~ grocery shopping ~
Third Person POV
It was a bright day during the mid-afternoon as Saitama and Alexis were finishing their weekly grocery shopping at the register.
But while Alexis was trying to get the money from her pocket, since Sai's suit didn't have pockets, the lights began to flicker on and off repeatedly.
Just as Alexis was about to get the correct amount of money our, she dropped a cent or two,
"Dang it," She mumbled with annoyance.
Lexi and Sai were picking up the change on the floor when very heavy footsteps where heard down the block, to which the couple was oblivious to.
"There's one by your boot, Sai."
"Got it, Lex."
Then they stood up to no one being in the store besides the two of them, and the lights shut off.
"Huh? Where did everyone go?" Sai asked. Alexis shrugged just as confused as he was but place the money on the counter for the lady once she returned.
All of a sudden, a massive foot crashes down and destroys the front half of the grocery store.
"Aw.. this was my favorite store." Alexis said sadly.
Saitama looked at his saddened wife and tightened his fist, but made sure he seemed no different. "Yeah, it reminded me of the one back home." He agreed with his usual monotone voice.
He sighed as he turned to his wife who only held her hand up with a smile, "It's okay Sai, I get it. Go."
Saitama smiled, "Actually, you can take this one. It'll be like practice for the Sports Festival. Plus, you have to start learning how to fight with this 'power'." He said with air quotes.
Alexis beamed brightly, "Really?!" Her husband smiled at the excitement she expressed with her eyes. "Yes, really."
Alexis squealed and she ripped her clothes revealing her hero suit underneath locked and loaded. But then she frowned, "I kinda liked that shirt."
Her frown was soon replaced with a serious look that scared Saitama a bit, "I'll be back." She said with a terrible Terminator impression.
She turned around and her smile returned as she made her way out of the rubble the giant caused.
Saitama was left in the destruction of the store and sighed heavily, "She'll be fine." He attempted to reassure himself.
He bent down and grabbed the groceries off the floor and made his way back home to the dormitory, "I should get noodles ready for when Lex gets back," He thought out loud to himself.
There were reporters and fallen pro-hero's all around said wife, who looked up to see the cause of all this chaos and mass destruction,"Whoa," Alexis whispered as she saw the giant walking around.
"Can anyone stop this monster?!" A reporter asked the camera, "Where is All Might?!" Another asked.
"Look! In the sky!"
"Is that-?"
"IT'S HAWKS!!"
The civilians cheered for the third best pro-hero, "Alright big guy why don't we take a time out." He suggested as his feathers pierced the back of its knee.
"No! Big brother!" A man in a lab coat on the giants shoulder shouted at the pro-hero, "Leave him alone! We are unstoppable!"
Hawks gritted his teeth together, "Why you-!"
"But does that bring you joy?" A melodic voice asked the giant as she stood on his opposite shoulder with her foot behind her ankle and her hands holding one another in front of her.
Alexis seemed nervous, this was her first fight and she wasn't sure how to approach, so she jumped in on the ongoing conversation.
"There is another hero alongside Hawks!" A reporter pointed out.
"Is that a new sidekick?" A civilian asked outwardly.
"Nah, Hawks doesn't do sidekicks."
"It's a girl?!"
The giant sighed, not really understanding that Alexis was a hero who was trying to stop him,
"No. It doesn't.." The giant stated as it looked down, a bit saddened at the realization.
Then he shook his head as if he snapped out of his trance, "Hey! Wait a minute!" He turned his head to Alexis who waved meekly.
"Get her off your shoulder brother!"
Hawks widened his eyes as he saw the giant nod his head and raise a hand over the seemingly oblivious amateur hero. "Get out of-!"
*SMACK*
*SQUISH*
That stupid meathead smacked the wrong shoulder, killing his younger brother in the end. "NO! BROTHER!" He cried loudly, shaking the nearby buildings and breaking windows.
Then the giant turned his head towards Alexis who smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry you're brother-"
She tried to apologize but then the monster roared with his head tilted back in sadness and rage.
"Hey! Newbie! Get out of here!" Hawks yelled as he flew over the giants shoulder.
Alexis only furrowed her brows and tilted her head in confusion, "Who are-?"
*SMACK*
Hawks reached forward and screamed, "NO!"
There was moment of silence as gasps filled the air with civilians covering their mouths and widened eyes that slowly filled with tears.
~ With Saitama ~
"Why do I feel this weird tingly feeling at the back of my neck?" He asked as he stood over the stove with noodles boiling in the heated water.
Genos shrugged as he wrote in his journal, "Stress?" He suggested without looking up. "Do you need me to give you a massage?" Genos asked looking at Saitama this time.
Saitama just hummed a 'no' as he tightened his wife's green apron around his waist.
'She's fine.' He thought as a beep from the stove snapped him out of his mind, "Okay, no where's.." He trailed off as he continued cooking.
~ Back with Alexis ~
"I-Is she okay?" A civilian asked as Hawks only flew over the giant and tightened his fist.
"You bastard-!" He threw a punch at the giant but it the midst of the punch, Alexis was nowhere near the hand on the giants shoulder, she was beside its head and she immediately hit the giant with a sloppy punch that knocked it back.
He fell to the floor with a crash and instantly died.
Hawks stared in confusion, not really grasping the situation at what just unfolded before him.
'Did she-?'
His thoughts were cut off by the cheers of the civilians who stood by watching the fight,
"YES! HAWKS!"
"That's why he's number three!!"
"He saved us again!!"
Hawks looked at the crowd and furrowed his brows as he landed on a nearby building, standing over the people chanting his name.
"But I didn't... my punch didn't even land."
He looked around when he heard a shuffling noise and saw Alexis walking away, her brown hair and white cape swaying against her yellow suit with the wind, making her look like an actual pro.
Hawks shook his head and ran towards Alexis, "Hey wait!" Alexis looked over her shoulder with a brow raised but then she smiled once she recognized his face, "Oh! It's you! You fought bravely sir!"
She stuck her red gloved hand out towards him with a sweet smile. Hawks just stared at her hand, a bit afraid if he'd survive the handshake after what he just saw.
He hesitantly shook her hand before he asked, "What's your quirk Miss?"
Alexis expressed a thinking face with one hand on her chin and the other on her hip, "Um, I'm not sure." Hawks' interest was peaked further.
"What agency do you work for?"
"Agency?"
Hawks wasn't sure if she was joking or not, did she seriously not know what he was talking about?
"Was that your first fight?" He asked as he gestured to the corpse of the giant behind him.
She nodded her head with a wide smile, "Yes, although it wasn't as challenging as I thought it would be." She informed him.
"Not challenging?" Hawks asked with shock evident in his tone as he glanced at the super strong hero's that were being loaded into emergency vehicles.
Alexis only shrugged before she turned around, "Goodbye now!" She yelled before leaping off the tall building they were standing on and into an alley.
Hawks stumbled on his words before he tried to get her back, but when he looked down, she was gone.
"I didn't even get her name."
Then he looked at the lowering sun and smirked as he closed his fist with determination.
"I'll find you again you Caped Beauty."
~ With Saitama ~
Saitama was stirring the noodles before he smacked the back of his neck abruptly, startling Genos.
Saitama tightened his grip on the spoon and it snapped in half as he turned his head to Genos with an annoyed expression, an tick mark on his face, and his hand was still against the back of his neck.
"That tingly feeling came back!"
