someone else and so on so forth." Karl opened the doors to the library, waiting for her to go first then stepping inside.
"What, so you are organising little meetings or whatever?" Y/N laughed.
"Yeah. Is that okay?" He asked.
"Sure, whatever. So Foolish first?" Y/N leaned herself on the table, both hands coming behind onto the surface to support herself.
"Yeah, since he's leaving the area tomorrow to get supplies." He explained, taking his magical watch out of the pocket of his colourful hoodie. "It was the only time he could-"
"Hey, I saw you both go in here." Dream interrupted him, opening the door and smiling at the girl. Karly slowly put the watch back in its place, like it was never there. "Are you ready to go?"
Y/N thought for a second before widening her eyes. "Oh wait- I'm sorry Karl. I'm going out with Dream today."
"Where are you two going?" He asked slowly, looking at Dream suspiciously.
"The docks." He answered, slowly walking to where Y/N is. "Why? What were you two going to do?"
"The docks," Karl repeated like his question didn't even exist. "In Manberg?"
"Mhm," She smiled, "We haven't been with each other since the coronation. Which was a month ago." Y/N explained, "I'm sorry, we can do it tomorrow?"
"Do what tomorrow?" Dream continued to ask. Karl went into full realization. Something clicked in his mind.
"No- It's fine. Go! They would understand. Have fun." Karl smiled way too joyfully for it to be normal, but she still said thank you and went to the dock with Dream. Who started to become nervous with every step they took.

The dock was beautiful at this time, and it being near to midnight, it felt magical. Y/N marvelled at the lights strung around the posts and the sight of tied down boats near the edge. Everything was great. Yet it led Y/N to confusion as to why the boy would bring her this late. With a look around the area, nothing was open. No shops or cafes. Everything was practically silent.
"Is there a reason you brought me down here?" Y/N asked slowly, eyes fixated on a lighthouse so far away you could only see the outline merge with the different islands that surrounded Dream's land. "I mean, it is really quiet."
"That's the reason. No one is down here this late except the occasional sailors coming back. So it's peaceful- one of the two peaceful places here." He explained, going to the edge on the wooden dock and going down to sit on the beaten up wood. The fairy lights did wonders on every aspect of what was happening. "Come sit."
Dream let his feet dangle off the side, barely skimming the blue water below, as Y/N came right next to him and copied his actions. "I used to come out here a lot when I was a kid, of course with a guard or else my father would've forbidden it." Dream explained, laughing slightly. "That's how I know how quiet it is if that was what you were wondering."
She looked at the water, how clear but the lightness of opaque looking as it kept going down. A far drop from the surface. You would have to swim for a while if you wanted to go to the bottom where most of the fishes and sea life would be. Where the prey hide from the predators and the predators hide from the humans.
She smiled. The water shimmered back.
He moved his legs to cross over each other, "You've been busy lately." Dream filled the comfortable silence between the two, "With Karl." The tone came from soft to a bit of malice. Y/N turned to him confused, and he just continued. "What have you guys been doing?"
Y/N widened her eyes. "Oh, I've just been helping around the library and sorting it with him. He has been needing help for a while now." She answered with a pre-written response,
"So you've just been- in the library?" He answered sceptically. Turning back from the water from his previous gaze at her, moving a bit to get comfortable on the impossible wood. She stayed silent. He backtracked. "I've looked in there a lot for you, and you never seem to be in there is all."
"Well, he does take me outside a bit for breaks. Must be unlucky timing." Her response was unreliable, she tried to pick a new one. "Oh! And he's been going to Phil's with me as well- y'know- Tommy, Wil, Techno, Tubbo, Phil? Their house?"
He didn't respond. But nodded numbly. "I trust you." Dream smiled, her smile only widened.
"I know you do. I trust you too,"
Silence fell over them yet again. She just looked at him and his continuous fidgeting. Trying to think why Karl let her go so quickly. And why he was so.. nervous, around her.
"Are you okay?" She asked slowly, he seemed to freeze up. "I've never seen you so fidgety."
The ocean splashed at them, wetting the bottom of her and his clothes. They didn't bother giving a reaction.
He ignored her question, switching it with his own. "So you were going to go down to the snowy area today? With Karl?"
Y/N stayed sceptical. "Yeah, just for an hour or so. I've been going down every day." She answered, one foot coming onto the wood while the other dangled off the side. The dim lights sparkled around them.
'Maybe he didn't hear.' Y/N thought, going to repeat herself. "Are you okay, Dream?"
"Yeah- I'm fine." He answered this time. "Perfect even."
