I laid in Five's arms as I read my book.

"I'm going to bed," Elliott said.

"Okay, goodnight Elliott!" I said.

"Night," Five replied.

Elliott walked into his room and shut the door.

I yawned as I turned the page.

"Looks like you need to go to sleep too," Five said as he ran his fingers through my hair.

"I'm fine," I said.

"Y/N, you're literally falling asleep right now," he said.

"Well, you're running your fingers through my hair and it's soothing," I said.

He chuckled, "so it's my fault?"

"Yes," I said as I closed my book and tossed it on the coffee table.

"Come on, let's get you to bed," he said sitting up.

"You're coming with me," I said standing up.

"I don't have time to sleep, Y/N," he said as he looked up at me.

"Your powers don't work if you're tired," I grabbed his hands and pulled him to his feet.

"That's your way to get me to go to sleep?" he asked.

"You also get to sleep next to me," I smiled.

"Fine," He said before kissing my head.

I dragged him towards my room.

I handed him the shirt Elliott gave me to sleep in, "you can wear this to sleep."

"Is this Elliott's?" he asked.

"Yeah, he gave it to me to wear when I first arrived. I got pajamas since then," I said.

"This is a big step down from our custom-made academy pajamas," he chuckled.

"You're telling me," I said as I held up my aqua-colored pajama shirt and shorts.

"I know these clothes aren't your style, but you look beautiful in them," Five smiled.

"Flattery won't get you anywhere," I said.

He chuckled as I walked into the bathroom to get changed.

I came back to see that Five was wearing the t-shirt and his boxers.

"Maybe ask for some pajama pants next time, hm," Five said.

"The shirts pretty long on you," I said.

"Yeah, I know. I feel like I'm wearing a dress," He complained.

"I think you look cute," I said.

"Have you seen yourself?" he asked.

I looked at my pajamas and shrugged.

He kissed my cheek, "You look beautiful."

I rolled my eyes as I unmade the bed and climbed in. Five turned off the light and climbed in next to me. I wrapped my arm around him and laid my head on his chest.

"Goodnight, Y/N. I love you," he said as he kissed my head.

"Goodnight, Five. I love you too," I said before closing my eyes.

The next day

Five was looking around at Elliott's pictures while I sat on the couch reading my book.

"Elliott, did you develop these photos yourself?" Five asked.

"Of course. Can't exactly drop that stuff off at the neighborhood fotomat. Government has eyes everywhere," Elliott replied as he ate his Corn Flakes.

"I didn't see a dark room," Five said.

"Yeah, I converted the hallway closet," Elliott said.

I walked over and stood next to Five. He was holding a yellow film box, "What is that?"

"I'll tell you later," he whispered before picking up a pen and scratching what looked to be a date.

"Can you develop this?" Five asked as he handed the box to Elliott.

Elliott looked at it, "huh. "Frankel Footage. Friends of yours?"

"Cousins on my robot mother's side. Can you do it or not?" Five asked.

"Sure, I can."

"How long?"

"Well, I mean I'm running low on acetic acid. Beeker's Cameras is open today, but it's two miles away. I mean I have to take the bus. On the other hand, Gibson's is only ten blocks away, but I gotta cut through the park, and there's this overbreed of pigeons—"

I quietly chuckled at Elliott. He is a little bit crazy.

"Elliott," Five cut him off.

"It's like five, maybe six hours," Elliott said.

We were interrupted by the radio, "Attention all units, we have a code 3-15 at the Holbrook Sanitarium."

"The hell is a code 3-15?" Five asked Elliott.

"Fugitives on the run," Elliott said.

Five and I looked at each other before walking over to the radio.

"Twenty-five patients still at large. Many are considered armed and dangerous."

"Oh, Diego," Five said.

"Oh, who's Diego?" Elliott asked.

"Imagine Batman, then aim lower," Five said.

I laughed, "He's our brother."

"Hold on you guys are siblings and you're dating?" Elliott asked.

"Adopted siblings," Five said.

"Our family is not normal at all," I said.

Elliott nodded.

"So, you get started on that film. We'll be back as soon as we can," Five said as he took my hand in his and walked out the door.

"Where the hell would he be?" I asked as we walked down the sidewalk.

"My guess is that he's stalking Oswald again," Five said.

"Yeah, that makes sense," I said.

We were walking towards the Texas School Book Depository when I noticed a guy that looks like Diego sitting in a car.

"Five, I think that's Diego," I said pointing at a car.

"It is. But who's the girl?" He asked.

"No idea," I said.

He blinked us into the backseat.

"Then why are you doing this?" The girl asked Diego.

"Because he is an idiot," Five said causing the girl to jump and look back at us.

"Who the hell are you guys?" she asked.

"Hi, we're his loving siblings," Five smiled and waved.

"Who left me to rot in the nuthouse," Diego said as he turned to look at us.

"We did it to protect you from yourself," Five said.

"That's quite sweet," the girl said.

"Okay, all three of you out," Diego said glancing at all of us.

"Lose the crazy lady and come with us," Five said, "we have important business."

"I'm not going anywhere with you," Diego said as he looked away from us.

Five looked out the window and then back at me.

"What?" I mouthed.

He smirked and looked out the window, "Officer!"

My eyes widened.

"Hey!" Diego yelled as he grabbed him.

"We heard there was a reward out for you two," Five said before smirking at him.

"He's bluffing," the girl said.

Diego looked at me and then back at Five, "he's not." He sighed and let Five go, "fine. I'll go with you two."

"What about me?" the girl asked.

