Chapter 12: Finding Draco’s Weakness
“What am I helping with?”
No! How does he just appear out of nowhere like that?! Is he half ghost or just plain stalker material? Oh! Did he put a tracker in my food and is now using a GPS to follow me? Wait, I doubt he even knows what a GPS is. It is a muggle device after all. Sighing, I look up at him, fluttering my eyelashes for a little affect, secretly planning Hermione’s painful death. First lead her up to the common rooms, and then … “Will you go dress shopping with me?” Cue more eyelash flutters here. “All my friends can’t go because they have plans. So since we’re going to the dance together it would make sense for you to help me, right?”
Say no, dammit. Say no or you’re right after Hermione.
We all stood there awkwardly, Ginny occasionally nudging me in the back, Malfoy just … standing there. He looked to be deep in thought. For a second I thought he’d fallen asleep standing up because he began muttering under his breath but then his head snapped up. Looking me dead in the eye, in a creepy kind of way not the lock-eyes-with-future-lover sort of way, he asked, “When?”
“Huh?” I whispered to him. Another sharp nudge from Ginny caused me to sputter and tumble out, “Tomorrow our Anatomy class is getting a chance to go to Hogsmeade in order for us to see each other’s personal lives.” It was the honest truth. Hermione had “mentioned” the idea to McGonagall. Oh yeah, that girl is having a slow death.
He spun on his heel and yelled over his shoulder as he walked away, “Meet you then!”
Was it my imagination that he was blushing just a tad?
Psssh, it had to be!

Placing my stuff on my desk, I slam my forehead into the table top. She’d been so innocent looking, fluttering her eyelashes like that. It has to be illegal or something, right? Her eyes were all wide and clear, such a beautiful aqua color; it was hypnotizing. Then she went and said so whisper-like if I would go dress shopping with her. It could have been an eating contest and I would have gone with her. She found my weakness. Those big green-blue eyes of hers.
Soon the stool next to me squeaked and class began.
Every time I blinked, her stupid eyes would gaze back at me.
Merlin, I want to puke.