'Okay. Now, this is weird.' Y/N spoke to herself, muttering an "Okay." Before looking back at the water.
The small silence continued.
"The waters nice." Y/N stared at it, murmuring her thoughts. "I've never really been around this part of the kingdom- so it's nice to just, be here. I guess."
He only nodded. A hand going into one of his side pockets on his pants. "It's getting a bit cold,-" She started again, "-do you want to go to the market and get some food or whatever?"
"Y/N," Dream spoke, silencing her immediately from going on a rant about the food she had tried with her friends.
"Oh, we can stay here if you want." She replied.
"No- Y/N. I.." Dream trailed off, turning back to look back at the girl beside him. "You... I- uh."
"What's wrong?" Concern hit her immediately. He could say anything right now. Dream could know about the whole time-travelling thing and banish her- break up with her on the spot. Maybe he knows already. That's why he was so interested in what she and Karl do so often.
"I'm going to just- talk. Okay?" He explained quickly, she nodded slowly in return.
"Y/N," He took a deep breath. Why was he so nervous? "At the start month where I met you, you were just another person trying to take anything and everything. But, as it continued you became one of my closest friends and then more than I could even fathom." He stood up, looking back at the water with a face. Like it was hard to even look at her. She did something- Of course, she did something. This is the only time they have been alone except sleeping, and now
'And now I know I was wrong and how you broke the time dimension and-' "And then you ran away." He continued, interrupting her thoughts. Making her listen, already thinking of an apology for him. Whatever she did, she wanted to correct. "That hurt a ton, like a part of me left. And had no thought of coming back."
"I- uh. The morning, of my wedding to Isabella. I just couldn't stop trying to find you, so everything was okay. And that part of me was back, and there to stay." Dream said, kicking a random small stone into one of the exposed lines of the dock. She watched it splash into the water, before looking back at him. "Don't get me wrong, everyone was trying and searching. George barely even made it to the reception because he was so focused. Which you know George- he would rather sleep than search in a cold, and dark forest." She laughed slightly.
"This is getting long- um." Dream laughed with her, reaching for her hand to pull her up with him. She complied. "And you came back- in the middle of that wedding. Which was probably the happiest time of my life." He smiled at her. Dream was happy. "And you should have seen Isabella's face- I never saw her so enraged before." He rambled an anxious ramble. "I nearly saw steam pour out her ears- her face was bright red. I'm not even kidding." But he caught himself. "Sorry, rambling. Anyway."
"You make me happy. Happier than ever, really. You make me.. me. I just, feel like myself around you- like I am not a king of a kingdom and I can just be Dream." He spoke, "And, I uh. Don't want this to leave, any time soon."
Wait. He isn't mad at her.
"Wait-" She interuppted, face wide. "You- You're not mad at me?"
Realization hit like a train, full force into her head. He wasn't mad. Dream didn't know.
"What- no. Of course not- why would I be mad?" He was confused, swaying with nerves.
Y/N took a step back. Her eyes were as big as saucers. "You-"
He was proposing. He was nervous because Dream was proposing.
Karl let her leave because Dream is proposing.
She let herself smile even more.
"Can I continue?" He asked with a small fake laugh.
"Yeah- Uh. Go ahead."
He cleared his throat.
"I love you so much. And I know, we talked about this- us. Going slower than the normal, royal-ish relationships. But, I need you by my side. So, Y/N L/N." He went down on one knee, a small black box came out of his pocket. The wave crashed against the sand around them at the same time as he opened it to show the engagement ring.
"Will you marry me?"
"Yes!" A tear slipped down her cheek, a sniffle was there to keep the tears at bay. "Yes! Yes of course I will."
The couple was overjoyed, he came up quickly with the biggest smile on his face, putting the ring on her finger lightly before kissing her softly. She lightly laughed into it, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him back.
They were happy.
Eyes watched in the silent area.
Eyes watched the two have their secluded time and happiness together. Alone.
Eyes watched from nearby bushes with anger.

I love you guys! so sorry about the late updates, funny enough I didn't write this one and the next one before. and I needed to write this perfect-ish little scene.
Here's some cat content since she is my child and I have more pictures of her on my phone then anything else;
She stayed up there for a solid 10 minutes, not even bothered when I walked around and got things ready so I can leave. Even full on layed down and took a little cat nap. And only jumped off when she heard my dad put food in her bowl.
Also she saw a squirrel through my bedroom window, that's what she seems so focused on.
Back to the actual writing, i love this. i think its great, maybe one of my best works. and its great with the angst coming soon, so roll around in the fluff all you want guys. this is my warning.
