You try to pic up your phone from the place you think it is, but end up falling down the bed. The newfound pain gives you finally a reason to open up your eyes. A luxurious room and a red-haired man.
'Right, there was something.'
Diluc kneels down and helps you back on the bed. He checks your forehead and hands and turns away from you to take out bandages out of a drawer. 'Did I scare you that much?' Carefully patching up the wounds you got after falling down he looks at you with the same neutral expression he always has on his face.
'Not exactly 'scare'... More like confuse? I simply thought that I was back home and that I maybe overslept for something...'
'Do you miss your home?'
'Why are people always so interested in my backstory? I am a broke traveler, Aether thinks that my family/friends are dead and saying that I am from Fontaine or something could expose me as a liar in the end...'
'I don't know if I miss my home. I originally started to travel because my home village got destroyed, so there is nothing left to miss anyway. Well, it would be rather hard to get there since I lived on an archipelago far away from here. Even though I think that traveling fits me more, I guess yes, I do somehow miss it.'
'Was that too much or is it still reasonable for videogame standards?'
'Wait, this isn't the important thing right now. Why am I here and where is Aether?'
'Aether is in a separate room, sleeping and you are here because you became sick and collapsed. What is the last thing you can remember?'
You think for a moment. 'I guess leaving your house. Did you take care of me while I was sick?'

'Then props to you. I feel perfect now! I will look how Aether and... Are Paimon and Rosa with him too?'
Diluc shakes his head. 'I don't believe that you should run around yet. Even if you feel good now, your high fever could return if you don't rest now.'
'No, I do value your care, but the Rite of Descension won't wait for us. So, where are my friends?'
'You are being unreasonable right now. A simple ceremony isn't more important that your health.'
'It is, story-wise at least.'
'I am fine, believe me. If you remain so persistent, I will look into every room and find them myself.'
The male sighs. 'Fine, but if something happens you are free to come back.'
'I thought he would resist more...'
Showing you the room in which all your friend are staying in. You open up the door and shortly after that something pink tackles your head and clings to your face like a leech.
'I am happy to see you too Rosa, but could you maybe move a bit to the sides - I can't see a thing.', you chuckle.
It listens to you to you and repositions itself on top of your head.
'That is interesting, you and the Seelie got better around the same time...' Paimon floates down to Aether and starts shaking him. 'Aether, time to wake up. (Y/N) is doing better, therefore we can go now.'
Immidiantly the golden-yellow eyes shoot open wide. '(Y/N)?' He jumps up and runs up to you, putting his hands on your shoulders. 'You look better than before. I am so glad that the fever went down, but did you gt hurt or something? These bandages weren't there before as far as I can remember.'
'Ah yes, when I woke up I fell down the bed and got a few scratches, nothing to worry about. Did you guys really wait for me to get better? You could have went without me, you know?'
Aether shakes his head firmly. 'No, we accepted you as a part of our group so it would be hypocritical to leave you.'
Behind you Diluc clears his throat. 'Since it is early in the morning I could provide you a small breakfast. It w-'
'No need for that. Your generosity up until now was already more than enough. We need to hurry anyways, so we will take our leave now. Farewell.', the blonde interrupts and pushes you past Diluc.
'But-'
'No buts, we really need to go now (Y/N).'
'Alright, alright.'
'No need to be so pushy. Was he like that in the game too?'
As you are out of the front door, you wave at Diluc. 'Goodbye Diluc! Thank you foe everything and I hope that I get to visit you in the future!'
'I hope not.'
'Yes, I hope so, but maybe without annoying friends then.'
