"Oh Bhaisaab" Kartik said appalled
The trio ran outside and saw an unbelievable sight, "What the heck is Mayank doing" Ahaan whispered.
Ishqi: Iss ke dimaag mein koi toh kichari pakk rahi hai- yeh saab kya hai???
The lawn was decorated with balloons, lights, and banners that read, "I'm sorry"- The resort's entire staff, the Malhotra's, Rathore's, and Rhea plus guests who had come to attend the wedding were present there.
The trio quickly stood beside Sonu/Raj and mumbled, "Yeh sab kya chal raha hai"
Sonu: Humein khud nahi pata- Mayank just asked us all to come in the lawn as he has something to declare in front of everyone- Mujhe bohot darr lag raha hai- kahin woh mere baare mein na bata de- she said visibly terrified
Ishqi: Kuch nahi hoga Sonu- Don't worry-- Waise yeh kamina Mayank hai kidhar-
After a few moments Mayank appeared from behind the curtain and went straight to Ishqi and held her hands- "I'm sorry Ishqi- I don't know mujhse kya galti hogayi hai but please forgive me and mujhse shaadi karne ke liye mann jao"
Ishqi quickly jerked her hands away from his- While all the guests were appreciating Mayank's gesture, Ahaan-Ishqi-Kartik-Sonu-Raj were confused as heck.
"Yeh kar kya rahe ho tum Mayank?!" she whispered to him
Mayank: Tumhe kya lagta hai Ishqi- tum Sonu ki shaadi karwa dogi, mujhe mandap mein reject karke chali jaogi and I will just sit here and do nothing- Agar tumne mujhe phir reject kar diya toh Ahaan ko bohot gussa aiga, he'll support me and I'll manipulate him to take harsh action against you and mein Sonu ki pictures iss projector per chala dounga-my friend Akash is ready to take the blame for Sonu's molestation in exchange for some money- Mein toh bacch jaoga Ishqi lekin tumhari aur Sonu ki life barbaad hojaigi-
Ishqi (in mind): Yeh banda toh total gone case hai- Ek baar reject hoke mann nahi bharah ke phir reject hone agaya hai....Waise mummy thank you aapne mujhse iss jaise insaan se shaadi karne se baccha liye...aur AVM? woh meri life barbaad kareinge? Haha.....iss bewakoof ko kya pata woh meri side hai....lekin aab inn pictures ka kya karoun????....Ishqi kuch sochh!!
Mayank: Ishqi please jawab do, he said while holding her shoulders
Ishqi looked visibly uncomfortable but she couldn't say anything due to Sonu- "That's enough" Ahaan muttered and went up to them, he jerked Mayank's hands off of Ishqi's shoulder, "Mayank baat haath lagaye beghair bhi ho sakti hai, she hasn't said yes yet so you don't have any right to touch her"
Mayank (in mind): Yeh Ahaan ko kya hogaya hai?!! Kahin Ishqi ne isse saab saach bata toh nahi diya?....Nahi aisa nahi ho sakta.....Mein Ahaan ko jaanta houn agar usse saach pata bhi laga toh woh Sonu ko hi blame kareyga-
Rhea (in mind): Why does Ahaan care so muchhh??? Ishqi ko Mayank haath lagaye yah kuch bhi karey...Ahaan ko kya farak parta hai.....He looked more uncomfortable than Ishqi....Yeh chal kya raha hai inn dono ke beechh?? she thought bitterly
Mayank nodded while Ishqi gave Ahaan a grateful look-
Ahaan smiled, "Ishqi itni pareshaan kyun lag rahi hai- I'm sure Mayank has said something upsetting to her- I need to help her get out of this situation, she can't say yes but Mayank will for sure pull some sort of devious stunt if she refuses his proposal..."
Ishqi: Mayank, I'm sorry but I cant- she tried her best to hide her anger
Ahaan: Mayank- you can't force her- if she doesn't want to give you a second chance- you should just let it be-
Mayank (in mind): No....no...Ahaan is ruining everything....why is he supporting Ishqi?? He should pressurize her into agreeing...Mayank jaldi kuch kar warna toh baazi tere per ulti par jaigi...
Mayank hugged Ishqi while she stood there stunned, "Ishqi please, I can't live without you" he said with crocodile tears.
Ishqi tried to push him away but he wasn't letting go- Ahaan was fuming in anger, "HOW DARE HE?!?!!! I agree he was Ishqi's fiancee but he WAS- he isn't anymore-- why the hell is he being so touchy with her?!!! But, but tujhe kyun itna bura lag raha hai Ahaan?.....Nahi, mujhe bura nahi lag raha...it's just that Ishqi looks really uncomfortable and Mayank is a scoundrel....I can't let him upset Ishqi like this, she's already not well"
Ahaan tried his best to divert the attention and he gestured Kartik-Sonu-Raj to help as well-
Kartik: Ma- I mean Minky bhai- come I quickly need to talk to you, he said while pulling him from Ishqi-
Mayank: But-
Before he could protest Kartik practically dragged him out of there-
Sonu: Ishqi come- let's go I need your help in something, she said while taking Ishqi back into the resort.
Meanwhile Ahaan and Raj asked the staff to get back to work and their family and guests to return to their respective rooms- As usual Dadi and Sarla Auntie started taunting Ishqi, who wasn't even present there.
