Sirius woke up with light beaming in his face, he could hear the sounds of fabric being tied. He rubbed his eyes and adjusted to the light quickly, not without becoming a bit lightheaded. He sat up straight, his mind then went to his pain. Itchy, pain, sore, ache, ouch. The woman that closed the room for the night was prepping the room for the morning. She looked around forty, she had casual clothes on. Her clothing didn't really look that uniformed. Her dark red hair was tied into a bun on top of her head. When she turned around to see Sirius sitting up looking sleep deprived, she greeted him and he greeted back. The pain didn't subside, it grew even worse, he felt so sickly that the same headache he felt back at the forest seemed to come back. He felt like vomiting.
'Four; don't let poison get you.'
He should've taken Izutoko's advice much more literal. Tyran whacked him with a stick like the day before, Sirius regurgitated on Tyran's arm. Tyran just gave him that disgusted shocked face. Sizzling could be heard from his arm. That sewerage look stuff was burning Tyran's arm. The woman turned around again and saw what happened. She rung the bell quickly thrice. The door opened to reveal a doctor and a nurse, they had a bag of medical supplies. They took one look at Sirius and Tyran. They both rushed over. The commotion had woken up everyone else except for Dillian. From the girls view, Sirius was getting his mouth checked, Tyran had his arm cleaned and bandage with some ointment.
'How long we're you all poisoned? By order.' The doctor asked as he closed Sirius' mouth and cleaned up the goo. It went like 'Kamiday, Tyran, Edeni, Sirius, Clara.'
He recheck everyone's injuries by withdrawing the bed curtains. The woman who witnessed everything had retied them back into their original states after. The three adults left the room. 'What happened?' Clara asked in a quiet voice. Tyran explained everything because Sirius began sulking under his covers. Everyone understood but didn't understand why Sirius could've puked in a trash can or something. Edeni looked at the wall where the clock was placed.
6:00 AM
Pretty early for everyone to be getting ready, it seemed like the staff had gotten here before that. Everyone were already on their phones. Takami began to fangirl with Clara because they showed each other something on their phones. Izutoko was reading the books. They heard a knock from the door. When the door opened, it revealed Emiko but she looked bright yet tired. When she closed the door behind herself quietly, it was busted open. She fell to the ground and Dillian had woken up oblivious to anything that happened.
In the door way was the dude with white hair and ice powers. He had his mask off, his face you could clearly see now. He looked a bit angry, his red eyes had slits. He stomped into the room with angry vibes. Ice started to form onto the floor where he stood. Emiko got up and fixed herself. He opened his mouth and-
'Do you need something? You shouldn't barge into clinic rooms like that.' He grit his teeth and turned around to face the tiny girl. She didn't look that fazed from him but in his eyes, he saw fear. 'I asked you where this room was and you ignored me!' He shouted at her. She looked a little too calm. 'Hey! Don't touch or be loud at her! She is fragile!' Clara said but her efforts were shut down when he turned his head and glared sharply.
'Um, I didn't ignore you. I asked you to quiet down since there are thirty-two others who are still recovering. I didn't want to show or tell you where this room was because your actions were sketchy.' Emiko said and she speed walked past him. He was fisting his hands and turned around with an angry look. Emiko went to Sirius' bedside, she pulled out a vial. When she rubbed a certain spot on his shoulder, he puked out the dark goo and it was collected into the vial.
The mystery waltzed up behind her. She was busy cleaning Sirius' face and closing the vial. She stood and backed up. She bumped into him, turning around and looking up to meet his eyes, she gave him a bored look and walked to Tyran. She did the same thing with him, then Edeni, then Clara. Takami was giving the mystery these looks mixed with disgusted, concern, and hatred. Mystery went back in front of the door and blocked Emiko from passing. She had to meet his eyes again with a glare. She had put the vials in a bag.
That was when he yanked her gloves. They slipped off easily since they were much bigger than her small hands. Hey veiny and faintly scarred hands were showing but it seemed that she cared for gloves more. When she tried to get her gloves, mystery just kept moving his hand gripping the rubber gloves. 'Ey!! You better give her gloves back!' Takami yelled while accusingly pointed a finger at him. Her small height was her disadvantage. When she stopped, he swiped her mask. She quickly cupped her ears and looked down with a shadow covering her face. When he lowered his hands. She ran towards the opposite side of the room. She went to the window and unlocked the latch and opened the glass and screen. 'Raventte!' She called out from the window.
Everyone was staring at her, the window, and glaring at the pissy man. She ducked down and in time, a crow zoomed in and began pecking and flapping its wings at the mystery. He was trying to swat it away and dropped the working mask and gloves. Emiko took her stuff and put them back on. The crow was cawing loudly.
Emiko outstretched her arm and the crow perched on it. The crow was looking around with its head eyes. Around both of its feet were golden rings around the legs. They had a few charms on it, they were very small. Emiko was facing the mystery while everyone else watched with slight anticipation.
