We woke up to a knock on the door. Jaz got up to get it, confused because the kids weren't supposed to be here with Em and Rose until later this afternoon. It was only three in the morning. When he opened the door, he was tackled to the ground by two small children.
"DADDY!!!" they yelled in unison.
"Hey kiddos," he laughed. "What are you doing here? Your flight wasn't supposed to be in 'til later today."
"They wanted to surprise you so Carlisle called in some favors," Rose answered while walking over to hug me.
"Well that's great," I said. "But do I get a hug too?" The girls looked at each other then at me.
"MOMMY!!!" they yelled and ran towards me. I grabbed them and spun them around.
"MOMMY!!" Em screamed and ran at me. I laughed and hugged him too.
"So," I started. "Have you tormented Uncle Eddy all week for me?"
"Yes," Lor said, giggling with Reese. "We put hair bleach in his shampoo." I laughed with Jasper.
"I bet he was mad," I said. "Did he tell on you to Esme." Lor nodded her head yes while rolling her eyes. Apparently, Esme made her apologize and wear any outfit Ed picked out for her for three days.
"Well," I said. "What do you wanna do today? Sleep? Eat?"
"Sleep," Rose said. "We've all had a long day of rushing around. The favors were made last minute so our schedule was messed up. We were all pretty stressed." I nodded, understanding what she meant. I told her while they slept, Jaz and I were gonna go get the girls some presents.

As we walked around the shopping center, Jaz couldn't stop smiling. I was getting a little worried. It wasn't normal for him to be so comfortable around humans, even with the lessened appeal to their blood he could still go batshit at any moment. With him smiling, it was impossible to be able to anticipate any sudden moves he might make.
"Hey," I said, grabbing his attention. "Why are you so smiley?"
"That's the first time they've called me dad since I met them," he said, tears threatening his eyes. "They've finally accepted me."
"Aw honey," I said, pulling him into a hug. "Of course they accept you. You know, they've been wanting to call you that since we got together. They just thought it would scare you. I told them otherwise, but they wouldn't listen."
"I'm just happy they did it in the first place," he said. "I was starting to think they didn't really like me."
"They love you," I said. "It just took them a while to get used to you. Their last father figure didn't treat them the greatest. They showed real progress today. Which is why we are here to get presents. So let's go dummy." He laughed and grabbed my hand as we walked.
We walked into a country type place, knowing the girls have the same taste I do. We wanted to get them each one toy and a new outfit. They each got a camo teddy bear (Lor's is green and Reese's is pink). We got them matching outfits too but Lor has a greenish-blue shirt while Reese has a pink shirt.
{I have no idea what kind of stores they have in Irish shopping centers so just go with it lol}
When we got back to the hotel, everybody was still knocked out cold. Emmett was snoring so loud, it could cause an earthquake. I was close to putting a sock in his mouth but Jaz switched his position so he quit. We wrapped the presents and waited for them to wake up, quietly talking about random subjects.
The girls, Rose, and Em woke up around four hours later. Rose went to get food, Emmett was playing on his phone, and we were giving the girls their presents. They looked ecstatic when opening them. They specifically loved the teddy bears. For the first time ever, they told Jaz they love him. He almost cried. I had a feeling he would cry later that evening when everyone else was asleep.
Rose got back with the food an hour later. Long line I guess. By the time we were done, we had eaten so much it made us tired. Before we fell asleep, Jasper hooked him arms around me and hugged me from behind.
"Thank you," he said. "For giving me the chance to meet those two little girls and be the father they deserve." At this point, he was crying into my shoulder. I turned so that we were chest to chest and leaned up to wrapped my arms around his shoulders, holding his head to my chest.
"Thank you," I told him. "For accepting us even though we were broken. You fixed us." We fell asleep holding each other.
