The next morning Phoenix, Hermione, Ron, Harry, George, Ginny, molly, Remus and Moody were all walking down London streets to St. Mungo's hospital. Fred held Phoenix's hand the whole way Phoenix never seen Fred look so worried and concerned he never shows this side only behind close doors. After last night too Phoenix couldn't process the truth she held when she gets back to grimmauld she needed more answers. They walked up to a old shopping complex, moody knocked on it three times and a door magically opened. They all stepped in and appeared in front of St.Mungos Phoenix felt a chill down her spin and felt Fred grip her hand tighter.
"Quickly now" molly ushered Phoenix held her breath as they walked into the hospital and upstairs to the patient's floor. Molly walked into Arthur's room while the others waited, Fred kept tapping his foot repeatedly and Phoenix saw the nervous look on his face. Phoenix laid her head on his shoulder and kissed his hand
"He's going to be okay Freddie" Phoenix said softly Fred laid his head down on hers and sighed
"I'm just worried, I'm glad your here" Fred whispered Phoenix smiled softly as he kissed her forehead
"I'll always be here" Phoenix whispered softly
"Fred, George, Ron, Ginny come on" molly called over Fred stood up and looked down at Phoenix who was smiling softly up at Fred
"You'll be okay" Phoenix smiled Fred nodded and went off with his siblings and went into Arthur's room. Phoenix looked down the hall and seen Neville sitting outside a room, Phoenix got up and walked over to Neville
"Hey Neville" Phoenix smiled Neville looked up and smiled at Phoenix
"Phoenix what are you doing here?" Neville asked kindly
"I'm here seeing Arthur right now and yourself?" Phoenix smiled as she sat down next to Neville, he sighed softly as he played with a chocolate wrapper
"I'm here seeing my parents" Neville said softly Phoenix sighed softly and gave Neville a soft smile
"I'm sorry to hear that Neville" Phoenix said
"Oh don't be, my gran said it will get better" Neville said Phoenix sat with Neville in silence before Neville looked at Phoenix and sighed
"You know Bellatrix lestrange?" Neville asked Phoenix nodded remembering last week looking at the daily prophet and seeing she had escaped
"Yes she—I remember her" Phoenix said
"Well my parents were apart of Dumbledore's army back in the day, they were only twenty Bellatrix used the cruico curse on them and—erm made them go mad" Neville said as his gram walked out, Neville tilted his head gesturing to follow Neville into the room. Neville's gran smiled at Phoenix as the two walked in. Phoenix saw a pale, short brown hair lady laying in a hospital bed staring out the window.
"She doesn't speak only really stairs but sometimes she'll give me these wrappers" Neville said as he showed Phoenix the chocolate wrapper. Phoenix felt awful that Alice long bottom and Neville's family had to go through this because of Voldemort.
"Didn't Umbridge use that curse on you?" Neville asked softly Phoenix looked up from Alice and nodded
"Yes she did, but I never knew this could happen" Phoenix said softly Neville nodded
"Do—do you think we could defeat this?" Neville asked Phoenix gave Neville a smile and patted his back
"If we all stick together then we will, Neville we will avenge them" Phoenix smiled Neville gave Phoenix a small smile and Phoenix gave Neville a hug
"I have to head back but I'll see you at school Neville" Phoenix smiled
"Happy Christmas Phoenix" Neville smiled
"Happy Christmas Neville" Phoenix smiled before walking out of the room and heading back to the group. Fred walked out of Arthur's room with a smile and everyone was ready to go
"Where did you wonder off to?" Ron asked as Phoenix walked up to him
"I saw Neville so I went to say hi" Phoenix said
"Why's Neville here?" Harry asked Phoenix looked back and saw Neville leaving with his gran
"Later I'll tell you but not here" Phoenix said Ron, Harry and Hermione nodded and everyone began walking back to grimmauld place. Fred seemed better as they walked through London and Phoenix smiled softly
"how's your dad?" Phoenix asked
"He'll be okay, he gets to come home tomorrow" Fred smiled Phoenix smiled happily and looked at Fred
"That's great news" Phoenix said
"anyways darling did you hear what Sirius was talking about last night?" Fred asked concerned Phoenix sighed and looked at Fred knowing he can't know
"sort of but my head was killing me" Phoenix said Fred looked at Phoenix with sighed softly he nodded and left it alone knowing very well Ron will say something
