POV Elsa
The idea came to me, while I was walking around the yard of North’s place. It was as clear as the shone of moonlight that was guiding my path. The dreams, dreams are the solution.
Moon spoke to me that night, Jack had been gone for a day then. He was having his training with Thor. At first it was like an echo inside my mind, until I realized that Manny was the one speaking with me.
Manny told me that one must work inside the bad dreams, convince children that things have hope. He had put me to practice with Jack back then, when he was a child and growing up. He was being haunted by nightmares and fears until he realized who he truly was.
The only way to guard the guardians was to help them out, get the children feel themselves safe again in their dreams that they were now bound to.
This I decided to keep as a secret because it was possible that I would be imprisoned inside a nightmare like the children were. My plan is only known by Sandy who is the expert when it comes to dreams. The one who this should be kept as a secret is Jack. The plan might lead to the fact that I would disappear, turn into part of the moonlight. Moon’s powers are great but however fragile as am I when I travel in dreams. One single bad dream that causes me to lose control, be afraid, it might destroy the Maiden of the Moon.
I snug out while people were having their rest at first I decided to pay a visit at the Tooth Palace. Toothiana was one who I could trust. A snow globe brought me there fast and I saw how they were doing their leave. I made sure that Toothiana was alone when I approached her, only she can know about my presence.
“Tooth,” I whispered and she started turning around in the air. Her wings were flickering fast and then she noticed me. I kept myself behind the shadow of a tree.
“Elsa? So where’s Jack and the rest?” she giggled as she flew to me.
“I need to do something alone. I guess that you have a plan figured out? That’s what Manny told me,” I said quietly and Toothiana narrowed her eyebrows.
“Yes but I am quite confused now Elsa,” Toothiana whispered her response rather loudly.
“I’m going into the children’s dreams, try to get them realize that it’s only a bad dream and they can overpower them,” I smiled.
“That’s dangerous! It might turn into your own nightmare,” Toothiana gulped and I pressed myself better into shadows when Aleah and Lili passed us. They were carrying some baskets filled with tubes to tooth fairies.
“Tubes?” I questioned.
”Yes, we got an idea that if we use their good memories it might give them hope and help them to wake up from the nightmare. It might make Pitch be weaker,” Toothiana cheered and I placed my hand over her mouth. I pulled her into hiding.
“That’s good. Just keep Jack away from the moon cave, make him concentrate on his mission to defeat Loki. It’s more important,” I chuckled sadly.
Toothiana sighed and had her eyes filled with defeat as she watched me, “Alright. Just give me your memory tube. It might be handy.” Toothiana smiled.
”There isn’t good memories inside. My childhood went by dwelling in fear,” I sighed and gave her the tube.
“I’m sure that there’s couple of nice memories that give you joy,” Toothiana smiled and I hugged her tightly. She giggled and hugged back. “Be safe,” Toothiana whispered to my ear and I nodded my head.
“Maybe and I will be safe, I hope,” I said as I let go of her.
When Toothiana left I took out one more snowglobe from the pouch I was carrying. I shook it and watch how the snowflakes fall down calmly. Ironic, I just remembered my past and soon my existence might come to an end again. At least I need to try. My heart aches as the last flakes are falling down to the bottom.
Then I dropped the globe down, it shattered and the water inside splashed against my ice shoes. I watch how the portal appears and I go inside. Soon I was at the Moon Cave.
The cave which I had been for the time after my death. I watch at the ice bed that I had created, which I used to visit Jack’s dreams while he was growing up.
Jack.
The idea of him made me sigh while being heartbroken. A glance up and I saw the moon being bright tonight.
“Jack, you say that I’m your Moon and Star. However, now, now I wish that it will be other way around. When I’m inside the bad dreams, come and find me. Be the Moon that lightens my path, be the stars that I should follow. Jack, be MY Moon and MY Star. I need you,” I whispered as I went at the bed.
Then I climbed on the bed, the ice fairies were now circling around me. They all were worried, my friends that kept me company. One of them was really persisting not to let me go into dream world. It was most ecstatic fairy, the one with freckles and tiny little nose. She had been the closest ever since I came here.
“Calm down. I need to do this,” I laughed as they tried to pull me out. They knew what I was about to do.
Finally they let me lay still on the bed. I kept on staring at the ceiling for a while, until I closed my eyes. It felt like a thin cool silk scarf had been layed on top of me, then getting heavier and all the sounds disappearing around me. At first vanished the sound of wind from the outside, then the flickering sound of the fairies.
Finally I just heard how water drops were dripping from the ceiling and to the Moon’s lake inside the cave.
Then there was nothing. No voice, no sight.
Not until I saw the path. The shining white pebbles were guiding me. It was like I knew where to go, like it had been placed inside my head.
And now. I was inside a nightmare.
It was a tornado, circling around a house. I paused for a while, searching the sign of the child whose fear this is.
Crying, that’s what I heard. Someone was crying inside the house. Without one single doubt I ran forward and I rushed inside.
“Where are you little one!” I shouted over the roaming storm.
“H-here,” I heard a silent voice sobbing from the room on the right. A little girl was crying under kitchen table and I quickly crawled under the table.
“Hello. What’s your name?” I asked her.
”Marina,” she cried and tangled onto me.
“It’s going to be alright Marina.. Have you tried to get out?” I whispered and patted her back.
“T-that tornado follows me! I run and it comes after me,” she kept on crying and her whole body shook.