"And I'm bringing the crazy lady."

We walked up the stairs at Elliott's.

"Where did you get the film?" Elliott yelled as he had a shotgun aimed at us, "The Frankel Footage. The truth this time."

"Do you know this lunatic?" Diego asked.

"Diego, this is Elliott," I said.

"This is Elliott?" he asked.

"He's harmless," Five said.

"Are you sure about that?" Lila, the crazy lady, asked.

"Are you or are you not an enemy of the people?" Elliott yelled.

Diego and Five looked at each other. "Such an open-ended question," Diego said. "Yeah, really depends on the people," Five added.

"You move one muscle and I'll blow your brains out!" Elliott said as he kept the shotgun aimed at us.

"Elliott!" I yelled.

"I'm questioning if I should trust you too, Y/N," he said.

okay, ouch.

"You want to take this, or should I?" Diego asked.

"No, I got him," Five said.

Diego distracted Lila while Five blinked in front of Elliott and aimed the gun up at the skylight. The gun fired causing a bunch of drywall dust to fall. Diego grabbed the gun and unloaded it.

"What the hell just happened?" Lila asked as she looked at us.

The boys tied Elliott up and set up the projector so we could watch The Frankel Footage. Lila was painting Elliott's toes green. I bet he loves that (note the sarcasm).

"I'm really sorry Elliott," I patted his shoulder and walked over to stand next to Five.

He took my hand and pressed play on the projector.

An older couple appeared on the screen.

"They're so cute. I love old couples. I'm always so proud of them for not murdering each other," Lila said.

"Why are we watching this?" Diego asked.

Five shushed him.

"I'm Dan Franke and Edna Frankel. We are in Dallas, Texas to see the president," Dan said on the film, "Today's date is November 22, 1963."

"Well, that's six days from now," Lila said.

"Holy shit. This is it. The grassy knoll. Kennedy's about to get shot," Diego said, "how do you have this?"

"Hazel died to get me this footage. Must be the key to stopping doomsday," Five said as he watched the screen.

"Hazel?" Diego asked.

"Long story," Five said.

"What's doomsday?" Lila asked.

"Longer story," Five replied.

"What exactly did he say to you?" Diego asked.

"Well, he was killed before he could explain. But whatever he wanted us to see, it's on this film," Five said.

We continued to watch the film until Five saw something. He rewound the film and paused it. He pulled the projector back to zoom the picture in.

"Is that?" I asked as we walked towards the screen.

"This can't be," Five said.

"Okay, you gonna fill me in now, guys? What the hell is this shit we're watching?" Lila asked.

We ignored her and stared at the screen.

"No, that's not possible," Diego said.

"Clearly it's not," Five said.

"What... what is it?" Elliott asked with the tie still around his mouth.

"Dad," Five, Diego, and I said in unison.

Five started pacing around.

"Of course, dad would be involved in the assassination. I should've known," Diego said as he leaned against the table.

"No, you're jumping to conclusions," Five said as he continued to pace around.

I nodded in agreement.

"What the hell else is he doing standing on the grassy knoll, holding an open umbrella on a sunny day in Dallas the exact day the president gets shot?" Diego yelled.

Five stops and looks at him, "it doesn't look good. I admit."

"No, he's the signalman for the whole goddamn thing," Diego said as he looked at the picture of dad on the projector.

"Easy, Diego. Seriously," Five said.

"No, it makes sense. This is what Hazel was obviously trying to tell you," Diego said, "We have to stop dad from killing the president."

"Diego, calm down. All right?" I said as I sat on the counter.

"Dad was no boy scout, but presidential assassination? It's never been his thing," Five told him.

I nodded.

Diego scoffed, "How would you guys know? You two skipped out on his golden years."

Five and I stared at him in disbelief.

"Skipped out?" Five asked, "You think we had it easy, Diego?"

"I was in a damn coma for seventeen years!" I yelled.

"And I was alone for forty-five years!" Five said.

"Obviously Five had it worse," I said.

Five gave me a small smile and rested his hand on my knee. He looked back at Diego, "You know what? We don't have time for this right now. Dad's clearly in Dallas, right? Let's go talk to him. Maybe he can help us fix the timeline."

"Dallas is a big place. We need to find him first," Diego said.

"Gee, if only we had some magical, old-timey way of finding people and their addresses," Five said as he leaned next to me on the counter.

I smiled, "books are magical."

Five looked at me and chuckled.

I hopped off the counter and got the telephone directory out of one of the drawers. I tossed it on the table.

"Thanks, Love," Five said before kissing my head.

I blushed. Did he just call me love? I love it.

"Let's start simple. His name," Five said as Diego flipped through the book.

"Shit, there's nothing here," Diego said.

"Try his company, D.S. Umbrella Manufacturing Co." Five said.

Diego looked at him, "yeah, I know the name. Thanks." He flipped through the book again, "Holy shit, D.S. umbrella. Eighty-Two Olive. Let's go."

He rolled the projector screen up and we started walking towards the door.

"He okay to leave here like that?" Diego asked as he looked back at Elliott who was still tied up on the chair.

"Yeah, he's fine," Five said as he took my hand, "What about the girl?"

Diego looks back to see that Lila disappeared, "Shit." He walks away to go find her.

I looked at Five, "Love?"

"Yes?" he asked.

I smiled, "So, we're using pet names now?"

He smiled back, "I guess we are."

He pecks my lips and pulls me into a hug.

"All right let's go Lovebirds," Diego said as he walked towards the door.

Five lets me go and takes my hand.