"Sirius sounded livid" Fred mumbled softly
"I know he mentioned something about my mom" Phoenix said softly they turned onto grimmauld and Phoenix slowed down
"If it comes down to it phe I'm going to protect you whatever happens" Fred whispered softly Phoenix kissed his hand softly and smiled
"we protect each other" Phoenix said softly Fred smiled softly and wrapped his arms around her softly as they walked into the house. Sirius was in the kitchen Dumbledore as Phoenix walked in hearing them have a conversation which seemed odd. Later that night Phoenix went upstairs to her room to be alone, she shut her door and so many thoughts were running through her head and her legilimacy was starting to act up badly
"He's coming for you....all. of. you and there's nothing you can do"
"You will die Phoenician Jane Diggory it's only a matter of time and you will die alone"
Phoenix trembled she grabbed the first thing saw and threw against the wall, a picture of her, Adeline and Cedric shattered Phoenix stopped immediately and sat down in front of the broken frame she picked up the picture as her mom smiled down at her and Cedric on her last Christmas together. Phoenix smiled softly seeing her mom's smile times like these she wished her mom was here to protect her. A soft knock at her door, Phoenix turned around to see Hermione standing they're with a softly smile on her face
"I just came here to get a book but it looks to me you need a friend" Hermione said as she shut the door Phoenix began picking up the broken glass and Hermione walked over to help
"I do this two sometimes" Hermione said Phoenix smiled as she stood up and placed the picture on her desk
"I'll get Fred to fix it after" Phoenix said before letting out a huge sigh
"Hermione I feel like I'm going bonkers right now" Phoenix said before sitting on the edge of her bed, Hermione joined her and linked arms with her
"We heard Dumbledore came to speak with you what happened?"
"He can't tell me why the dark lord is doing this and he's hiding something Hermione I can feel it, he blocked his thoughts from me reading them something is wrong" Phoenix said Hermione's face fell concerned as they sat together Hermione took a breath and looked at Phoenix
"If something dose happen, I could assume you have a plan" Hermione said softly Phoenix nodded slowly since she's been planning an idea since Umbridge arrival.
"I do mione and if anyone were to find out about it they'd lock me away I bet" Phoenix chuckled softly
"What is it? I won't judge you" Hermione said Phoenix smiled at Hermione knowing she could be the only one to hold this secret.
"I found out recently that everything I've been showing and doing that I am the heir of a firebird"
Hermione's eyes widened knowing she herself have been making association that Phoenix was the heir of the rarest birds. Hermione held back her excitement as Phoenix continued
"I've read when it comes down to it I'll know how to fight the dark lord and when it comes that time I can obliviate Voldemort that's why he's scared of me and Harry, Harry can see through the eyes of Voldemort and I could kill him" Phoenix said Hermione didn't like where this was going but she made a promise to Cedric to always be by her side so Hermione bit her lip
"What are you saying?" Hermione asked
"If I obliviated lord Voldemort I disappear with him Hermione and I'm willing to make the sacrifices to know you, Ron, Harry and everyone else has a better life" Phoenix said Hermione felt ill knowing very well it was indeed the only way Hermione gripped Phoenix's arm tightly and felt tears run down her face.
"Phoenix I know, I—I promise I won't tell a soul" Hermione chocked Phoenix gave her friend a soft smile and hugged her
"Hermione don't cry I know you obviously read about it before I did and when the times comes I need you to promise me another thing" Phoenix said softly
"Anything" Hermione sniffled Phoenix broke apart and wiped Hermione's eyes
"You make sure Fred doesn't blame himself and tell him it's okay to move on and Ron make sure Ron stays safe and always always always be by his side Hermione" Phoenix said softly Hermione sighed and looked at Phoenix softly
"I promise Phoenix" Hermione said Phoenix gave Hermione a hug and felt her weight lift off her chest but behind the closed door hold Fred and George with there new extendable ear listening to everything and Fred went absolutely pale while George stood in shock.