Dadi: Kitni nakhre hai iss ladki ke--bechara Mayank...uss ne itna saab kuch kiya iss Ishqi ke liye aur isne usse phir se manna kar diya-
Sarla Auntie: Bechara Mayank--yeh Ishqi agay ja ker bohot regret karegi, pata nahi samajti kya hai aapne aap ko-
Ahaan: Sarla Auntie-Dadi, aap logon ko nahi pata the reason behind her decision so you guys shouldn't judge her without knowing the truth, I think we should go in our rooms and rest for a bit- it's been a long day-
They just rolled their eyes and left still insulting Ishqi-
Raj: Waise hadd hoti hai-
Ahaan: Hmmm, let's go to Ishqi's room- Sonu aur Kartik bhi wahi hoge-
Raj & Ahaan ran to Ishqi's room where they saw her walking back & forth in anger, "WOH KAMINA MAYANK APNE AAP KO SAMAJTA KYA HAI....ITNA BARAH DRAMEBAAZ MEINE AAJ TAK NAHI DEKHA" she ranted
Kartik: Calm down Ishqi- it's ok- aaj raat ko hum uska kaam tamaan kareinge na, don't waste your energy now because of him-
Ishqi: Kartik tumne plan ka first part pura kar liye??
Kartik: Yes! Jaise humne decide kiya tha- Meine Mayank ko sleeping pills de di hai so woh toh raat ke 12 baaje se pehle uthne nahi wala- meaning he won't cause any more hurdles for us, he smiled proudly
Ishqi: Good Job!
Ahaan: Waise Ishqi- why didn't you protest when he hugged you? he asked a little jealous
Kartik smirked, he knew what was going on in his brother's head, "Jealousy and all bhai...hmm...jealous ho rahe hai per accept nahi karna chahte ke Ishqi ke liye feelings hai"
Ishqi: Woh...um- mein agar usse dusri baar "no" bolti toh usne kaha tha ke woh projector per Sonu ki pictures chala dega-
Sonu starting sobbing and Raj + Kartik comforted her-
Ahaan: THAT RASCAL! HOW DARE HE??!! Mein usse aab nahi choru ga, he said while charging towards Mayank's room
Ishqi: Ahaan rukiye, she said while running behind him- "Ahaan- Ahaan"- she caught his arm
Ahaan: Nahi Ishqi...Mera patience khatam hogaya hai....Today I won't spare him-
Ishqi: But Ahaan
Ahaan: No Ishqi
Ishqi: Sun toh lijiye
Ahaan: I cant take this anymore- Aaj nahi bacche ga woh Mayank-
Ishqi: NAAM TEEN BANDA MEAN RUKIYE, she said angrily
Ahaan stopped in his tracks- "She sounds angry" he muttered
Ahaan: Yeahhhh, he said while slowly turning around-
Ishqi: AVM mein jaanti houn ke aapko bohot zyada gussa araha hai--hum saab ko araha hai but we can't make decisions that we know we'll regret later. All of us want Mayank to be punished for what he did and we have already made a plan, right?
He nodded-
Ishqi: Waise bhi sleeping pills ki wajah se woh abhi soe raha hoga- Buss kuch der aur wait kar lijiye and phir jitna marna hai mariye ga uss kamine ko....balke hum dono saath mil ke ussko maareinge, she chuckled
Ahaan grinned and nodded, "Thanks Ishqi- I don't know what I'd do without you"
Rhea stood at a distance bitterly glaring at Ahaan and Ishqi- "What the hell is happening to Ahaan??? I try my best to be perfect for him and phir bhi Ahaan scolds me sometimes but yahan kya horaha hai??!!! Ahaan, Ishqi se daant kha raha hai- he's not arguing with her, he's just standing there are listening to her scold him??!! Ahaan is changing and not for me...for Ishqi....I wonder what they're talking about.."
She was about to move closer to listen in on their conversation but her phone beeped, she read the message and worriedly left for her room.
Ishqi: Phir se thank you?..yaad hai na- no thank you and no sorry- aur waise bhi that's what..fri...friends are for, right?
Ahaan: Friends? Yeah- right- friends..
Ishqi (in mind): I wish I could say that I think we're more than that Ahaan-
Ahaan (in mind): I wish I could confess that I think our relation is beyond friendship Ishqi- but I'm scared that what if you don't feel the same way-
They sighed- "Okay AVM- raat ko milte hai" she said while walking away
Ahaan: Bye Ishqi- he quietly mumbled and left for his room.
Unknown to them, Kartik was also present there,"Bhaiiiii- bol dete dil ki baat, woh sunn ke shayad Ishqi bhi confess kardeti.....itni acchi oppurtinity jaane di....but don't worry, Godfather Kartik will ensure ke mission "Realization" zaroor succeed hoga......I promise". ✨

I know ke the Mayank drama was a little rushed but I didn't have any other ideas that wouldn't interrupt the plot I've planned.......but I still hope ya'll enjoyed reading 💜. I've also made Rhea more "girlfriend" like cuz in the show she literally ignored all the times she should've shown a little bit of possessiveness- she was initially shown as "the prefect girl" which is obviously not realistic. I feel like makers should've shown a bit of jealous Rhea as well kyunke while watching the show lagta hi nahi tha ke Ahaan ki girlfriend hai- Rhea harkate girlfriend se zyada behan wali karti thi- lmao 😂(just my opinion :) { Word Count: 1746 } 💛