“This is your dream.. only a dream.. you can win it, use your imagination to overcome it,” I said to her.
“I.. I can’t! It’s too scary,” she sobbed.
“Think of something happy--,” I said but she screamed about not being able to do it.
I embraced the little girl tightly, “I’m here now. I won’t go anywhere. I came to take the nightmare away.” I whispered and swayed her. Poor girl, being trapped in this nightmare world for days.
Hurry up Toothiana, Ethan, Aleah and rest. I thought in my mind as the girl quivered in fear on my arms.
POV Iron man (A/N: Lol)
The iceman is running around this weird looking craft shop. I wonder what kind of equipment the man in red does. I’ve seen things that fly and don’t seem to have any type of motors. I could find something useful here to use in my own suit.
“Where is she!” The cool guy yelled as he started flying. Without a suit, flying. Why is everything flying in here. Even that tiny little boat made from ice is flying.
“What’s the power source for these things?” I asked and the chubby guy lifts his eyebrow.
“Power source? We just need wonder,” the man known as North, I prefer chubby though, said.
“Chill down mate!” Australian bunny said loudly and grabbed a hold of Frost boys staff. “God it’s chilly!” Bunny yelped and let go. It caused Frost to crash on floor.
”Nice one Bunny, chill down Mr. Ice man,” I laughed as I complimented Bunny from his pun. I walk to the Frost boy and I offer him my hand. He grabs on it and I pull him up. His grip is quite cold actually.
The Frost boy was about to escape again but I took out my phone and I did some dialing. I watch in amusement how he gets grabbed and dragged back down by my suit.
“WHAT THE HECK IS THIS THING!” Frost was gasping.
“My favorite robotic suit,” I grinned. ”What’s the hurry anyway?”
“My wife disappeared!” Frost sounded terrified.
Then the weird golden man started flashing images in front of the Frost boy. The amazing part was that the kid understood the little man.
“And?” I asked as the kid fell to sit on the floor, sighing loudly and rubbing his temples.
“Elsa is.. is doing her own fight. She’s inside children’s nightmare’s. We should meet up with Tooth soon,” Frost whispered and I saw his hands quivering.
“What’s going on?” Natasha asked as she came into the room with Hawkeye.
“Drama,” I said and crossed my arms.
“Good. Drama is good for the wielder of blue lightning. He needs to be angry!” Thor roared as he got into the room.
“Anger is not a solution,” Hulk.. I mean doctor groaned from the corner. Great, everyone is showing up. Wait.. I could do some sneaking around and check out the place.
I started to go towards one room that said “Keep away, North’s study.” It sounded just perfect. Then I was paused by a large teddy, I mean yeti.
“We should get going. Toothiana is waiting us outside the city of Burgess. They need everyone, nightmare horses and creatures are circling around the town. They need fighters, they need us!” North roared and I saw a tiny fairy flying next to him. A little green bird kind of thing.
“Then fighters they will get,” Thor laughed.
“Avengers unite!” Captain America shouted and placed his hand in front. Oh god, I know where this is going. One by one they placed their hands over each other. Until there was just me and Hulk left. I rolled my eyes and went to the Avenger circle.
“C’mon Hulk, we’re waiting,” I mumbled and finally doctor joined us.
“Wait..,” Captain said and glanced at North, Bunny, Sandy and Frost. They were staring at us weirdly.
“Oh what the heck! Come here!” I yelled to the weird group that called themselves Guardians. Slowly they dragged themselves to us.
“So what’s the point in this?” Frost whispered as he placed his hands on top of the pile.
“OH GOD IT’S FREEZING MY AIMING HAND!” Hawkeye gasped.
“Well, you wanted the spirit of winter in here,” Frost snapped bitterly.
“Ngh.. let’s come up with group name before our fingers are popcicles?” Captain America gulped.
“A-avengers?” Natasha mumbled.
”Nah, something more o-original.. jeez it’s cold!” Hawkeye whined.
“Y-you dare to c-c-complain? I come from E-Easter island.. it’s warm in there you know.. AND MY PAW IS UNDER HIS HAND!” Bunny groaned.
“G-Guards for Avenge?” Hulk said and I notice how our hair is frosting. Frost rolled his eyes.
“T-too stupid,” I mumbled.
“Legends shall beat your worthless asses and made you chased by your nightmares,” Frost sighed.
“Too long!” Everyone shouted.
“Legends on Avenge?” I said.
“AGREED!” Everyone shouted fast.
“One-two-three,” I said quickly.
Then a roar echoed at North’s place, “LEGENDS ON AVENGE!” We threw our hands into air and it already felt warmer.
Time to beat some asses, as quoted from a lightning wielder. Or something like that.
We used some snow globes to travel. I need to take one to study this travel method. It seems interesting.
Then the city of Burgess, it was true. From further away I could see something black and nightmarish lurking on the streets and haunting the children. Only someone who believes into Boogeyman and to these ‘Guardians’ could see them. And yes, I do see them.
The big fairy was giving orders to smaller fairies as we went into the hideout inside some forest area. She was also working with some kids that this Frost seemed to know well.
Then we figured out the plan. How we, the Avengers would handle the nightmares with co-operation to North and Bunny. The kids and Toothiana would be going to kids with their happy memories, Sandy would help. And the Frost boy? He should fight off with Loki and Pitch, Thor would help him. Since he knows his brother.
Somehow I’m not that trusty towards Thor knowing his brother that well. Look at where it has lead us this far.