'Your bird is Raventte?' The crow cawed madly and was about to take flight again, Emiko stopped them before so. 'Not just bird, a Blue Moon Crow. This Ceres doesn't like being called a bird.' Emiko said. 'Not Raventte by the way, it's Lagoon.' Lagoon rubbed their head against the fabric of the mask. The mystery looked at her suspiciously.
'Hey birdie, you gotta stay away from her, she's the devil in disguise girlie.' The crow took flight and perched on top of his fluff head. It sat down and began pecking his head like they were trying to put knowledge into his head. 'Girl! That hurts! Shortie! Get your damn bird!' Emiko huffed before hopping out the window. He ran towards the window and looked around outside. The crow had flew off of his head but not without clawing his head a bit. Emiko bonked his chin when she stood up. Her head collided with his jaw. He stumbled inside the room and held his jaw. Emiko climbed back inside the window with a black cat. The cat hissed the moment they saw the mystery. 'Now meet Dawn.' The cat had golden eyes with streaks of blue in them. The ears were white, along with its paws and underside. The cat was around Emiko's legs. Lagoon flew back in. Their blue tipped wings were resting against the body and they rest on top of her head.
'They both hate you.'
Takami and Dillian were stifling their laughs.
'I hate you too.'
The girls were already planning his fate.
'Lagoon is a boy and Dawn is a girl, they're both Ceres I was able to tame unlike you.' She shook her head. Dawn was rubbing her head against Emiko, who picked her up like a child and cradled her in her arms. 'If you're gonna make her introduce her children then you best introduce yourself big boy.' Takami said with a hint of attitude. He glared at everyone.
'It's okay. His name is Yuki Rokuta. He is fourteen and has-'
'SHUT THE (puck) UP!'
He ran towards Emiko. She didn't flinch or move, she just moved her foot forward and out came her magic. Sparkly yellow magic had hardened into a small ice barrier. Yuki jumped over it, thinking about stomping her. She scrambled when Dawn and Lagoon had fled her figure. Emiko just crouched down and braced for impact, she held her hands over her head in a protective position and closed her eyes tightly. Yuki saw this and stopped mid way from kicking her. She looked so miserable and vulnerable.
'Hit her Imma make you pay.'
'Don't touch, we'll make you pay bills.'
Clara and Dillian threatened at the same time. The ice barrier formed into the flowing magic again and wrapped itself around Yuki. He thrashed around madly while swatting away with his hands. 'That was a bluff. Sorry for making you guys watch this but I guess he's been avoiding his daily medicine.' Emiko said while putting her hands together in a triangle formation, thumbs out touching and the rest were facing upwards. She hardened the magic and it fell with a thud, Yuki was now encased in magic. She took out a syringe and filled it up with some light green medicine. She cleaned a spot on his shoulder and injected. She didn't put a bandaid on, instead, she used her thumb to wipe away the blood and cleaned it. The wound she inflicted was gone and he was freed.
'He doesn't act like this. But according to your mission, a few people may be controlled into working with the Ceres. He was one of the affected ones. He's gonna be normal by tomorrow if he took his medicine. Suck it up.' She whispered the last part. She turned the ice into flow and released him. He looked completely normal now. He clutched his head and groaned. She pat his back.
'Love?' Takami gasped. 'But the way he was earlier with you I don't accept.' Takami finished.
'Food! You guys will have soft food until tomorrow. The poison affected your muscles veins. Today you will start taking medicine separated from your food.' Emiko said, Yuki got up and looked around with a bit of daze. His eyes were icey blue now. He saw everyone's stares and remembered what happened. His face flushed red and he looked down covering his face.
'S-sorry...'
'It's okay. Go back to your room and your food will be served.' He nodded and rushed out the room. Emiko stood straight and went to Dillian as she was the closest. Dillian had this smug look now. 'Are you gonna serve your food to him?' Emiko looked confused, only if she knew then she would understand. 'I already ate my breakfast though, at like five.' Emiko replied, Dillian sighed and pat her shoulder then her head. 'You bean.' Emiko softened her eyes before going to the door. The cat and crow had followed her out.
'Wasn't he the guy who first attacked?' Izutoko echoed. Everyone just began having this long conversation, even when they were served that porridge.
'What if Emiko is the Masked Matter?' Dillian said while relaxing.
'How? She can't be deployed on missions until April maybe. The school needs her mission contents. You know? Like her magic power score, aid skills, mentality level, doctor's important notes and other stuff. Especially since she's from the North.' Takami said while trying to make herself comfy.
'Emiko has that sparkly magic though, the masked person had dull looking yellow. Emiko's bright like her eyes.' Clara said while listening to music with headphones she grabbed from her house. She used magic carefully. Her magic was a bit buffered because of the poison still in her system.
'Are you guys gonna bang up on your friend?' Edeni asked, the girls retorted that they wouldn't hurt smol child. Izutoko hadn't talked much to Sirius, maybe it was because everyone was present.
