Chapter two: Only Because I Can't Resist Your Cuteness
Warning: cuts, bruises, blood, cursing, threatening, tiny bit flirting
At the hospital
"Okay, I just texted Jack that we are in the hospital, they're coming now" Spot said as he hugged Albert in the little chair they were sharing because there weren't any other seats empty in the waiting room.
"Is all of them coming?" Albert asked but quickly got his answer as all of his brothers, sisters and friends came through the door and into the waiting room.
Everyone started talking at the same time and it was hilarious to see everyone else in the room's faces. "Guys! Stop it, you're scaring the life out of other people. One at a time, Jack first" Spot exclaimed as he pointed to Jack.
"Where is Racetrack? And is he gonna be okay?" Jack asked.
"He's in one of the many rooms, getting treated and taken care of. We don't know if he is okay but he probably is" Albert said calmly.
"Katherine" Spot said and pointed to her.
"How badly is he hurt?" she asked.
"He had cuts all over his body and where he didn't have cuts, he had either blood or bruises from kicks and punches. He was bleeding from his mouth and nose as well as most of his body" Albert answered.
"Any more questions?" Spot asked.
"Yes, when can we see him?" Red asked.
"We don't know yet" Spot said. "Before you turn into wild beasts again, sit down on the floor and be either quiet or whisper talk with each other" Jack was about to say something before Spot cut him of. "You should listen to me because I am not afraid to let Skittery take out his anger on you" he said and glared at Jack who sat down on the floor as well as the other Newsies.
"How the heck did you get all of those animals to be this quiet and well behaved?" Miss Medda asked in shock and sounded as if she was terrified.
"He just says that he will let Skittery take out his anger on them if they don't listen and trust me, that ain't gonna be pretty at all if he let's him do that" Albert said. Spot smiled. "You don't happen to remember that time when everyone here, except for Crutchie, came home with purple marks and bruises all over them after they had been at the park?"
"Of course I do! It was a nightmare" she answered.
"Yeah, well, the beasts where being beasty so I let Skittery do it and that's why they were all so bruised" Spot said and smiled.
"Okay, well now I understand it" she said and sat down on the floor as well.
"Should I be concerned about your family?" the lady in the information center asked looking at Spot.
"Nope, we're nearly thirty people so it's okay" he said and smiled. Albert chuckled and put his head on Spot's shoulder.
"I love you Al"
"I love you too Spotty" Albert answered.
Three hours later
A doctor came into the waiting room to all the boys and girls. "Hey, who here is Medda Larkins, Spot Conlon and Albert DaSilva?" he asked.
"us" the three said as they got up and walked over to him.
"Any news?" Spot asked the man.
"Yes, Anthony is okay, he needs to rest but he refuses to let us bandage him up because he wants someone called Specs to do it?" the man said, sounding like it was a question. "He also said that he wanted to have Spot and Albert by his side when Specs was doing it"
"okay, but we will get two more people with us in there so that they can help Specs" Spot said to the man.
"Specs, Romeo, Buttons, you guys are gonna bandage up Racetrack, understood?" Spot said, sternly.
"Yes, sir" The three boys said as they got up from the floor and came to stand beside Spot, Albert and Medda.
"Medda, is it okay if you stay out here?" Spot asked her and she nodded.
"Okay, follow me" the man said and headed to the elevator.
In Race's hospital room
"Oh my god Racer, you look terrible" Buttons gasped when he saw Race on the bed.
"Thanks" Race said and chuckled before wincing in pain.
"Okay, Specs, Romeo and Buttons are gonna bandage you up while me and Spot are gonna comfort you" Albert informed Race. Race nodded.
They cleaned the cuts and after a lot of tears and pain they got through it. Romeo grabbed the bandages and gave a pack to Specs and one to Buttons. Specs took Race's right arm, Romeo took Race's left arm and Buttons took his legs. They got done with that and moved over to the stomach and chest area where they were gonna do it together because of all the cuts there. "Okay Racetrack, we are now moving on to your stomach and chest area where we are all gonna do it together because this is where it is the worst" Specs said to Race.
Race nodded. Spot and Albert took each of Race's hands to comfort him.
After bandaging
The doctor came back in the room as they got done. "Okay, you guys seem like you have done this before" he said.
Specs nodded "Yeah, when you have a family of thirty people who all get hurt at least one time every week, you get the hang of it" he said.
"and this one is the one that always gets hurt" Romeo said and laughed.
"Okay, well since you guys know how to do it, I'll say that you can go home today" the doctor said and smiled at Race who smiled back. "He can only take pain killers if it is absolutely necessary"
"Okay, thank you" Albert said to the doctor as he walked out of the room to find Medda and let her sign him out of there.
"Time to go home Racetrack Higgins" Spot said and chuckled. They helped Race out of the bed. He didn't have a lot of clothes on besides a pair of thin paints that he borrowed from Romeo and his flannel but he was also almost in clothes because of all the bandages.
They got into the waiting room and all of the Newsies gasped as they saw Race covered in bandages and barely walking. "Turn into animals and I will let Skittery" Spot said.
"How are you feeling Racetrack?" Jack asked Race.
"Like I've been beaten half to death" Race said and chuckled before he winced in pain again. "Remind me to not laugh, chuckle or even talk because it hurts" he said.
"We'll do" Crutchie said.
"Can we please go home now? I want to get out of this hell hole" Race asked annoyed.
"First of all, don't curse. Second of all, yes" Miss Medda said. They all walked out to the car that Medda, Race, Spot, Albert and Jack was gonna drive while the others would walk home.
"Davey, you're in charge of the group when you are walking to Medda's House. Everyone is going there and if anyone says otherwise then remind them of what I have said now" Jack said as he sat down in front seat of the car and closed the door.

At home
"Okay, you're gonna go lay down in your bed, Spot and Albert, you are allowed to sleep in the same room as long as you are sleeping on something on the floor" Medda said as the three boys headed upstairs to Race and Kid Blink's room. "Kid Blink, you are sharing the same room as your soulmate and Romeo while Anthony is healing" that was the last thing the three boys heard before they reached Race and Blink's room.
"Lay down on your bunk" Spot said to Race.
"I can't, my bunk is the top" Race said.
"Lay down on Blink's bunk then" Albert said.
"Why?" Race whined at the boys.
"Because you need to rest" they said in unison.
Race rolled his eyes "Fine, but only because I can't resist your cuteness" he said and laid down on Blink's bunk. "I hate you guys"
"No, you don't, you love us" Spot said, flirtingly. Race started blushing and pushed the pillow to his face even tho it hurt as hell.
"Shut up" he said but it got muffled in the pillow.
"What did you say cutie?" Albert asked him, smirking.
Race took his pillow off his face. "Jaaaack!!" he screamed. Jack immediately came running into the room.
