Tears formed on her eyes and she wiped it "You'll have a heart now. And it's on its the way here"
I was shocked and don't know how to respond on what Suzy has said. Is this really happening?
Suzy snapped her fingers in front of my face "Hey, I've been calling your name"
I look at her still not believing about the news I've heard
"Don't tell me that you're having second thoughts unnie?" she said with bother her arms on her hip
"No, no... I-I'm just... shocked... that's all"
"That's good, atleast you're not having second thoughts" she smiled at me genuinely and hugged me "This is it, it's your chance for a normal life sissy"
I hugged her back still not believing what's happening "Yes, a chance" My tears fell. Now I'm starting to digest the information. It is really true it is happening
"I'm sorry to ruin your bond, but we have to prepare for the surgery" Doc Wendy said
"Can I ask something first?" I asked
"Of course, what is it Miss Bae?"
"Where did the heart came from?"
"A brain dead patient from YG hospital"
"And?"
"Well, we're not really given the personal informations of donor except blood type, size of its heart, histories and such. Only necesarry medical things, and you guys are a perfect match"
"How did she die?"
"It was a car accident, the roads are slippery since it's raining and a truck accidentally hit cars that include hers"
"That's awful" Suzy said
"It is. By the way Miss Bae, the nurses will be here to change your clothes and you'll be delivered to O.R 1"
"Yes, thank you Doc" I said "Uhm... Wait, are we guys doing it now?"
"We have to prepare you already Miss Bae since your heart is on its way"
"Can we wait for a moment?"
"With your condition we can't waste any moment Miss Bae. The sooner we get you to surgery, the better your chances of surviving"
"Yeah, but let's just wait for Lisa?" I pleaded
"Don't worry unnie I'll text Lisa for you" Suzy said
"I'm sure Nurse Lisa will understand" Doc Wendy replied "I'll go now, since we have to prepare" Doc Wendy then went out the door
"Lisa is probably bonding with her parents now, she's not responding from the messages I've sent" Suzy said while looking at her phone
"It's okay don't bother her, I'll sure she'll be here since her night shift is about to start" I sighed and just lied down on my bed "Let's go see the stars Suzy" I said and commanded her to turn the lights off
I hissed when the lights from my room was turned on "Miss Bae you have to change into scrubs now" a a short girl entered the room said holding the scrubs. Her voice is shaking
"Sure" I said and she went to my bed side to assist me into changing "It's okay I can manage" I took the scrubs from her hands and noticed her hand trembling
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Y-yes ma'am" she responded her voice still shaking
"I'll just wait outside then" she then went out the door without looking back
I heard Suzy tutt so I looked at her "Tsk Tsk Tsk poor girl, she must be traumatized" she said so I looked at her sternly "What?" she asked and shakes her head
"Tell her she can enter now" I said to Suzy and the small girl entered the room. She went directly to my bedside and pulled the wheeled bed without looking at me
I want her to be comfortable so I started a small talk "You're Chaeyoung right?"
"Yes, Miss Bae" she responded and I saw her gulp hard
"Look I'm sorry if I scared you, I sincerely am" I smiled at her and she smiled back, nervousness now out of her face
"It's okay Miss Bae" said as she continue to push the wheeled bed to the O.R
"Have you seen Lisa?" I asked
"Not yet Miss Bae, but she's on her way I guess"
"Can you tell my sister to explain it to Lisa?"
"Affirmative"
"Thanks"
I'm now inside the O.R lying down, it's really bright here. Doc Wendy appeared in front of me
"Miss Bae are you ready?" she asked
"Yes"
"The anesthesia will keep you asleep the whole surgery" she then nodded at the guys beside me who I guess is the anesthesiologist "Now I want you to count to ten but backwards"
"Okay"

"7" I started to feel sleepy as I count

"4!" I screamed as I got up from bed
"Hey, it's okay I'm here. Don't get up" Lisa said as she guide me to lie down on my bed again
"You're here" I said as I look at her
"Of course I am silly" she chuckles
"Uh, how long was I asleep?"
"You still are"
"What do you mean?" I asked her confused
"Don't forget to read the letter Hyun. I love you" she kissed my forehead and went out of the room
"Lisa" I called her but she didn't look back "Lisa!"
"Lisa!" I gasped for air as I got up from bed. Was that a dream?
"Unnie" Suzy was beside of my bed holding my hand "Lie down" she said to me softly and I obliged
"The letter" I said and reached to the drawer beside my bed but I can't reach it
"Unnie" Suzy said again and I just looked at her
"The letter Suzy it's inside that drawer" I said and pointed. She reached for it and opened the drawer, she took the letter and gave it to me

You might be wondering how I knew that name (Irene). 'Maybe Suzy told her when they were talking about my childhood friend'. You might be wondering that, but the truth is. It's me Lili, your childhood friend, the one who took care of you when you get sick everytime we play, the one who stayed by your side on your weak days. It's me, it really is me, Lili, your Lili. I was really sad when I went home and you're gone, my favorite neighbour is gone, I really had a hard time finding you but destiny works in a mysterious way and I believe I found you at the right time. You're the reason why i became a nurse, you're the reason why I stayed in Seoul. I was a child when I met you but I know what love is. I love you, my Irene.

I felt my cheeks wet from crying, happy tears. Lisa is Lili, Lisa is my Lili. I smiled widely when it all started to sink in. We're destined, destiny does work in a mysterious way
"Suzy! Lisa is My Lili, my childhood friend!" I exclaimed and laugh as I try to get up
"Unnie, lie down you just got a surgery" Suzy scolded me so I lied down
"Where's Lisa? I mean Lili? " I asked her smile still plastered on my face
"Unnie....." she held my hand and looked at me seriously
My smile faded "Suzy, where's my Lili?"
The door swung open revealing Doc Wendy and Nurse Taeyeon
"Miss Bae it's good that you're awake" Nurse Taeyeon said
"Lisa? Where's Lisa? She should be here right?" I asked, the both of them are silent and it's making me impatient, why is no one answering my question?!
"Can someone answer my question please?!" I exclaimed
"Miss Bae, calm down its not good for your heart" Doc Wendy said
"Then answer my goddamn question!"
"Uh... nurse Lisa, uhm Nurse Lisa... was in a car accident" Doc Wendy said
"Oh my god!" I covered my mouth with both hands "Is she okay?.... She's okay right?" they're all silent and didn't answer my question "Where is she I have to see her" I said as I try to get up but Suzy stopped me
"Where's Lisa?" I asked again
"-Uh... Nurse Lisa was sent to YG hospital"
"It's the same hospital as-"
"Yes, it's the same hospital where you got your heart" Doc Wendy cutted me off
"And, how is she?" I asked
"Miss Bae.... Nurse Lisa got into car accident and she-"
"She what?!"
Nurse Taeyeon this time replied "Nurse Lisa is......... the.... brain dead patient"
"W-what do you m-mean?" my eyesight getting blurry as I feel tears forming
I looked at Suzy beside me crying "Unnie... the heart...... the heart you have............. I-it's Lisa's"
